The survivor aura part of kindred should be basekit

Perhaps also revealing the killer's aura if they stay within 16m of a hooked survivor for longer than 30 seconds. This way solo q survivors get some of the coordination that swf's get for free, and killers who don't camp won't have the direction they left the hook at given away.

And to make the kindred perk still seem appealing, hook notifications shouldn't block auras. Not sure why this change was made or if it's even intentional but half the time I don't see the killer's aura before they leave the hook, unless I wiggle my mouse to try and see around the notification.

    Absolutely.

I do think the Killer aura aspect should remain tied to the Perk itself, but the Survivor aura reveal should absolutely be basekit.

I agree that the killer's aura should probably stay tied to the perk. If they do end up adding it, only revealing their aura if they camp for x amount of time would be fair imo. But really it's the survivor aura aspect that'll benefit solo q the most.

Something else that would improve passive coordination between solo q survivors (without adding in-game comms/chat/pings) would be displaying survivors' perk icons under their usernames, highlighted when active, or at least showing each survivor's loadout in the pre-game lobby. Made a post about it a couple of days ago. It'd put an end to teammates rushing to unhook you when you have deliverance. Certain perks would not be highlighted when in use if they offer too much info or are pointless to the team. Having loadouts shown in the lobby would allow survivors to synergise and better anticipate plays... but most importantly, stack cakes/bps.

Maybe flip the effect a little.

Rather than show the Killer's aura within range of the hook, show the auras of any survivors within range of the hook.

From there, keep Kindred as-is, showing all survivors map wide and the Killer if they stay close.
