I think clown is one of the most boring killers in the game. To play as and especially play against. Everything about his power is sooo boring and stale. 🥱

i have to disagree about his power. It’s just the same thing at every loop; throw excessive bottles, survivor either pre drops, or they don’t and you get a hit. Repeat. Run bamboozle, throw bottles on windows, hit. Repeat. It’s sooo boring man.

I mean, that can kinda be said for most mate. Use power this way, hit, repeat.

True- but then again I find the concept of anti-loop powers very stale since the game offers very little variety in chase mechanics (for survivors).

That's not what this topic was getting at. Don't derail discussions with passive aggressive hyperbole. Anti-loop killers are, by and large, boring because looping is the only expression of skill survivors have.

I like the fact that it is decently strong in 1vs1.
I don't like that it is weak in 1vs4.

I enjoy playing as Clown, even if he isn't the strongest killer. He can do decently well though if you do manage to down survivors quickly, which is something he has the potential to do, because of his very strong anti-loop ability.
I do not really enjoy going against him however, because you fairly often feel a bit hopeless against him. That is not to say he has no counterplay, he does, but it is often not the most interesting, and can also be very loop and map dependent.

I would agree to the point that playing against Clown is pretty boring. I dont really like to play against Clown, even if he is one of the weaker Killers.
However, I think Clown is quite fun to play, especially with a Chase-orientated build, min-maxing his Chase Potential can make him really fun.

He's somewhat boring, but definitely more fun to face than, say, Trickster, right?
If Ji-Woon catches you in the open with no windows around, you're downed.. Kinda similar to Bubba's chainsaw, but with less counterplay and effectivity.. Although it could be argued that there's no counterplay to chainsaw besides windows and pallets, is there? Trying to make Bubba hit some objects isn't a valid counterplay, especially if the killer is a veteran and knows how to run around obstacles with his chainsaw without entering tantrums.
So, I do partly agree and partly disagree at the same time.

Playing against Clown is pretty meh. I love his aesthetic and his music though.
I really enjoy playing as him though. Leaning into his strong 1v1 with Save the Best for Last and Infectious Fright turns him into a snowball machine. Plus, love to show off my goth clown drip

Idk why but it always mildly infuriates me when a Clown follows me with a raised bottle and never releasing it.
It makes me feel like a feral cat.

Again with the passive-aggressiveness. Wesker is fun. Dredge is fun. Even Sadako is fun. You know what's not fun? Clown: Throw bottle, slow survivor, hit them, rinse & repeat. Do this at every pallet and loop. Artist: Place Crows down at loop. Survivor leaves loop. Hit survivor on their way to the next loop. Rinse and repeat.
You get the gist. So, no, not every killer is boring. Anti-loop as a concept is boring.

There are 2 ways to play clown
Go spray and pray like most people do and just throw bottle everywhere in hopes to get a hit eventually and yes playing like that is pretty boring
But then there are clowns that really try to understand their power and are able to shut down loops with a single well placed bottle
or throw bottles to the the survivor is heading instead of where they are cause they predict that the survivor is going to predrop and run
Or know where to hit a high place so their one bottle covers a much larger area
There is a surprisingly high skill ceiling to the clown that most people don't explore cause the payoff just isn't there.

Hes not the strongest but that doesn't matter, what matters is that you enjoy playing him. I love playing Doc but stopped because I got too focused on winning.
I started playing him again and remembered why I loved him

He is pretty boring. Imagine if he had as much love put into his kit as Pyramid Head or Wesker.... Now that'd be one scary clown. Some of the Killers are just extremely lackluster in comparison to others. Spirit for example is an upgraded version of Wraith in almost every way. Why play Wraith? And Trapper is well....Trapper..

Yeah that's very true. With lower tier killers you just have to accept that some matches are almost unwinnable. I do think Clown does have the potential to win even pretty bad match ups, but the odds of that are just extremely low.

most legion players stopped playing him ever since thana nerf cuz they counted on free slowdown rather than actually being skillful to make this killer work so thank god for that.

I’m not a fan of legion either. Won’t play them, even skip the challenges if I can. But I can at the very least loop a legion like normal. Clown just encourages predropping everything. It’s the constant visuals of the intoxication, constant screaming, and the constant hinderance that wears my nerves down quickly.
I do love his laugh and and what not. But nah, just can’t do it.
