And why not? Is the concept of humans walking though other humans more viable in a fictional horror video games? Sandbagging for extended periods of time is bogus, but so is complete bodyblocking a dude build like a ton of bricks and probably weighting in as much. I always hated how bodyblocking often robs you as the killer of every possible opportunity to get at a survivor, but its part of the game and so I gotta deal with it. And so is bodybocking between survivors. But what that Cheryl did there was probably a bannable offense, so go ham at her.

I think maybe you misunderstood what they are complaining about? They’re not griping about bodyblocking as in interfering with the killer in a chase, they’re saying a survivor intentionally locked another in a corner for two minutes to throw the match.

Survivors walking through each other as a feature to prevent sandbagging is perfectly fine.

Body blocking between killer and survivor and body blocking between survivor and survivor are two different things though. Sure, body blocking can be annoying as killer but you can also use it to your advantage if you can block someone in a corner, for example with Billy or Bubba.

No, it's just you not understanding a simple concept of killer body blocking not being the same as a survivor getting bodyblocked in the corner by another survivor.

This has NOTHING to do with entitlement or "us vs them", this is about preventing someone from being taken hostage.
This shouldn't be hard to understand.

So, again the discussion is heating up way beyond what was originally intended and the discussion is in danger of derailing. Lets try to sort things out a bit.
I get where you are coming from, but we need a certain baseline, otherwise you can pull everything out of the hat, no matter how outlandish and magically explain it away as "The Entity willed it". While technically possible, most stuff in The Entities realm is clearly modelled to work after the real world, albeit with a somewhat lovecraftian and mystical slant.
I guess thats true and survivors sandbagging others for extended periods shouldn't be a thing. Maybe make the survivor exhausted after pushing, so that survivors would do it all the time just for the lulz, but only in desperate situations? It would suck to be exhausted for no reason at all, but thats a fleeting condition that we know how to deal with, and being stuck in a corner sucks even more.
This here, though, is a thing that I take some offense on, claiming "Yes, you can have the cake AND eat it" is hard to argue that thats not comeing off as at least rude and actually sounds pretty entitled.

Survivors pushing each other slowly actually sounds like a pretty decent idea now that we’re talking about it. It wouldn’t mess up game balance but it would prevent occasional extended bodyblocking in a corner. Plus thematically it’s probably more realistic then an afk survivor being an immobile statue.

There’s a big difference between bodyblocking a killer who can hit you and sandbagging a teammate in a corner.
Does it make sense from a real world perspective? No, obviously not, but it‘s a video game so it doesn’t have to.

Ah yes, I hate when I lose my invisibility bell in this real world, it makes me so angry that I run around shocking people with the electricity I create in my hands.
It is a damn game. You can create whatever you want, and a QoL mechanic to avoid being taken hostage is hardly outlandish, compared to what we already have.

Still, when you say "you can't have the cake and eat it" and the other side says "yes, you can", what is that? Is it nothing? Something? Anything? Having even a single crow on your head definitely needs to cause a survivor to lose collision, it's a no brainer. Personally I think they need to revamp the whole crow mechanic anyhow.
