Do yall think it will ever be possible for the game to allow more than 2 AI entities?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, im not trying to be negative or anything, im just curious.
Im a Nemesis main and he feels pretty fun for me. One thing i thought was neat was his zombies as its pretty fun to have minions.
One thing i really thought would have been cool was being able to have like a group of zombies to boss around, maybe with addons or something. Sadly, i learned the game can only handle two. A shame, but i get it.
However, i was wondering if there were any plans to maybe take a look into the game itself and try to fix the problems like this.
I get that it's easier said than done, but I just think that it would be healthy for the game if those kind of problems are looked at and maybe one day, i can get a zombie army lol

I don't believe they have ever said that the choice to have 2 zombies was a technical limitation.

i cant confirm, but i asked around and apparently it was stated during the ptb thread or something. I didnt see it myself so i could be wrong (i really hope i am too), but I've had like 30 people say thats the official reason so i just assumed it was the case.
If its not, that would be dope though!

Well they are adding bots to custom matches soon (maybe even next midchapter if we're lucky!) If those bots work out well it wouldn't surprise me if they consider applying their pathing AI to things like the Nemesis zombies, different types of pets, and also maybe consider eventually replacing disconnected players with bots. (In fact DbD Mobile already replaces disconnected players with bots and it seems to work pretty well. The bots aren't as good as humans but they're better than no player at all!)

The story goes like this, so gather around!
While developing Nemmy they tried an Iri add-on that would spawn in a third zom zom. Apparently it tanked game performance so badly they scrapped the idea and changed the add-on.
Now assuming they develop their game on bad-azz PC's, what hope is there any of the consoles or lower-end PC's could handle that? Imagine what would happen to our poor Switch cousins, their machines would prolly melt.

Sadly the mobile version of the game was re-coded from the ground up, with things like bots in mind. Might have to wait for DBD2 for replacing those who DC and other cool additions. If they even do a DBD2.

Yeah, I know, that’s the main reason it hasn’t happened here so far. I’m just saying the system does seem to work in general though on that mobile version so if or when they try it on PC it could be a nice change,

Very unfortunate. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the reply! Im really hoping they might take a look at it again! Id love to have a zombie horde roaming around lol

Unless they heavily re-do their AI algorithm, abandon last gen consoles, or better optimize the general code then no, nemesis release had huge performance issues for older consoles.

Absolutely it would. I am quite dubious whether it'll actually happen though.

Damn, what a shame. Thanks for the reply.

Can't the mobile team and steam team get together and be like "So John... how'd you add that AI" Lol

Doesn't nemmy have an iri that spawned all zombies defeated from pallet smashes or tentacle strikes respawn when the exit gates opened? Or was that a long time ago?

Unfortunately that's not how it works, the DbD Mobile game was built from the ground up with its own engine. It's not trivial to import things from the mobile game to the PC game.

As far as I know after the PTB he could only have two max no matter what.
