what is the point of weskers exit blocking ability?
when you slam a survivor into the exit it is temporairly blocked off. but what is the point of this? the time it is blocked is so short when you actually down someone from it (by slamming them and then m1) they can crawl out like normal. if you try to take out your tentacle again, they're able to run out by the time you actually charge it up

It's probably blocked off so that you can get a hit and not, you know, throw them out the exit gate (which I think would be hilarious, but it's beside the point !).
It's good that the time is short. If not, grabbing any healthy survivor in the gate would be a free hook/kill.

I mean fair play if you hit someone healthy with victor at the exit gate theres enough time to pick them up. Same with pin head. As much as I hate wesker, I feel like this should be a thing.

In my opinion the gate blocked from a hit shouldn't be a thing on any killer unless there is a perk for it, but I get how people can have different opinions about it :)

A fully infected survivor will be slammed against the blocker and you will then proceed to hook them.

Oh I agree it shouldn't be a thing at all, but if it is going to be a thing at least make it consistent right?

The reason Wesker blocks the exit gate with his power is that if he throws and downs a survivor against the exit gate, he has a chance to pick up and hook them. It is only supposed to be brief like Pinhead's exit block with his chains so that while it helps the killer get that last chance to get the survivor, it's not too long to make it a guaranteed pick up and hook.

Mainly it was to stop a bug where if Wesker slammed a survivor into the gate they would insta escape. But you can actually get the M1 after slamming them if they're not careful and you spam pick up.

I feel it should be a thing for EVERY killer hit tbh, like survivors can always try to escape at that point.

I'll meet you in the middle and say I could see it as a feature activating when the survivor has been standing within a few meters of the exit gate for 10 seconds, to punish teabagging at the gate.
Otherwise I think the most common situation would be the game denying a clutch escape (survivor being chased to the gate and escaping), which I think would not be fair.

There is only one scenario it matters and that is when you throw an injured survivor into the exit gate and they go down. In any other scenario it's either not going to matter as you would have picked them up anyway(survivor is injured and you slam, survivor is fully infected and you slam) or the other scenarios are too long(slamming a healthy survivor/throwing a healthy survivor you won't have enough time to bound again or m1 and pick them up before they're out). Heal tech also counters the one scenario if 2+ survivors are at the gate. It's an extremely niche/weak blocker.

im talking about when you do not grab them. when you hit a survivor against the exit it'll block it for a couple seconds.
