Did we ever got a confirmation if they fixed or not the DDOS issue they addressed a while ago?

It's been a while since I dropped the game after they had to openly admit in the forum(can't recall if they did on social media) that their game had security vulnerabilities and still kept their service online instead of dropping everything and put every effort to fix it, leaving the responsibility to use a VPN on the users.

I remember going back recently here after a friend insisted me to go back to play a few games, just to check if the issue was resolved and I didn't see a pin about it, just found that the warning message on the homepage gone.

So I assumed they did something about it, but now seeing that the game has issues again about ip adresses leaked and so much rampant cheating and stream sniping I'm not really sure if they fixed it and hackers got their way around again or if it just got brushed under the rug.

Does anyone know if there's a dev post adressing the issue being resolved back then? Is there anything being done at the moment or are we being kept in the dark not knowing if there's gonna be any notice on this issue anytime soon? I really don't understand how something this serious isn't causing a major uproar in the forums and social media.

I was constantly monitoring both the forums and twitter for that myself, but nothing was ever publicly addressed. They basically hoped that the DDOS epidemic would blow over, lose its popularity and people would move on without anything being done. I took a break from the game when artist came out hoping that the issue would be solved, but came back with a VPN 3 months later. I'm still using it and need it, getting DDOSed about once every two weeks on average. Sometimes more often, sometimes less often.

Nope, you just have to use a VPN. I forgot to turn it on yesterday and was DDosed as I was carrying the last survivor to the hook.

Maybe this is what the ptb delay is about.

All this is terrible, is there any affordable and okayish VPN out there? I know about nordVPN but even that feels something expensive for me right now, also I don't want to spend money on a VPN I will only be using for DBD since my country rarely has ISPs blocking stuff or accesing pirated content isn't really something that will get you into any trouble normally.

I hope this gets fixed soon 😥 and now that somewhat the biggest streamer of the game addressed this problem in one entire video it seems like a possibility?
