I am so fed up with the disparity between playing Killer and SoloQ
Seriously, what is going on. When I play Survivor solo, I get potatoes who don't do gens. When I am Killer I get heavily coordinated Survivors who are always doing gens if I am not chasing them.
The question is. When I play Killer why do I not go against the potatoes I am teamed with as Survivor?

You keep "losing" because you keep being paired up with bad teammates. When escaping 100% is a team effort. No matter how good you are if your team cant play right you will lose. Thus giving you more potatoes. Low MMR hell. Luckily the devs have a fix down the pipeline for it.
You keep getting better teams when you play killer because winning is more in your hands. So If you are even remotely good at killer eventually you will reach top mmr and face the sweat squads. It makes the game kind of unfun but once you understand the bs its easier to not get so mad about it.
Its up to the devs to fix it. My suggestion is to make your effort on the team count towards survivors "winning" and raise the soft cap on mmr

Because MMR is easier to gain as killer than survivor.
With survivor, when you get awful teammates, your chance of escaping is quite low, which means you decrease your MMR, which means you get paired with even worse people. Rinse and repeat. I feels if SBMM was really under-looked by BHVR, there are so many loopholes you can abuse and so many awful things with it.

I've played maybe 10 Killer games over the past 6 months. Every single time I go against skilled Survivors and get at absolute best a 2K, usually 1 or 0K. No way that is increasingly my MMR.

I mean the conditions involved with gaining MMR. Killing survivors is typically easier than escaping as Survivor. Combine that with the fact that Killers is entirely solo dependent while Survivor is more team dependent, then yea, Killer is typically easier when it comes to gaining MMR.

Because mmr sucks ass. Building mmr as killer is easy af. You'll get 4ks every game against solo q teams who don't have at least 2/3 damn good players. Your mmr will sky rocket and it'll take more than 10 bad games to drop it.
As surv you have to not only escape but also smash out altruistic and bold actions to perform well. Consistently raising your surv mmr is insanely hard particularly if you play solo q because potato team mates will negatively affect your mmr and it's really outside your control. Killers tunneling that cut your game short will also tank your surv mmr.
I'm in a similar situation atm, my surv games in solo q are awful i only perform well with my swf group. Where as my killer games I'm seeing super sweaty teams with 30-90 days play time each, when i have 9 days playtime.

This is the only game I have play where I agree low elo hell exists. Unless you are god, nothing you do can make up for 3 players being non existent. Survivor in low elo is impossible alone, I genuinely recommend you find people via reddit or discord something to help get you out.

If the survivors have higher MMR scores, a 2K could be increasing your MMR. BHVR said if your survivor opponents have a higher MMR score than you, that you gain more MMR points for a kill, and lose less points for an escape.

You probably have a high-ish MMR on killer and a low MMR on survivor.
What fix...where?
There is no such thing as 'low MMR hell'. Unless the SBMM system breaks down (lobby dodges cause this to happen), you should be getting an opponent that you have a 50% chance of escaping against.

Your first mistake was playing solo queue. Your second mistake was giggling your way through easy 4K matches against weak solo queue survivors and believing that spoke to your skill as a killer.

In the comment you responded to I gave an example of low mmr hell. You not understand what im saying or disagree?

Elo hell is real its where a good portion of survivors just dc after their first hook. Good luck surviving in that situation.

I was curious about the acknowledgement and 'fix coming down the pipeline' for this issue. Where did you get that from?
That seems to be most areas now. I see it just as much on Otz's streams as I do at my own likely intermediate MMR.
Even if this were true, you'd hit a point where killers are bottom MMR too.

What is the fix down the pipeline you were talking about?
0 -
It was a stream earlier this year where they said they were going to integrate how much you contribute to the team into considering the impact on your mmr. So if you carry the whole match and die on first hook saving the team it wouldn't be strictly considered a loss as it is now. Sorry i dont remember which stream but I think it was around the big patch where they reworked a bunch of perks.
This fix would prevent bad teams from holding your mmr down since escaping is a team effort. It would also incentivize more altruistic plays in the endgame.

Looked over the recent streams from this year.
Nothing like this in sight.
What, specifically are you talking about?
A timestamp would be helpful.
NOTE: I'm specifically talking about the 'MMR hell' you claimed they acknowledged and declared were fixing.

If this is true they truly ruined the game with MMR. Not only do you get the bad teammates but you also get the bad killers who can only get kills via tunneling and camping. I quit playing when MMR came out knowing it was the stupidest thing they could have done, just came back recently, probably time to quit again.

Oh ok thank you!

What part of i dont remember are you confused about? That places us on even footing. If you want to find it then go look for it. I heard what I heard but it was awhile ago so I dont remember where it was from. Dont want to take my word for it? Dont. I dont care. Dont believe me? also dont care. Im not trying to convince you of anything. For all we know they backpedaled on it like they do with a bunch of the stuff they talk about. I hope they are working on it still.

I might be wrong but I think they mentioned what you said when they revealed the results of the MMR test days

If you're playing solo you get always mixed with other survivor teams or randoms. If you're playing killer you get the full squads, which you can't join in solo.

Okay, but who are the Killers who get to play against the potato squads I get teamed with?
0 -
Thats me, hi.

What's it like to play Killer and not have 2 gens pop by the time you get your first down?
0 -
So does the MMR really go down when you lose matches? As killer, I was getting beat up last night, and it sure didn't seem like the matches were getting any easier.

A feeling of relief!

Are you sure you're not thinking of the MMR testing and the changes after that? Because those happened a while back.

This explains a LOT, especially about the killer experience. It seems to be a limit of about five good matches with any given killer before they get put into the All-SWF All The Time Stop Having Fun Jail.
