PLEASE do something about cheaters already.
I am currently being held hostage at the moment, but the cheating has been so common for me and it's getting ridiculous. So many content creators have been making videos about it and it shows how much of a problem it is, these players are plaguing the game and ruining it for so many others. You guys need to do something already. I'm going to take a break due to these players, kind of like Otzdarva or Spooks. until they do something about it, I am not returning.
If there isn't a change this upcoming patch, then I don't know what to say.

And yet there is no fix, it's been months now and no answers. I hope more content creators make more videos so Behavior can finally get the message that they have to do something, otherwise so many others are going to eventually get burned out of the game due to this situation and quit.
I don't blame them in the slightest for taking a break or being fed up with it. If there is no solution this upcoming patch, then I am not returning and I'm sure so many others will not return as well. But I will stay on the forums because I like the forums a lot.

What to do with a cheater in your lobby. Make sure to record what's happening, quit the match and make a report in game. Make sure to copy the name of the cheater (if possible) otherwise just reporting him in game is enough. As you're waiting 5 mins, just set up the report on their report page and, by the time you're done, your penalty is over and you can play again. That's at least how I handle it!

I've stopped reporting.
There's no point in going through all that trouble for them to just have hundreds of other accounts

That's also very true. I always say in end game chat "go make a new account" since I know they can. I just do it to be a little bit annoying and make them go through that effort, as meaningless as it sounds.

It's legitimately more trouble to report them than it is for them to make a new account.

I have also quit doing formal reports on the website here. I still report in game but cheaters have become common enough in my daily games that I no longer wish to save a clip, upload it, do all the paperwork and yada yada.

Same, there is no pointing in reporting. Especially if they have more accounts, one of @Unknown2765 posts state there is a cheater hive with 500 people. Just imagine how many accounts they own when paying with their mommy's credit card, it's just sad.
