Just get rid of SWF already.
Almost all balance problems in this game arise from the gap between SWF and Solo Queue.
This mori patch will serve as a huge buff for SWF. The killer has literally no countermeasures against Sabotage, who communicates via Discord when a survivor was downed under the palette.
I think the maximum number of SWF should be reduced to two, or additional benefits or compensation should be given to Killers who deal with SWF.

Yes BHVR, just kill off your game.
Killer queue times are already longer than survivor queue times, this would just sky rocket killer queue times to 30+ minutes.

There are better ways than removing it from the game. Honestly giving solo queue voice comms and balancing around that is probably the best bet.

Sure and we can just shut down the dbd servers because it would kill the game. Not only would almost everyone that plays in a swf would leave plus you would just be slapping the general survivor playerbase in the face and you would kill new people coming in because they can't play with there friends.

Or maybe just not do the mori patch? Better that than get rid of swf. That would be an insane decision. But I do agree that the mori patch would be an insane thing for swf squads. Solid awf squads are already good enough. They do not need help.

They can close the gap. If you give Solo Q a bunch more information and balance around that SWF callouts won't be nearly as comparably powerful. They need to bring Solo Q up to SWF standards and then balance around this new Solo Q. Then SWF won't be such a pain.
And yeah as people have said removing SWF would kill the game. I for one would stop playing survivor all together and honestly wouldn't be invested enough in the game on the whole anymore to play killer.

The game is already "dead" for veteran players like myself. Its about time to bring new gamemodes or change the most boring part of playing survivor, holding M1.. The core mechanic has being the same since 2016. I find myself playing little to nothing this days.. only when a new chapter arrives and i drop again after 1 or 2 weeks. Killer is a little more fun but not enough to keep me playing for longer either.

I love how people wanna remove fun from a video game, making posts saying "remove SWF" It's silly. Buff Solo Que, add more ways to communicate or show what's going on, one of my favorite suggestions, the indicators on the hud if someone is on a gen or getting chased etc.

Thats really hard to believe.. I haven't seen anyone say something like that, do you really like playing the same "mode" and holding M1 but nothing else when the killer is not chasing you? Or you are againts any core changes? To me the game needs a revamp, a face wash in terms of core mechanics at least in some alternative mode from long time ago.

So you don't play survivor at all or very little.. That explain it. Well Killer is more fun obviously, i also enjoy more playing killer. But i woudn't mind more variety that affect both sides in terms of gameplay. It has been requested many times by the community, like the 2 killers vs 6/8 survivors caos or something else completely different.
I think the devs are slowly trying to revamp the core mechanics but are too afraid to make big changes.. Like the mori rework that was announced long time ago, it looks like now it finally happening im curious about how the new "basekit mori" and basekit UB thing will turn out, i hope it adds more spice to the game and not completely breaks it like most people think.

Do you really think people are drawn to monumentally cool and original games being finely honed and crafted with a sense of balance and excitement, free to implement all kinds of modes and experimental features that are otherwise impossible in some washed-out compromise version of that game that foolishly got bogged-down and burned-out on a Sisyphean effort forever balancing two wildly different gameplay conditions as one without ever acknowledging any differences and drawbacks?

No because, like I have said every time someone wanted to do this, removing SWF would actively harm the game as it would seem as if the devs discourage wanting to play with friends

I mean.... it wouldn't. But it's not going to happen regardless.
And if it ever did happen, it's not going to be the same as it would've been making that decision originally and rolling with it.
It's way too late to put the genie back in the bottle and start being balanced and geared towards something that can do way more.
At best we get some moderate measures to buff information or add emoticons/chat to solo that "bridge the gap" (lol)

I am in favor of it. But not across the board.
There was a suggestion in the past to debuff the SWF case, but the developer responded that one should not be punished for playing with friends. I still think it is ridiculous.
Because they don't look at the fact that your opponents are being punished just because they are playing with their friends.
Voice chat provides an advantage that more than makes up for the several perks of Survivor. It has the advantage of nullifying any number of killer abilities, tactics and perks.
We need to think long and hard about what additional benefits and compensations should be given, but I think SWF is the cause of many problems in DbD.
Of course, this is not intended to neglect solo survivors.

Yea tell me about it, i mostly play solo Q when i play survivor and its awful, plus the MM don't feel like its doing any justice while looking at my teammates. But well at least i enjoy it when i get good chases despite dying 😂
Its really hard to balance a game when you have two completely different scenarios.. Its noticeable while playing survivor and while playing killer, the gap is huge.

I've been playing mostly survivor since 2018 and still have fun, of course I would love to have more gamemodes or other gamechanging features, but I still like the game as it is.

Honestly If bhvr ever did remove swf from the game it would kill the entire survivor players fun there really is only one solution imo and thats adding a ranked mode on top of what we have now. This game tho is not really meant to be played like it is a ranked challenge based game such as games like Overwatch. Ranked however would really make the devs have to properly balance the game as it would shine a lot of light onto its core. Heres the thing tho would most of us players enjoy the game after this got implemented I love balance but sometimes i feel like its the lil imbalances that make DBD a fun game as they are overwhelming just op from time to time that wear off. Swfs are the only reason I still play this game as solo que sucks since there is no built in voice comms. As you can tell im typically a survivor but I still enjoy killer when my friends arent able to play now if we could ever get 2 killers vs X number of survivors that might be fun as then you could tag team it would tho require a massive rework of perks and ideas and may not be something that would ever be balanced until a dbd sequel got released.

Even better suggestion : allow killers to opt out of being matched with 3 or 4 swf.
You cant force people not to play with friends , the same way you should not force killers to play against swf teams. Karma, even grounds, problem solved. Who wants to play against swf will play, who does not want will not be forced.

There is no dimension or alternate reality where BHVR removes SWF. The game would be done.

Limit swf and it will be fine.
Add the rule : no character, item or perk repeats.
Show all perks over each player's head in the lobby.
Show all perks that are not repeated in blue (think Vigil).
Show all perks that are repeated in red (think Franklin's Demise).

Why is it the fault of the players that the devs refuse to implement the easiest methods of reducing SWFs?
You should be looking at the devs, and their incompetence to eliminate long-standing problems in the game.

When the Killer buff patch came, all us Survivor mains where complaining about the game being too buffed for the Killers. And now, it’s reversed.. just calm down, maybe they will change something during the PTB

despite i'm all in for seeing SWF relegated only in custom matches, this will not happen since the devs think that they NEED premades to keep this game alive... short words you are asking for something that will never be done despite it's the right decision regarding gameplay balance...
