Eruption the perks of are crazy

Rituals with killers equipped with this perk are impossible to escape in SoloQ.

We can't see when our allies go down.

So there is almost no SoloQ meta for this perk.

Being unable to do anything for 35 seconds with a single activation is extremely stressful, meaningless time passes.

Killers can also use this powerful perk on multiple generators by simply attacking the generators and chasing survivors.

Limits the number of generators triggered by irapushon's effect.

Or the time to be incapacitated is shortened

Or limit the number of times it can be used in one ritual, etc.

need some fix

I think the concept of being incapacitated by infection is great, but I think it's a perk that definitely needs a rework.

What do you think, guys?

I think you are talking about Eruption perk.

Yes, I would decrease the effect where you can't do anything productive at all but I would increase the gen regression.

Or how about those gens can't be worked on or just not able to work on gens but do everything else? We don't need eruption then pain res doing like 50% regression.

Yeah I would change eruption to apply incapciated for 12 seconds to anyone in a 6 meter radius of an affected gen but increase the regression amount by 2 or 5%

My fear is that the developer will consider the chapter with this perk to be a success story and will not touch on the chapter content.

The way I see it, Eruption is the old NOED of gen regression, in that most people who run it will quickly get carried to an MMR where it doesn't do anything (and if you're regularly facing good killers who also run a full gen kicking build you're probably at or near the soft cap in which case just get in a SWF for your own sanity). In a SWF the obvious counterplay is to just call out when you're going down, but there are a few things you can do in Solo Queue if you know it's in play:

    • If you're being chased, play very safe until you can guarantee that all the gens that were being worked on that might have had eruption were popped (e.g. If you're being chased and someone just got saved off hook, only one gen was being worked on. If the entire team just did a full reset and everyone got on a separate gen then three gens will need to be popped before the next down to counter eruption)
    • If you're doing gens, work in pairs. Two man the gen until it's 50%-75% done then let go and wait at the gen (if you have perks like Self Care, Built to Last, or boon perks might as well use the time to use those). If it gets hit with Eruption, immediately get on it and finish the gen

Because when they said they changed the meta they only meant for killers whilst outright just removing the survivor one. Killer sided game = Killer sided perks.

I think Eruption should only be active on a single gen at a time and have a timer that starts on the kick. You shouldn't be able to kick two gens, down a survivor 70 seconds later, and get 10% regression+25 seconds Incapacitated on two gens.
