Am i being paranaoid or Hatches spawn near the last survivor most of the time?
Its like hatch was scripted to spawn near the last survivor 80%.

You being paranoid. In most of the games I played before I quit the killer found the hatch first
3 -
For me, killers find it first about 75% of the time.

You are being paranoid. It wouldnt make any sense.

Doesn't the hatch technically spawn right at the start of the Match, but is just invisible?
1 -
Yes, technically you can step on it while it is invisible
1 -
Nope! It doesn't have collision until its spawned.

I've had it appear literally beneath my feet as killer twice this month.
1 -
In my experience killer finds hatch 3/4 of the time.
(Whether I am playing survivor or killer)

Maybe they fixed it by now, but there wa a time when you good find the hatch before it officially spawned because of the collision.
Either way, if the hatch spawns at the beginning of the match, it is just a coincidence when it opens near the last surv.

No, this is just confirmation bias on your part. There's no way behavior has the programming acumen to do this, even if they wanted to.

Or you're just unlucky like me?
If I play killer it spawns right at their feet, as soon as the 3rd dies the 4th escapes.
If I play survivor as soon as the 3rd dies 2 seconds later the hatch closes.
There have been some meme moments where me and the last survivor are just looking at each other nodding and the hatch spawns next to us and we slowly look at it and look back before nodding some more lol

Opposite for me I have horrible luck finding the hatch first and I'd say at least 50% or more of the time it spawns close to survivors.

Paranoid. Hatch spawns are decided at start of the match, it's pure luck when it spawns next to a survivor. I've seen the hatch spawn next to the last survivor just as often as I've seen the killer instantly close it because it spawned next to them.

If only it did. Killers have a big advantage looking for hatch versus survivor because they can move freely without needing to worry about stealth. Survs unless they are running Left Behind are at a big disadvantage, they have to try to avoid killer and stay hidden while looking for hatch. Whereas killer can beeline all around the map as fast as they like they simply need to find the hatch before the survivor does.

Paranoid.
I play both sides pretty equally, and in my experience it spawns far away from me just as often as it spawns right near me. Once you play enough you can predict places it might spawn, pick one, run there and get lucky, but it's really just RNG.

I rarely find hatch, but I'm also bad at knowing where it spawns.
