At least there were changes....
Sadako and Freddy received a big ............... by the devs once again. And Twins? Ah who cares, we have Wesker.

Because they were testing the Mori-System and all the stuff around it. They cannot test this AND make a huge pile of content in the same Midchapter.
And it is good that this Midchapter is small, because this means that they were able to test the Finishing Mori, even if it will not be implemented in this Midchapter. This means that it might be changed. If it would have come with this Midchapter, there would be more content, but we would also have known that they will not change it since rarely things change from PTB to Live.

no one asked for this finisher crap. It destroys 3 offerings by default, the possibillity to counter DS and Pallet-Saves midgame etc.

It's not like this is a surprise. The only thing different from the PTB (excluding the Finishing Mori and basekit Unbreakable the devs were clear wouldn't be here) if the Hag having new music, and I honestly wonder if it was there and no one noticed because they never played Hag.

They spent all their dev bandwidth on stuff that nobody asked for instead of doing common sense perk and killer buffs. Super disappointed.

This wasnt my point.
They wanted to test it. And I would rather have a Midchapter with less content but the chance of them scrapping or reworking their version of it than a Midchapter with the Finishing Mori which will 100% come.

I'm kind of hyped for the flashlight changes and multiple challenge selection. Small changes that make the game more enjoyable for me.

I mean, we do get some nice quality of life stuff. People are always saying BHVR should take the time to fix issues rather than push for content endlessly.
Also, always nice to see Hag get some love.

They added a cooldown to flashlights (which I personally don't like, but can't do anything about it since it's for accessibility)
They presumably fixed the problem with hooked-survivor-bubbles that prevented people from using Kindred efficiently.
They reduced the maximum time of a game to help prevent hostage situations from cheaters.
They made having two challenges possibles, which was not an "issue" exactly, but was very much asked for.
They presumably fixed the issue of incentives not being given at the end of the trials under some conditions.
And a lot of smaller bugs, can't list them all.
I think it's already nice :)

There has also been a lot of people that wanted a quicker way to get through the BW. They could have at least added that like they did the archive challenge selecting.

The "No-one asked for this." argument is a really poor one. That your input wasn't taken into account is not the litmus test on whether or not the patch has value.
The devs and who they answer to have agency over the game, as it rightfully should be. We've seen some of the changes this community calls for.

Still better than artist midchapter with all those terrible add-on changes for nemesis, clown and twins. Going mostly neutral with a small win for the hag music is still better than posting big Ls.

game time is now 1 hour or 5 minutes after EGC starts. To prevent hackers from holding the game hostage.
