Doctor Skill Check Denial Build
Been messing around with This build and it has been hilarious hearing all the missed skill checks. Perks below, thoughts?
Overcharge: You are fueled by your hate for progress.
Overcharge a Generator by performing the Damage Generator on it:
- The next Survivor interacting with that Generator is faced with a difficult Skill Check.
- Failing the Skill Check results in an immediate Progression loss of 3/4/5 %.
- Succeeding the Skill Check grants no bonus Progression, but prevents the Generator from exploding.
After Overcharge is applied to a Generator, the following effect applies:
- Increases the Regression speed from 75 % to 200 % over the next 30 seconds.
Hex: The Third Seal
A Hex that hinders the Survivors' Aura-reading abilities.
The last 2/3/4 Survivors hit with either your Basic Attack or Special Attack suffer from the Blindness Status Effect.
The Hex effects persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed.
Merciless Storm:
- Whenever a Generator is repaired to 90 %, Survivors repairing it are faced with continuous Skill Checks.
- If they miss one or stop repairing, the Generator becomes blocked for 16/18/20 seconds.
Merciless Storm can only trigger once per Generator per Trial.
Hex: Huntresses Lullaby
Survivors recieve a 2/4/6 % Regression penalty on Failed Skill Checks for Repair and Healing actions.
Hex: Huntress Lullaby grows in power each time you Hook a Survivor, gaining 1 Token, and affecting Repair and Healing Skill Checks:
- 1 Token: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -14 %.
- 2 Tokens: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -28 %.
- 3 Tokens: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -42 %.
- 4 Tokens: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -56 %.
- 5 Tokens: disables the Warning sound.

Every time I get a skill check doctor I get tunneled out I'm so annoyed. They literally turn gens into a fun challenge then deny me the opportunity to prove my worth.
I keep getting on the hook, a friend says "merciless storm" and I find myself wishing "doctor! Stop camping please I want to prove I can do this! I didn't spend hundreds of hours on rhythm games to be treated this way!"
It's the worst kind of edging.

I just love the sound of failed skill checks, brings a tear to my eye really. Is there any way to make this better or do you think I have it already?

You could consider swapping Merciless Storm/Third Seal for Coul if you want to make healing skillchecks also extremely awful.

ooh, thats dirty

Just a heads-up: Lullaby is broken at the moment, it doesn't reduce the time between skill check sounds and the actual skill check.

Why third seal?
0 -
stops them from finding my totems
0 -
It doesn't really. It will only do something if they have a map or certain perks (which nobody runs these days). On top of that they can just spawn on top of your totem, and third seal gives them an incentive to actually go and look for it because it may mess with their perks and ability to see hooked teammates.

Can you explain a bit more in-depth? I don't get it.
I've played against Lullaby and it seemed to be working well? And even managed to reach 5 tokens which worked the same way it is described.

A known bug in the 6.3.0 patch notes states that the change in timing of skill checks for Lullaby does not occur.
The penalty does occur, but the bug does not change the timing of the warning sound before the skill check even if the token is saved.

Yep, you explained it perfectly.

Bro why is hex the third seal in your build replace it with unerving presence
2 -
Is that really the flavor text for overcharge? That doesn't make any sense for doctor at all.
My take on this build is that it's tired and just doesn't work after a certain MMR. Totems are gone after the first twenty seconds of the match. Merciless does little even when it does proc and good survivors simply don't miss skill checks.
Overall it's a good build for making new players come on the forums and whine about it. Doesn't do anything to seasoned ones.

My favourite part about Coulrophobia is that it makes survivors extremely predictable; If somebody needs to die asap, you have a good idea where to look. Then the 50% slowdown kicks in to stop the last bit of progress.

I ended up going thanatophobia instead of third seal, seems to be doing work
0 -
Surprised you're using 3rd seal, doesn't fit the build. I'd run unnerving presence personally.

Havent prestiged trapper yet, went with thano instead
0 -
Ah fair dos. Or maybe eruption if you've prestiged nemisis? That'd be an amazing perk for the build.

I suppose I'll get to a point where people are more skilled, but as it stands, this wins me games so hard right now.

Don't forget the Trapper's Unnerving Presence. Could make a substitute for Third Seal.
Third Seal only stops people finding Totems of they're using a map or something like Detective's Hunch or Counterforce.

My thoughts: Oooofff!

I would swap out Hex: The Third Seal for Unnerving Pressence or Hex: Undying. While it's quite good aginst solo queue, Hex: The Third Seal is quite useless against SwF.
