Anybody have a fix for Dregde ultimate being too dark? I cant see a damn thing
I cant see anything and I am runinng into walls. its so dumb. Fire up DBD with a looping build to have some fun, nope. Dredge makes my screen blacked out and I can barely see two feet in front of me.
There's no brightness settings either. How come I am watching YT videos of people with brighter screens during ultimate, but mine is so dark I am running into things?

Filters can make things less dark. That won't really help you see farther though, because during darkness everything outside a certain radius is simply obscured.

If you hate it that much bring WoO. It's a solid perk even outside of dredge and unless he's running third seal/his blindness addon you will be able to see vaults and pallets through darkness and still loop

And for console?

Thats... the whole point of his power.... to make things dark.

But I cant see anything and Im running into walls. How is this fun?

That's literally his entire power. Memorize the area you are in during the day and try not to get into chase at night.

His Nightfall does hurt my eyes after a bit.

I highly doubt you cant see anything. Either way you can memorize the layout of where you are before nightfall and that helps tremendously.

That's how it's meant to work.
Against Dredge, you're supposed to memorize the map layout somewhat so you can navigate it with restricted vision.
He sticks out like a sore thumb too.
If you're really struggling, WOO is great.
I enjoy playing against him - the trick is to plan escape routes ahead of time and loop wide enough that he can't use his remnant to catch you.

The same. Most flat-screen TVs that aren't 20 years old have sufficiently comprehensive brightness, contrast and saturation options to come close to what you can achieve on pc.
The same observation still applies. You won't be able to see any farther no matter what you do. But the strain on your eyes should lower. If your TV has and HDR mode, that is ideal as it can adjust your image when nightfall comes, then put everything back to how it was when it's over, so you don't end with weird image the rest of the game.

The visibility varies depending on the map. If you're playing on midwich you should avoid going into the courtyard at all costs.

I was on Saloon map. the cowboy western one. I couldnt see a damn thing and ran into walls, got downed instantly, no fun at all. Wanted to just die on hook and get it over with, so dumb,.

its supposed to be scary which equals fun (source: not me)

Are you trying to remove half of Dredges power? Sounds like cheating to me...
1 -
Yeah, I really wish they would tweak the visual effect of Nightfall just a little bit. I remember during the PTB it was way too weak, but now it's way too annoying given how much of an issue the game already has with brightness (for some players on some systems/configs). I want the effect to remain strong, but I think it could be significantly improved with some tweaks.

Use the tertiary action button when you have a flashlight and it'll illuminate an area 15 meters around you. You can use the same button when going against Clown to hold your breath and negate the effects of his gas.

Remove your sunglasses, it helps.

It doesn't need "fixed," you just need to learn to handle it. For chainhunts, solve a box. for sleep, wake yourself up. for marked, keep your eyes sharp for ghostface. For nightfall, keep your area in mind.

It is fun for dredge. Don't be selfish. Render under caesar that which is caesar's. Amen.
