discussion on bugs and exploits
so, I see a whole bunch of people talk about certain exploits or bugs to justify 1 or another. I dont understand why.
Take for instance blights many different techs right? so he can hug tech and turn completely, he can break his turn limit, I also found out with keybindings set to q and e you can turn him while rushing which is funny. and a really weird one is that a blight can go one way on a wall in like a moonwalk by flicking his camera and then because he flicked it so much he starts going to the side he started his rush on.
Many people hate the top tier blights because they do these tricks which are honestly nasty and unfair as ive been watching some lilithomen, but people always refer to survivors 360 as a bug.
How are these comparable? one is easily countered by turning your mouse and the other involved welp hoping you played correctly because if the blight is around a wall you cant know what move he is doing.
Also its a game with movement and camera movement that are not controlled with the same stick or binding depending on your platform, so the fact you can turn isnt really a bug or exploit, turning faster with camera movement idk about that, but i dont have to turn my camera to 360 and i use a controller for survivor.
I dont understand why people hop back to survivor 360 to justify a multitude of techs on one of the strongest killers, also yes technically a window tech shouldnt be possible, yes its skillful to do these techs but at the end of it all, bugs need to be patched and some things shouldnt stay in the game.
SPACE BILLY SHOULD ALWAYS BE ALLOWED, I am pretty sure space billy is the only exploit that deserves to be in the game tbh.
OH yeah main point, quit using whataboutism for every issue in the game and bugs

while im fine with space billy i dont think bringing back bugs is on the table.

Blight can’t break his turn limit. His maximum turn per frame is 90°. He can pre-turn, or attack to move to the next frame in a double flick. These are both intentionally created mechanics. Hug tech is unintended but the sliding mechanic as a whole is an intentionally created mechanic.
Hug tech is easier to counter than bump logic in return for being able to use less Rushes and looking cooler. I’d rather BHVR balance around it instead of bugging every single collision interaction under the sun trying to remove a gimmick.

sorry but wdym easier? one lets you ignore loop tiles and the other one requires more big brain plays

Suzu is right. It's pretty much the survivors fault if they get hit at anything but a very small tile with the hug tech. Ignoring them? no. Though I am not downplaying it, It really does help at tiles with nothing around to use bump logic. But genuinely most people that complain about the hug tech are just standing still at the part of a tile that you stand at vs normal m1 killers. You really just have to play differently. Or would you rather I take pallet side and then just beat you back around with speed. Oh and yeah blight can under no circumstance break his turn limit. Well other than the very rare instances of fatigue cancel that basically just makes you do a quick m1 without a lunge.
