How to deal with complete newbies?
During my play time, it's quite common that I get at least one new player in my lobby (no prestige, free survivor).
Usually they go down fast, maybe even the killer goes after them on purpose. But when they get hooked, they attempt to escape cause they don't know any better and get to stage 2.
How am I suppose to play around that? I don't feel like slumming gens is enough when they shorten their time on hook and many times I go for the unhook so they don't die, I panic save because 4 is better than 3.
At least in facecamping/camping situation I know to focus on my gen and see if I can rescue them after some time, because some killers start to panic if they hear gens go by and you can actually do a rescue. But with newbies you don't even get that.

Repair gen and loop the killer. If you can’t keep the killer busy then you don’t deserve better teamates.
4 -
Considering your teammates can easily screw you over and drop your MMR, this feels flawed.

Some matches can’t be carried (and are not winnable) but a good survivor can carry some other matches, making a difference overall and will climb the MMR.
Stop blaming your team for everything. Even if the match is 100% lost, you can still find hatch and save your MMR. Play Clairvoyance.

You can't really compensate for them. They have to learn how the game works just like everyone else.

Yikes.

How can I keep him busy if he kills the newbie at the start of the game and niewbie goes to stage 2 in three seconds and at the same time I'm on gen. That's exactly what I described in first post.
Wouldn't you as a killer go for the easy down? Which is the more inexperienced survivor if you want to win?
Shouldn't I after 100+ hours get to play with people on my level and not people who probably have like 2 perks? And ofc same goes for being matched with the appropriate killer. Sometimes I get killers with 1 or 2 perks unlocked. How is that fair for them, if me and my team have been playing for a while?
The only way I can think of to prevent the newbie from falling first is to actively seek the killer at the start of the game and get him to chase me and pray the newbie can find gens and do them.

You aren't supposed to play around suiciding, well game shouldn't consider it.
Ask BHVR to remove kobe, that's an actual issue here.

Ez bro. Just do all 5 gens while looping the killer.
Real answer. Imo, you don't. You just hope they don't get found first and if they do, hope the killer doesn't tunnel out the obvious pick.
Just accept you're probably going to lose and move on. Or just do what I did years ago and be a killer main.
4 -
Hope that its a "I'm prestige 0 trust me bro !" mindgame .
Otherwise, carry the game !

It's sad cause they do get found first? Idk if it's because they can't hide or loop or the killer noticed them in the lobby and goes after them intentionally.

This is tricky, there is basically nothing you can to fix it in solo q. Sometimes the match is lost before you even begin. Lobby dodging may help, but you don't know who is good and who just plays a new survivor etc. Basically it all comes down to you just doing your part of the game.
If you want to fix this problem I would argue that adding some people you feel play the game good enough is the only answer. That way you know your teammates will do their part as well. It will be even better if you find someone to communicate on Discord with (or other programs).
What a rude comment.. grow up pls.

I do play with a few people sometimes, but they don't play as often as me so I've mostly been playing soloq. I would be interested in joining like a Discord group maybe in the future.

I would too! What timezone do you play in? Maybe we can play some time :)

Southeast Europe so GMT+3.

Then theres that one moment you get hooked after a 4 gen chase, and left to die on the hook cuz teammates
this is all i mean not 100% always the teammates lmao Im not puppers
(I swears i luv him but he was bad at that xD)

It is really hard to get out of low MMR hell especially in SoloQ try to find a decent SWF if you can.
But here's what you can do to maximize your chance of escaping while playing with new players.
Try to always take the aggro don't play stealthy you always want the killer to focus you if you're confident enough and consider yourself a decent looper you should be doing fine against most of the killer roster, you only have 100 hours so your MMR should still be low and you probably play against new/low MMR killers that don't know when to drop chases.
If you see one of your teammates getting tunneled try to takes some hits but only if gens are flying otherwise you should always be smashing gens and wasting no time you have to pray that your new teammates have watched some content creators guides on how to play survivor and can be "efficient" on gens.
The endgame for survivors is much harder now DS and OTR are disabled, so always bring Adrenaline for that extra IMPORTANT health state.
Don't go for risky endgame rescues you want to get out of MMR hell just leave play selfish and your MMR will start to grow you'll get better teammates surely(Clueless)
Good luck,I know that playing selfish and not being altruistic can be boring but it's the only way to get out of low MMR avoid unnecessary risks.

Well, first of all:
- Don't rant at them, don't scream at them, don't get angry with them.
- In the end-chat, try to speak with them and give them advice, teach them basics.
- Give them advice to watch some guides on a YT or other.
If it's really bothers you in your matches, try to give some advice to any new player you got matched with. It's not gonna take too much of your time. But you can make them play better next time.=)

Dodge the lobby. You probably have a 100% BP bonus and you queue up in like 20 seconds. Don't make yourself miserable for online strangers.
1 -
I don't really talk to them cause I assume they don't read the chat and I have crossplay on, so I'm not really ranting or lecturing my teammates.
1 -
I try but it doesn't always work. Might even have to do with the hours I play and sometimes I even get matched with people who are clearly Korean, I think it happened twice the past few days.
0 -
Thats why I told: Just try.=)
I mean, you can't really do much or "deal" with new players in your matches if you already got into a match.
The only thing you can do is to prevent these matches in a first place. Dodge them if you see the "signs" of a new player. That should be an answer.

Yeah it does seem that you need a different playstyle depending on the situation. I usually prioritize gens but I guess there's no point in that if you lose a teammate too fast.
I do go for risky hooks endgame at times and it has cost me escapes, it's very difficult to resist.
I actually like to play altruistically if I can (although it's hard in soloq if everyone is on different corners of the map) and I like taking protection hits or diverting the attention of the killer away from the recently unhooked. That is if I'm around. But that does indeed get me killed.
Thank you for the decent advice. <3

I'll try, thank you.

You have the best takes on these forums, hands down. Is that why your icon is no mither?

That is a little different from me.. little chance we meet up then :(

I figured, it's alright. The intent was nice enough <3.

Average killers will drop chase with you if they feel you are somewhat more decent than the others and will go look for the weak links. That's the case at most low to mid MMR matches. Killers drop their chases with me most of the time when i don't go down for a minute and will deliberately ignore me even if i give them a free hit for attention.
Though i don't blame them for such tactic but it's not as easy as you make it sound.

Don’t give advice unless they ask. Nobody likes unwanted advice.

True but you already wasted a ton of time for the killer.
If you looped the killer for 2 gen minimum, it’s very easy to win at this point. It’s not uncommon to repair 3 gen on average as a solo survivor in low MMR.
That’s why I recommend to play :
- Dead hard, Overzealous, Inner healing, Clairvoyance. Low MMR build, break a totem early game and smash the gens or loop the killer. You don’t need teamates to heal yourself (inner healing) and you get aura on gens (very good to be efficient and prevent a 3gen), exit doors and hatch. If the match is lost, Clairvoyance will guarantee hatch 90% of the time.
- Dead hard, Stack out, Hyperfocus, Prove thyself (or Clairvoyance still, but less useful,or Reassurance if you want altruism) for Mid to High MMR when you have decent teamates (that can loop). With this you simply destroy gens as fast as you can and get ton of value for being close to the killer (saves, being chased).
Coming from you, one of the biggest troll of this forum, it’s a compliment. All you do is cry all day about "the state of soloQ" without giving advice or fixes for devs so much that I am positive you are a killer main at this point (like Sluzzy the nurse god).

Do you know what a troll means? You disagreeing with me not liking the state of solo q =/= me being a troll. Maybe watch your mouth next time.
1 -
Lmao who’s the troll here?

Ask them if they would like pointers, advise
Try and take charge of the match
