Subtle cheating survivors are pathetic
it so hard to give survivors merits for their skills when a what seems like huge portion of them cheat. (btw have reported a lot of them although i should start recording these and ticketing them) lately ive had games where i would get stomped and you know I'd be frustrated cause everyone seems to be playing too well but for some of these games i catch them and realize they are pathetic they hack and cheat when im not looking so i won't report and sometime i have to guess they are stupid and leave some cheats on by accident. got a couple fun ones. a guy who i couldn't find all game was running speed hacks running from gen to gen soloing them very fast. now 2 reasons i caught him one quite subtle the other obvious and damning the subtle on is the game started im wraith got lethal pursuer on 1 player in a corner 3 in another I go for the 3 at a gen, its roughly 15 seconds in, they got 2/5s of a gen done as 3 together, i attack they flee roughly 20 seconds after that for a culmination of about 40 to 50 seconds into the game the 1 gen the guy who was in the other corner finished the gen and yes it was just him cause i down 1 of the 3 and ran back to the gen they were at and the other 2 were trying to finish it for map context its the clowns map 3 were in shack with gen 1 was by the carnival literally opposite end of the map. now it was a hectic game so it was hard to tell at that point i was surprised by the gen but not suspicious didn't have time to think about till post match but now here is the part where i caught him i had flood of rage and while walking to the cheaters gen a guy gets unhooked and i see his aura zooming away behind a wall where i wouldn't have seen if i didn't see his aura it was only for a second but i think he knew i saw his aura and started running normally after a second or 2 and no it wasn't sprint he brought in DH even if he did it was cheating speed not sprint burst speed like nurse blink speed. anyway i think i vented enough. hope the devs do some good work with the cheating problems

This is one of the most upsetting things to me, I just can never know if someone I faced is cheating so I don't know if I'm getting better or not.

One of the most upsetting things to me is that the DBD team knows that you still can't upload video evidence to the official reporting form and they know this! They won't fix it though... they e-mailed me saying I have to publicly upload my video evidence to YouTube and then they'll look over it. Are you serious? They really don't care about cheaters otherwise they would make it easier to report them.

If you use the chatbot on the support website you can directly upload videos under 50MB that way.

Oh, so that's why my reports never went through, well I guess the Jane that used sprint burst twice in a row gets off scot-free.

This Ace was moderately subtle the entire match, up until the end.
The moment me and my friend both say that our games tried to die is when the Killer's Xbox froze and then crashed, hence why the game ended.

It's not even just survivors doing it. Seen plenty of suspect killer gameplay lately with people just knowing exactly where you're at all times when they aren't even running any tracking perks or having unnatural movement speed and ending chases very fast.
I guess because it's so common now and it's constantly being discussed on the forums and by popular streamers it's probably encouraging more players to try out these hacks, especially when people just seem to be getting away with it.

Had that with a spirit once on Haddonfield. Me and Jane were in the basement doing the gan (or whatever that part of the house is called) and Spirit was hooking a survivor and she came immediately where we were. It was so strange cause we were half a map away. And I saw her perks and she didn't have any aura perks. SO either she was super smart or got lucky or something else was going on.
I also played against a suspect Trickster. He was level 70 prestige. He just double hooked all of us and then went AFK. At the end of the game he didn't even have any perks. Either he's the best Trickster around and tanking his MMR or something fishy was going on.
I just think it's much harder to realize as a solo survivor cause you can't share experiences with the rest of the team and compare etc. So if they're subtly cheating it's harder to understand.

I agree - they don’t seem to care that much. The only thing that will make them care is if people stop playing the game. It’s unfortunate, but falling player counts seems to be the only thing that motivates BHVR to act with any urgency

Was just about to say this.
Have a friend that runs OOO all the time, so he usually sees if killer has Lethal Pursuer. Spawned in our first game of the day, Temple of Purgation. The Nurse b-lined straight towards said friend, and he calls out Lethal Pursuer. He gets hooked. Later in the match, she went over myself and Yui, who I was healing as she was carrying someone to the hook through the Temple. It was obvious that she heard us, and I walked out of the temple, until I reached one of the pillar + wall structures that you can hid behind. Nurse walks out of the temple, literally perfectly aligned herself with where I was, even though nothing had happened in the match for a good 10-20 seconds and she charged her blink and teleported right to where I was hiding myself from her.
When I died, she had no Lethal Pursuer which my friend called out, and her only aura reading perk was BBQ + Chilli. Which would’ve not contributed to her finding me.

The game is really addicting though... even if there are a lot of things wrong with it, idk what it is about it. The feeling of accomplishing your objectives in the game? No idea... lol but at least they finally released some future plans on how they will deal with cheaters (part of the reason I removed my custom icons, just in case they upgrade their EAC and I don't know about it 😓)

ya killers get it easy too they can have something as simple as just seeing everyone's aura constantly and no one would ever know it would just be rid off as a very smart perceptive killer
