So, with the basekit BT change, should killer power timers pause when picking survivors up?

Saw in another thread how several killers will basically lose their power after downing one person because, by the end of their power, the first people they hit will be getting back up. As such, they HAVE to pick up a survivor when they down them, or maybe get 2 downs and hook them both if the situation allows it.

With all that said, would it be worth making a change to how killer powers on a timer work? Pause the timer when they pick a survivor up, and continue the timer when they are no longer holding a survivor?

This would fix the obvious problem of spending a lot of time to build their power, only to get to use it on one survivor, 2 tops. This would also make it a bit harder for survivors to guess when the power is going to run out, as now there are variable time delays in play in the form of travel time for the killer to the hook.

Off the top of my head, it's the easiest way to deal with the issue of Oni or Myers losing the use of their power because new base mechanics require them to hook a target earlier than they would have previously. I also don't think it adds any major strength to any killer that it benefits. MAYBE Oni, but only because his counter-play would change a bit. Oni (without bugs) isn't that big of a deal, so I don't think a change that lengthens his power timer is a big deal either. If anything, it's a small buff that he would probably benefit from anyways without moving him too far up (if any) in the current meta.

Thoughts? Changes you would make? Cream and sugar in your coffee?
