Free borrowed time
As Survivor, I don't feel like I need to check when I have to unhook someone safely anymore. Before, I was making sure the killer wasn't around and then I unhooked. Now you can simply unhook under killer's nose and it feels so cheap with free borrowed time.

That would not stop people such as Otz from asking for grabs to be removed from the game. 10 second basekit BT is just not enough hand holding for some. They feel entitled to literal free unhooks, unfortunately.

Thank you to all Bubbas for making this happen

If you unhook under the killer's nose, and they aren't able to get the trade, that's on the killer

I believe if you watched the video he gave this as a counter to facecamping killers which is fair someone ruining the game for someone else should NOT be given results because they decided to not play the game. also it would still result in a trade.

You know what is even more fair? Counterplay. Let's go ahead and keep that in the game, thank you very much!

Bubbas are doing hook grabs now?
Did i miss something?

I believe they were speaking of the base kit BT. That being said, I do sometimes challenge those brave enough to approach with the opportunity to save if they can avoid the grab. It is the most engaging part of face camping, in my opinion. If you can call something so obvious an opinion, that is. I mean, not like I can do much else besides swing my hammer at them.

Idk killers camping also seems cheap.
Cheap tactics begets cheap mechanics

It is not as though he actively campaigns for it. But generally speaking, he does not think they should be a thing.

Otz proclaimed removing hook grabs of HEALTHY survivors. To remove those stupid hook stand offs and make it more difficult to face camp.

The endurance/haste upon being unhooked is for survivors to have some form anti tunnel basekit, rather than dedicating several perk slots to it. Survivors farming unhooks has been a thing since the beginning, only difference now is that the survivor getting unhooked doesn't get screwed over for it. If your unhooking under the killers nose, that killer should be able to get the unhooker who farmed.

That change doesn't matter at all if you do not camp. And if you do, you have to go after the unhooker. Trades are still possible.

Speaking of borrowed time, I've got a question.
Now that the base kit is 10 seconds, does that mean when you equip Borrowed Time that timer adds another 10 seconds making it a total of 20 seconds BT effect? What about with Guardian?
Thank you.

Yeah, fellow survivor main, survivors only get FREE, GUARANTEED safe unhooks now.
Also, solo Q is too easy, I have an escape rate of 106%.

lol, do you really play camping bubba?

I play killer alot, but I don't camp on a regular basis so I'm usually away from the hook when an unhook happens. I certainly don't have "storming survivors" on a regular basis.
"nothing we could do against it"
Hear for footsteps behind you, smack them while carrying, run backwards after hooking to make sure no one sneaks behind you.
"He can easily unhook him and the unhooked guy will just tank a hit for the unhooker."
Hit the healthy before they start the unhooking, so you can get the second hit after the unhook. When they don't have something to speed up unhooks (spine chill, desperate measures), the unhooked survivior is not fast enough to tank the second hit. Or use STBFL.
Last but not least, if the unhooked tanks a hit for an injured unhooker, quickly evaluate which target is easier to down, and follow them. If that means tunneling, they asked for it by body blocking. If the unhooked tanks for a healthy one, even more so.

Killer doesn´t even has to camp to get a grab. Just a survivor who instantly runs to the hook, either with the killer chasing him or by not giving the killer an oportunity to leave the hook.

"If you unhook under the killer's nose, and they don't tunnel the hell out of the unhooked survivor, that's on the killer"
There, fixed that for you

I never understood this change, base kit DS would of been better as this just encourages bad saves and the person doing the bad saves isnt punished anymore by unsafe hooks.
I still dont get why survivor got a mini bt base and killers didnt get a baby corrupt though

Yea I expected them to make "safe unhook" for 15s or something since they upped the base endurance duration.
Maybe they will adjust it in future

If the killer lets someone unhook then was it really a skilled play?
0 -
yes you get 20 seconds and runspeed boost stacks.

sounds good to me. The sooner face camping dies as a strategy the better. Even for the folks not on the hook, it makes the game intensely boring.

Don't know about you but many killers usually hook someone and go away. They don't expect a save right behind them. I also never expect it in most situations to be honest.

I don't understand the complaints about base BT or the removal on unhook grabs.
BT was already used in almost every scenario and was in most people's kit. It was such a standard that killers looked out for it even when not knowing it's in use making it the standard of DBD. All that not having it basekit did was making it use a perk slot reducing variety and making it so those few who didn't use it are basically throwing. You waited it out before, and you're waiting it out now, nothing changed.
As for unhook grabbing. I don't have a clip but imagine the unhook spam scenario. The perspective on the hooked person is that they constantly scream and their camera dances around. The unhooker spams left click while staring at the killer, and the killer just tries to guess when to press left click. Add ping into it and no skill is required, it's all luck. Regardless of balance if you think that's good gameplay then there's nothing someone could say to change your mind and there's no point discussing it.
