Do you ever walk away from a trial completely mystified?
I just sacrificed myself. I finished the last gen as the killer was coming at me. You know the situation when you repair, let go to take a hit, repair while the killer is in cool down and finish the gen, then get downed? Yeah I was pretty satisfied with myself. And as the killer hooked me in the basement, I saw my 3 solo queue comrades across the map opening the exit gates. I thought, this is perfect. I let myself die on hook, not wanting anyone to risk coming across the map and into the basement.
The three survivors then proceed to run away from the two open exit gates and, in the span of about 90 seconds, turn a guaranteed 3 escape into 3 kills.
The people in solo queue hurt my brain.

I'll suicide on hook just to not guarantee another hook for the killer if I am far away from the team during EGC as well. But sometimes it basically guaranteed the 3-4k for the killer as teammates want to try to save you even if you're at a sliver of health.
Hurts my brain even more when there is NOED, no one looking for the totem, but everyone trying to go for the save. I don't see this often but when it does it makes me question everything.

But please never change this. It makes r the EGC as killer somewhat bearable to know, that survivors can sometimes mess up this big.

I guess in a way it's nice that people's gut reaction is to want to help their teammates. But sometimes you have to take a second and think, and ignore that feeling.
Yeah I'm sure that killer was pretty happy. I'm glad somebody could come out of that game smiling lol

There are survivor perks that help with endgame hook saves but I can’t recall a time I’ve seen anyone use them. Personally, I’ve managed to pull off EGC saves as the last upright survivor in a match so it can be done. It’s tough, but possible. I suppose on that note as both killer and survivor I’ve seen EGC scenarios snowball into a 3-4K. Also rare but possible.

I know it sucks but Survivors tend to get overconfident when the exit gates are either opened or 99%
And I do wish grades reflect how well Survivors and Killers do in matches not just the end result

I had 2 similar cases but on killer side some days ago: 1st one dealt with a toxic 6 seal team squad with wesker, forced to tunnel out of the game one of their mates (he died once all gens were done... Between bodyblocks, 2nd chances perks map too much safe and instaheals it was a real pain to get even one of them), but in the endgame I somehow reversed the dramatic situation, partially because a good chunk of the map was erased from the pallets due to the previous chases with the 1st survivors, partially because of their excessive confidence and partially because I started slugging... I somehow managed to kill 2 of them while I catched the 3rd on the exit gates, hooked him near the gates while the 4th just escaped... I was satyfied for killing 3 of them... When suddenly it happened: "4%" kobe (1st try FFS) and Thanks to the basekit BT he escaped through the exit gates... Stolen by a well deserved win against those toxic brats... The 2nd case was similar but they completed 4 gens before I killed the 1st one: I don't know how i did it, but I defended those gens until the end, managing well my pain resonance and slowly killing them all... In the end while I was chasing the last one and his mate was dying on the hook surprise surprise, THE ######### HATCH SPAWNED UNDER HER FEETS!!! I felt robbed because they deserved to loose, ALL OF THEM since they acted toxic all the time, but as always the game must aid those subjects everytime...

I'll do you one better, I had a trial this morning for the whole duration of which I was completely bamboozled.
It was against a Nemesis who used Shattered STARS Badge and Brian's Intestine, making his zombies periodically 185% faster than normal. I'd see them speeding up ridiculously and then have a "normal" speed (by comparison) when getting near me (Shattered badge running out), it threw me off so hard I started recording the game and kinda threw just following the zombies around to try and understand how their speeds worked.
I was full on investigating those addons haha !

I have an idea of a whole mechanic that to make end game more fun than just camping the hook because nothing else to do.

Yeah, I had a game yesterday. We were playing vs Oni in Haddonfield and you'd think the game started normally. Oni was chasing Nea and the rest were doing gens. Then at some point I'm not seeing anything happen. I do exit gates, Nea is tea-bagging me and flashlighting me while I try to heal her. The Oni is standing outside the exit game, then he gets his power I think and sprints away.
I really don't know what happened that game. Not even sure if he was farming or gave up or something.
Only he and Nea probably know what happened.

Had a Blight who was very clearly winning the match DC because, and I quote
"i'm sick of vsing garbage players" (He said this because he got outplayed by one of my teammates)
Then he challenged me to a 1v1 after I said he called us bad despite the fact he DCed.
I was astonished that even when some people are winning they are this entitled

I play solo queue a lot, so yes, I'm often completely mystified.

I don't think they wanna play better players, otherwise he would DC. Maybe he just wants to feel like it's close. But if he keeps DCing his MMr won't get better I guess?
I had a similar game against Wesker. He tunneled out a Mikaela then was AFK in front of gate and letting us do gens. Then he had No Way Out and when we went to open the other gate he started moving. I think we all made it out (except the dead Mikaela) and he was saying how we got out only because he let us go.

Nah it was close, like
He tunnelled someone out at 3 gens, but then we got to 1 gen and he was trying to slug everyone to death but when it didn't work and the person outplayed him he DCed.
But he could've easily won, all he had to do was stop slugging and hook the people he was downing.

That also mystifies me. It's not just you, maybe he didn't want to de-pip. I dunno, sounds really fragile.
The other thing that mystifies me is people insta-DC on hearing t=Nurse or when she hooks them, even though most of the times the Nurse player is of mid skill or even a newbie. And Nurses for the most part don't even camp, so for the most part they'll get unhooked.
