The game is in its most unplayable state ever for solo

And you will do nothing about it because it benefits you when people trick their friends into buying it so they can SWF and not have the time they've already put into it go to waste. Thank you for at least not pretending you have any plans to bridge the gap after 6 years of this nonsense.

I think some people like me expected the devs to eventually add the new game modes they promised years ago and never followed through with, if you've been here since day one and find the game boring I don't blame anyone for that this is a very rinse and repeat game, I wouldn't say it's rough for survivors or killers really they've just slowly taken things away from both sides to the point that it's a bit stale for me now and the main fact is I've got over 12,000 hours in the game I'm just ready for a new game to come out and I'm playing DBD while I wait, BHVRS new game coming out looks sick and I'm looking forward to the Texas chainsaw massacre as well it seems interesting

Yeah no, they could reverse the changes from the dash distance and you wouldn´t see a change in the camping&tunneling, because the reason is a different one.

Care to share some of those kill streaks? As far as i know, killer streamers stopped attempting them completely.

    Couldnt have said it better.

They need to buff solo to SWF level and then balance everything according to that.

To be honest, my Solo Q experience really isn't all that bad at all right now, I've been ejoying playing Survivor more than ever before *shrugs*

In my matches when im tunneled my teammates came take hit and go down in less than 10s and then killer just continues tunneling. Worst thing was that my teammate went down in pallet when I had still otr on and while I had to drop that pallet my character instead started healing I still wanted to save otr for later hit but now teammate helped killer to tunnel and gave him even free down.

Solo has always been rough and when you have new chapters from a big franchise like RE you get an influx of new potatoes to make solo even more miserable. I find solo more fun than it has been in years tbh... it is harder but then killers had it pretty rough until recently and now killer is a lot better I get games instantly at any time.

I actually like that the perk meta has been completely shaken up too, it motivates me to actually use perks I previously would have ignored due to the meta being so strong it made no sense to not run meta only.

BT basekit made it easier to get away. Especially when someone uses BT or you use OtR.

As a solo player, I cannot say we share the same experiences in this game.

Solo Q has - and will continue to be - a tough experience, because of various elements which include: unpredictability, lack of communication, less information, etc., yet I would not say it's unplayable.

There are both good and bad trials, but on the whole my survival rate has been steady, the matches have been mostly fair, and especially with BT changes the game feels arguably better than it has ever been since I started.

Using both BT and OTR is not productive since they dont stack. What usually happens is the killer will just hit you through BT and then catch you fast enough since because of nerfed speed boost from getting hit + STBL

Survivor is fine once you accept that all 4 shouldn't escape most of the time. It's a horror movie simulator.

It's a problem, extremely annoying one.

I don't understand how people can't comprehend this.

I don't agree with comments like the OP's so I did record my games from Ash IV to Iri IV. This September actually. Here you go.

While there are issues with solo queue hyperbole does nothing to solve said issues. Also, for some people, such as myself I'm having more fun in solo queue post 6.1 than pre 6.1.

Solo is on the same level as swf in regards to mechanics in-game, the only areas we fall short is comms info (which breaks several perks) and consistent teammate matchmaking.

The chase buffs were fine, except for the Bloodlust buff. If anything, they encourage killers to go for chases more, and not camp, I honestly have no idea how those changes were the reason killers would camp and tunnel more. It would be really dumb if the devs ever reverted those changes.

The problem with 6.1.0 was that there were no proper nerfs to camping and tunneling to accompany those killer buffs. And in fact, gen times being increased is the bigger problem there, because that's what actually buffed camping indirectly. However, the gen time increase was definitely a good thing, just not without further measures to reduce the effectiveness of camping and tunneling.

Basekit BT luckily did get a buff, which is great. But camping definitely still needs some fair nerfs, my suggestion would be to increase the hook phase duration from 60 to 70 seconds, and remove hook grabs.

You forgot two of the most important reasons:

    1. Survivor starts getting campedand tunneled early on, which is the least fun you could ever have in a video game
    2. Survivors have to go against something broken like a Starstruck Nurse with the most powerful addons and perks

Some survivors dc for the most ridiculous reasons, and it's sad. But there are also understandable reasons why survivors would give up early.

Aren't we worried about possible bodyblocking situations though? Dead Hard can easily be waited out, but what about a BT and Off the Record combo? I am not saying I am against this though, just curious. Can't really say if that would be a problem myself. Right now I do not mind the BT bodyblocking, because it does discourage the killer from going back to a unhooked survivor a bit. But with two extra health states, that could maybe become a problem in certain situations.

In general I would love if basekit BT had a seperate, unique Endurance effect though. Because right now, the only anti-tunneling perk that can stack with basekit BT is DS, and that perk is sadly not that great at the moment.

Not wrong uninstalling was the best thing I ever did after 1500h, even with friends instead of solo Q I'm not having fun anymore it's over tbh, 6.1 killed the game

Yeah the killer was toxic to you, so you should be toxic to your team and ruin their game. Makes perfect sense!

Either make 2 separate game modes for Killers who want to go up against that SWF bull #########...

    OR

Just FORCE SWF to play in Custom.... Problem Solved...

Then they'd have to bring one of their own friends to kick around in Custom Game wouldn't they?

No amount of BHVR holding can stop people from trying to die.

When randos fundamentally see the game as "me vs the killer" it's just impossible to fix the attitude issues that that mentality creates

Like, sure we needstuff like an action indicator for solo q but that wont solve the real issue of solo q which is OTHER SURVIVORS

I'm honestly having a blast. There's still a hole in my heart where Iron Will used to be, but I've been having a ton of fun with new perks such as NOLB, Guardian and the new new new new BT.

Heck, Blast Mine+Wiretap+Haddie perk has been a ton of fun. I got spotted placing a Blinding Blast Mine and got slapped on the hook for it.

Dbd is still Dbd at the end of the day but I don't think it's worse off than it was prior to the Attack on Titan update

Don't agree, as I've said in another thread the STBFL hook camping situation + how it effects chases and is enabled by the endurance meta is a huge issue. Removing hook grabs doesn't fix this at all until it's addressed. They either need to nerf all the perks associated with the chase buffs, or revert the changes.

I stopped at "people trick their friends into buying it".

Because you know, if a friend recomended you DbD, they definitively aren't recomending you a game they like and they would think would be cool to play with their friends, they are "tricking" you to buy a game only to benefit themselves, those greedy evil doers!

Honestly, some people in this community need to grow up and pay atention to how ridiculous some of their claims are.

Oh cool so I can use all these anti-tunnel effects combined with each other to be even more resistant to tunneling right? Wait BT is 10s endurance and you can't benefit from endurance while deep wounded. So I can't use basekit (or perk bonus) BT and OTR against a tunneling Killer in concert? I can't even have DS since it was nerfed into oblivion against anyone with a Killer power. OTR is a new perk with these amazing effects, it didn't have Aura and Grunts of pain prevention before the patch, oh wait, it did, they only added the endurance, which as mentioned can only happen once. Heck, even DH now uses endurance so there isn't any real good anti-tunnel exhaustion effects at all.

Anti-camping perk - They hard gutted Reassurance from the PTB since it can't be reapplied so you can't have someone co-op camp with the Killer permanently Reassuring the person on hook. Heck, most of the time you can't even get real value from the perk against facecamping since it takes more than 30s to reach the hook and back to progress a gen. Arguably you could take the 30 bonus seconds and give that to your 2 fellow unhooked survs for gen progress, but more than likely they need to confirm the camp themselves AND not go for a rescue against the facecamp for that to even give you the value.

Perma self-pickups - That is still in PTB, so we don't know how exactly the real version will turn out yet. Even then people have been throwing fits claiming slugging is impossible now, acting like their spacebar is broken and hooking Survs provides no value. Heck you can still snowball with Oni since his power lasts 45s, losing 7s per down, for a total of 24s of in power time. That gives snowball Oni downs 21s to pick up the first Surv, and then can hook the remaining 2 in order of downs (assuming max downs without the auto-win feature activating). Overall though it is good fixing 4 minute bleedouts.

This isn't even limited to Survs. Boons should have been optionally smashable basekit, not only with a perk and forced. Similarly proper counters to facecamping and hard tunneling off of hook should be basekit, not perk gated. The perk versions should be for the middle-ground cases like proxy-camping and toggle tunneling, toggle tunneling being only hooking Survivors in 1,2,1,2,1,2,3,4 sequence.

    This 100%.

It really damages the image/legitimacy of survivor complaints when people are so used to them being BMing entitled brats throwing around double standards all the time. Not to mention ganging up on the killer in-game chat because there's 4 of them and 1 of the other, so the killer is never right.

    Hence the "Survivor rulebook" meme.

Very much "boy who cried wolf", or I guess "survivor who cried toxic", situation.

Not saying there's not valid complaints, but when you have things like "me doing my objective efficiently is fine, you doing yours isn't" attitudes in the majority we're not going to get far.
