can we nerf pallets a bit?
read the the whole thing before commenting like the giant brick wall you are, ty
the whole map was like this, up to 4 pallets in a row, and into a impossible loops, the fact that i got motion sick because of such much spinning to hide my red light is really not ok, this is not fun this is torture
and why are we even locking the game in 4 maps rotation to begin with, and only this map for some reason, because next game i tried to play dredge and got destroyed because so many pallets, so i can't even learn a killer, awesome.
and yes they aren't god pallets but these guys were SWF so u could see how hard it made it
yes they were friends on steam, since there will always be that one person, HoW Do yOu tHeY aRe SWF?
edit : even tho its obvious im talking about the chaining not the actual pallets, pallets are fine, the chaining is not, the SS is an example

If you are somehow letting someone chain THAT pallet into a jungle gym, you aren't playing very well. The treads next to it are like 2 metres long in total. A survivor using that pallet is pretty much a guaranteed hit.

i said the whole damn map was like this, i only took a screenshot of this because i had time

With the most recent updates being as one sided as they were, I really don't see any reason to nerf pallets with the exception of some specific maps being reworked. I really don't want to sound rude but it might have literally just been a you issue, everyone has bad matches as killer every now and again, but the general consensus among the community now is that killer really isn't anywhere near as difficult as it was a mere few months ago.

Perk Build For pallets:
Hex: Blood Favour
Enduring
Dissolution
Spirit Fury
SHRED PALLETS YUMMY.
And don't be scared to be stunned by a pallet, if you cant mindgame just get stunned and remove that pallet from game.

i think its just bad rng with this map, i never had that amount of chained pallets in a game before i mean i still got a 4k but holy hell i came out of that game so stressed i insta alt f4
1 -
Your best bet here is to try and bait a pallet drop in the middle of the 'chain', break it up with a weak loop in the middle.
0 -
yes i did run that build before its fun but you know, you never know when the rng might screw you up and honestly i would have ran that but these guys had 2 busted medkits and 2 busted flashlights so i had to go with that build
0 -
tbh this one (screenshot) wasn't that bad since i could catch someone in the first pallet, but some others were just impossible, and these guys were smart as well saving the god pallets, it was just hellish

2 gens left, 7 stages, 1 dead
Nyoooooo please nerf pallets more, the most useless pallet in the map chains into a jungle gym
18 -
Plus pig isnt a strong killer in general
0 -
I WAS STRESSED TO HELL TO WIN THAT GAME THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
im trying to have fun here not die of stress
5 -
i main sadako, pig compared to her is an S+ lol
1 -
And survivors try to win without having to be stressed as hell too
Your point?
18 -
they were SWF, usually my games are calm and since when was survivor stressful ?
its 4 people and unless your teammates are trolls its usually pretty chill, unless its a nurse.....
4 -
There's really no point arguing with you, we know your thread history
Get good
14 -
alright kiddo, you aren't even making good points, have a good one.
1 -
I'm not making 'good points' because you're asking for a nerf because you can't handle the fact that to consistently win you need to put effort into it
If you want to play for fun, accept that you will lose, especially against survivors that want to win. If you want to win, then try hard. You can't have it both ways.
Oh, you want to win while chilling? Get good
16 -
sure, add windows instead
1 -
hey guys he spams get good at every single comment, HE IS GOOD OMG, kid seriously.....get original, and when i said nerf i meant the chained ones, you know just a bit of thinking you would have understood it, but what am i expecting from someone who spams get good lol
and yes people do win while chilling sure if 2 go out its not bad when u find yourself suddenly tryharding even tho u don't want is something else but i don't think u can understand it, because every single one of your comments is just get good...lame/ skill issue
which is just lame
2 -
The problem with those pallets is that they are immensely weak when the survivor has to loop them but they are pretty much god like when it comes to maintaining distance (once they are dropped). Imagine the whole map plastered with strong tiles and this kind of pallet everywhere between them. That get's kinda gross especially for weaker killers. It get's to a point where you have to go and break pallets every few seconds instead of chasing.
0 -
I will say your stance of "I won but had to stress for it, can we make it so I can win without stressing" doesn't lend itself to the most compelling argument.
17 -
im saying it because i won so many times without stressing or with joke builds but sometimes it gets really hot...

In general the stealth killers, including Pig, are stronger than normal against average MMR players. At higher MMR the survivors have strong observational skills so Undetectability becomes less effective. That’s why Pig and the other stealth killers typically do ok in the overall kill rate stats but supposedly do worse in the higher brackets with fewer players.
So basically Pig is actually strong in most matches, just not at the high end.
1 -
that's what im saying that screenshot was just an example but when u have that chain around everywhere its really annoying
0 -
superior anatomy to the rescue

Another example that you really struggle as Killer. If you have problems with Ironworks, which is one of the most balanced Maps in DBD, I dont really know what should help you.
And you are not even doing bad in this game, you probably won this one with a 4K. It cannot be easy enough for you, eh? At least you used the buzzword "SWF", because as we all know, playing in an SWF makes the weak Pallet next to the Main Build a God Pallet.
9 -
But isn't that only natural? When the other side plays better you should lose, shouldn't you? When that happens you can decide to either concentrate and give it your all or keep it casual and risk losing.
3 -
well unlucky me cuz my MMR on her is high and its not worth using her stealth unless you are using amanda's letter
0 -
well yea that makes sense but when they win because of map rng, that's not a win that's bs, if they do really good and win then great job, ggwp
even if im tryharding i sometimes lose if survivor do good and that's fine because they did amazing
0 -
On a tangent my favorite Pig build is Amanda’s Letter for the auras while crouching plus the brown add-on that increases your crouched movement speed. 🙂
1 -
it is balance.....until u get 4 pallets chained and i yes i did 4K and quit from stress, and im not saying it should be easy but if the survivor lilke loop me good or something that is fine they earned it but to auto win chases from map rng its not the BEST feeling
and what does SWF have do with pallets i said SWF meaning they make the game even harder, and again the ss was just an example the whole map was like this
0 -
or use combat Straps to instantly check for survivors quickly
0 -
Exactly, SWF has nothing to do with your topic. So dont use your buzzwords.
I mean, auto-win chases for the Survivors and you still got a 4K? So either they were not auto-win chases or you are a literal god at the game.
8 -
I like her Stealth actually which is why I prefer the bonus movement speed while crouched. Yeah you move more slowly but you can make up the time difference by getting closer to the survivors before the chase starts.
2 -
omg....what kinda of word is stress to you exactly, i won yes, at one gen yes, WHILE MY HEART WAS ALMOST OUT OF MY CHEST
and i won because the game went for like 40 mins so most pallets were gone and i was pressuring the gens like hell, with thrilling and kicking
just because you win a game doesn't mean u get out happy, you either get out confused why that dwight dc at 5 gens, stressed to hell from all the bs that was thrown at you or get insulted 400 times because u did good
and i feel like u are defending SWF which in case if u are im just gonna ignore you, because if you tell me SWF is not broken, then i got nothing to say
0 -
in closed maps its really good, tbh all stealth killers in closed maps are amazing, but in open maps they are very useless
and tbh they should really make her speed just normal, i mean ghost face can go all spooky mode and doesn't lose any speed so why piggy :<
1 -
That’s such weird map generation, where was the shack?
0 -
behind me on the far side left, in kinda of a dead zone
0 -
RNG cuts both ways. I don't think it is a call for nerfing pallets.
3 -
If DBD affects you this much, maybe it's time to switch to a different game. I hear Stardew Valley is quite relaxing. The Sims can also be pretty stress-free most of the time. I like to switch to that when I want something a little less frustrating.
4 -
So it's literally just map RNG. Dead zones in one area, more pallets in another. Like others have mentioned, rinse through the ones in abundance early in the game and create more dead zones. But then again you don't need advice considered you 4k'd. You just want winning to be easier.
3 -
i do barely play dbd anymore but still to like play for 5 hours and get the stress of 3 years is just not ok
and im not saying i always get stressed its just random, sometimes i have fun sometimes i go friendly, and sometimes i find someone with a choking kink while playing wesker im sacred of those survivors
0 -
i can win easier by playing nurse, or just playing with 600 gen regression perks, but i don't, i am the type of player that wants to have a balance in my games, not too hard not too easy, but when the map is bad rng every time that starts to get a little frustrating
0 -
Kinda ironic how you say impossible loops while the loop you show is a 99% GUARANTEED hit. I think(know) you are not telling the truth about that the whole map was like this, It just wasnt (and you know this well enough that youre overreacting). I also assume you get upset and feel like survivors are OP when you lose 1 game right after you 4k'd a few games in a row. The balance has already completely shifted to killers, which SOMEHOW is an actual dev design decision.
Asking to nerf pallets at this stage of the game is just mind blowing. pallet nerfs wont happen since the dammage of patch 6.1 is starting to show in the player numbers, and it will only get worse when the devs realize that the player dropouts are permanant dropouts instead of people taking breaks.
They took away all fun things from survivors, now even changing flashlights by adding a cooldown which is LITTERALY an anti-QOL update.
On the other hand i maybe wont be that suprised when a pallet nerf comes. To me it seems obvious that for a while now some1 is calling the shots at bhvr (gameplay wise) that has no idea of what he/she/it... is doing with the game, yet convinced upper management the opposite (note that this is speculation).
1 -
I don't think "nerf pallets" is the title you wanted. Shouldn't it be "balance map RNG"?
1 -
the first pallet in screenshot is unsafe pallet. you can mindgame the slide from the survivor. it needs no changing. the jungle gym pallet behind it is safe pallet. It is god pallet, you need break it when its dropped. pig has no counterplay to it. that pallet does need nerfs but who knows when bvhr will balance maps for killers.
One aspect that I have always pondered is the idea of map generation by killer. for example, if the killer is weak chasing killer like wraith-pig level, the safe version of jungle gym(that version) can never spawn for these killers. only unsafe tiles can spawn for them like T-L wall.
If the killer is a high-tier anti-loop killer, then all loops spawn as safe jungle gym-type tiles with very long pallets.
So most of the time, survivors would be playing the unsafe version of the map because like 80% of killer are incompetent to play on classic dbd loops while 20% of the time, they would get safe version of the map, e.g if you play vs nurse & blight, you would always get strongest possible version of the map.
its just an idea. point system on maps based off killer power.

I don't think Ironworks is a map you can really consider as "balanced". Some killers can deal with it no matter what (like Nurse and Blight) but there can spawn atrocious combinations of tiles with filler pallets everywhere connecting to the main building. And then there is that totem on second floor of main building. Set up a boon there and watch the killer mald. The point is that it hurts killers without both map mobility and chasing powers.

Think through the map and get better at chasing survivors.
Once the pallets are dropped and broken, the survivor has permanently lost that area to call safe. The first couple chases should break a good amount of pallets which allow you the opportunity to get them mid or late game much easier.
If they are running from pallet to pallet, the survivor has learned the map well and knows which areas to run to in order to find a pallet. The counter play is to know the maps yourself, and break pallets in a series of short chases with different survivors, moving them off gens, so you gain a bit of advantage back. this will remove pallets from the game, move the survivors off gens, and allow you some gen regression. Once you have an area without pallets...any chases in that area are much easier.

that pallet is doo doo water, if they drop it, just go around it so they don't reach the jungle gym lol. What does suck are jungle gyms connecting into other jungle gyms, especially the realms on macmillan estate. God awful.

Honestly I don't have too much trouble with stealth on the outdoor maps, I've won games with Scratched Mirror Meyers on a lot of different maps for instance. The main trick is trying to be really aware of using obstacles to block line of sight on approaches. In fact Pig's particularly good at it since she has such a low profile that things like grass and shorter obstacles hide her where a taller character like Michael might get spotted. So yeah, indoor maps are the best, but if you're careful outdoor maps still work ok. 🙂
As far as Ghost Face versus Pig goes, don't forget that Ghost Face's stealth can be broken by survivors but Pig's lasts as long as she stays crouched. Also Ghost Face moves normal speed while standing but if he crouches he's more like Pig's speed I think.
