Sometimes I fake tunneling to bait out bodyblockers >_>
I'm not a fan of tunneling, however, sometimes I do some fake tunneling to bait out bodyblockers, or fake pickups to bait out flashlighters.
Here's a fake tunnel. I know the guy has OTR so he's in no danger (hence him running out to distract while having "secret endurance"), but I needed to keep NEA engaged to wrap up her stalk meter. (I was tired when I edited the video and put Meg)

Sounds similar to what I do with loopers. If I come across a player who I just can't seem to get a hit on, then i don't let them draw me into an insanely long chase while their mates rush gens. I'll get someone hooked or downed and force them to get in close to save them so it's easier for me to hit them.

And if the bait isn't taken what do you do, slug? Fake tunnelling is tunnelling, just dressed up with dirt and time wasted.

I mean that is a valid strategy especially against teams. If you fake it against a 4 man, that pulls 2 or even 3 of them off gens. People accidentally put themselves in bad spots when they think they have to save their friend from tunneling

Baited or not, it’s still smart to take protection hits and distract the killer from the tunnel, especially if you’re good in a chase.

It's only tunneling if you follow through with it. I'm a fairly nice killer. I don't tunnel, I hook then leave the hook area so they can get unhooked, and I almost always give hatch. If I end up downing someone that was recently hooked, I leave them there for someone to heal them. If no one comes for them, I just pick up and drop until they wiggle out and let them reset.
I prefer everyone have fun as a whole. Just my style.
Accurate! Protection hits are good. Just sometimes you can take advantage of that. I play both sides, but mostly play killer these days.

Not at all. They aren't just hanging on a hook doing jack. This is more like mind gaming. Getting a person to come out of hiding. Very smart and funny. They didn't tunnel the person out of the game, they actually attacked someone else, that's like the opposite of tunneling.

Funny enough I've done that before with Ghostface as well. I actually think it works the best on him since people seem to forget he can instadown. It can also work on Myers for a cheeky 99'd tier 3. Super situational and I've only ever done it with success like thrice but it is fun to pull off.

I want someone to do this but Myers, fully stalk someone, have them come for the body block, then pop your tier 3 with the hooked guy and shank the fully stalked person.
It would require a lot of luck but would be a god tier play.
