Is Chains of Hate worth it?
Is cabins of hate worth it? I'm considering getting it but I'd like some opinions.

He has some interesting perks. The killer was nerfed into oblivion but worth it on sale still.

Im a slinger main and if you are buying it for the killer, do NOT bother, he is just a watered down huntress, now if you want his perks, he has only one thats good, but its pretty good and thats deadman's, zarina has off the record which is pretty good too and she is imo one of the most cool survivors so there is that.

As of right now I have Deathslinger but not the full DLC. I think Deathslinger is definitely a decent killer but if I were you I'd just grind out Iridescent shards for it.

I wouldn't pay money for it. Get the characters with shards if you must, but honestly this chapter really has fallen off grace.
Deathslinger used to be a very unique and fun Killer experience, but they nerfed him so hard he is barely recognisable anymore. He is not necessarily weak, but he is slow, feels clunky and can't really do much but slowly zone people out with his power nowadays. I guess if you really like zoning Killers he's gonna be fun, but outside of that not really.
As for Perks, they are pretty decent. Gearhead is whatever, Hex: Retribution is actually quite good, Dead Man's Switch is currently meta, Red Herring is purely for memes, For The People has a small nieche and Off The Record is currently meta as well.
So I'd say the big selling points here are Retribution, Dead Man's Switch and Off The Record, which you could also just unlock using the Shrine of Secrets (with potentially long waiting times) or by purchasing whichever side you want to play as with Shards instead of buying the whole DLC.

But them with shards slinger had dead man’s switch which is good with pain resonance and Zarina has off the record

Eh. His anti-loop power is more detrimental than useful a lot of times. The Lament can be fun but you don't do much with it other than maybe find it before them occasionally. His perks are pretty good, Plaything is great for hex builds and gift of pain can be useful as well. Deadlock is a staple for Gen slowdown.

depends what you're looking for i guess. i love slinger, i think he's a lot of fun even post-nerf but a lot of people disagree.

Pinheads DLC was called "Hellraiser", "Chains of Hate" was Deathslinger.
It's easy to mix up due to the emphasis of chains in the title, so I wanted to clear the confusion real quick :)

If you like the killer? Yes
If you don't like the killer? --> Do you like the perks? ---> If yes, then go for it. If not, don't bother.

They killed the character in every way possible, while giving him zero buffs to compensate for the massive nerfs across the board. Do not buy it.

I'd say pretty much any chapter is worth it. New characters and perks to play with is always good.

Wait for Shrine of Secrets to get their perks, unless you like Zarina aesthetically, there is no reason to buy the chapter or the characters.

for perks? yeah. zarina has 2 amazing perks and a meme perk, slinger has 2 perks that have great synergy with other perks and another perk thats just subpar tracking
for the killer/survivor themselves? slinger feels awful to play after he was nerfed to oblivion, zarina is an above average survivor (average loudness, average size, pretty good stealth, some good cosmetics)

How much do you like cowboys?
If you like Slinger’s aesthetic and the idea of using a harpoon gun like I do, I think he’ll be worth it and he has a good perk (DMS) to boot. OTR is fantastic so I think Zarina is worth it too.
Desthslinger is hard to play though, so be patient with him.

I wouldn't recommend it. I stopped playing Slinger because of the huge nerfs he got.

The next time it goes on sale it will be 50% off, as low as it can go.
I've been waiting until then to pick it up myself.
Edit: I thought you were talking about the Hellraiser chapter. I'd recommend buying Slinger for 9,000 Iridescent Shards rather than paying real money for the chapter.

It's worth it. Deathslinger is my favorite killer in the game. Zarina has 2 really good teachables and 'slinger has DMS which is something I run on every killer now.

I personally think Slinger is still fun and a nice middle tier killer even after the nerf, and the chapter has two very strong meta perks (Dead Man's Switch and Off the Record). Hex: Retribution is also decent.
