BHVR have to spoil Feng Mains
Everyone gets mad that feng always gets a new skin every chapter but it’s understandable why she does. Feng is probably the most played survivor and she’s a gamer. So BHVR have to capitalize off it. I know that there’s other survivors like Elodie, Jeff, and Adam that barley gets cosmetics, but BHVR have to use their time wisely and make cosmetics for whoever they can get the most value out of.

It's also because Feng Min has WAY more potential for great skins. You can do anything with Feng. Cosplays, gamer gear, streaming gear, casual clothes, uniforms, the lot. What can you do with Jeff? Different leather jackets? Lol. Plus Feng is way more popular so there's that.
10 -
Who else will create realms if she dies denying Feng's demand?
24 -
And because she just has so much potential she hasn't gotten a Tome about her with an outfit to boot yet.
Also, did you forget Jeff is an artist, too? Do you know how much creativity you can get out of outfits when the only thing you're limited by is "artist"? Yet BHVR seems to have forgotten that and have just slapped on the "metal fan, leather jacket" label.
15 -
Why do uniforms fit Feng though?
and why wouldn’t casual clothes fit.. almost everyone including Jeff? He could also get some more artsy clothes

Feng chads stay winning.

Feng, Felix, Meg, Dwight and (maybe) Mikaela all need to stop getting new cosmetics every 3 months. There are 21 original Survivors. Yun-Jin Lee's potential is endless, considering how many outfits you could give her as part of a what-if scenario where she makes it as an idol. Elodie could have so many detective outfits. Adam can get different clothing based on different school trips, or even outfits from times outside of Japan, etc.

The originals are usually the most common and played survivors. They also mostly have more outfits than Feng. I believe they showed stats and Feng was third. Claudette was first

*Sad Jake noises*

still funny

The ironic thing is if someone gets cosplay Feng they're most likely not a gamer.
1 -
Yes more cosmetics for Kate 😀
1 -
I honestly don’t care that Feng gets outfits, I just wish they would get as fun outfits as she does.
2 -
Yun-Jin needs more cosmetics, she has a lot of potential
There's a ton of good cosmetic ideas for Yun-Jin

Our demands are simple. More cosplay outfits for the other characters, and give Dwight a Pizza Slice costume.
2 -
Are you drawing those?

There’s a lot of untapped potential for Jeff skins. Hell his first skin is one of the most creative in the game (Black metal)
Feng’s cosmetics have expanded on her characterisation over time such as making her a cosplayer/streamer. Jeff’s have only limited his (except for his mad max one)
0 -
Feng’s cosmetics are well made in the sense that they expanded on her minimal character. She’s now a streamer and cosplayer alongside a competitive gamer
This doesn’t happen with characters like Adam who are just “Trendy cloths” or Jeff who is just “let her jacket and jeans”
2 -
Yes, I drew alot of these.

Admittedly yeah I don't know why they haven't done a tome for her yet. But hey, they seem to have reworked how tomes work with the new Halloween ghostface tome. Maybe they'll do one now, and put lots of upgraded Feng skins in the Deep Rift?

The problem is this creates and fullfills the prophecy (you know, self fulfilling prophecy). By making her have the most cosmetics, they are also making her the most played which justifies giving her the most cosmetics.
If all of the survivors had as many cosmetics as Feng, the number of Feng mains would be much less, and they would definitely make more money.
Then again, if they hadn't turned in game Kate into a monster it might have made an impact on this as well.
As the camera rotates you also see that her lips are like duck bills. This is in game, right now, on almost all of Kate's cosmetics.
Feng has very little competition.
3 -
It's a positive feedback loop. The more cosmetics she gets, the more she's played, the more cosmetics she gets.
Please for the love of the entity invest in some other characters guys. I can't handle hearing Feng's scream any more, it's giving me PTSD.
3 -
Claudette, Dwight and Meg also get cosmetics very frequently but people only complain about Feng.
3 -
I swear to God if she gets one more cosmetics I'm leading a movement to boycott the cosmetics design team.
Like seriously I don't know if they are just lazy or they are out of ideas for other characters but it's getting pretty annoying seeing hee get something every time.
2 -
That's an odd first place (though Claudette does beat out Feng by 5 cosmetic pieces).
3 -
At least they have a bit of an excuse they have been in the game the longest.
1 -
Do are they just too lazy to expand on other characters? This just seems like a bad excuse not to do anyone else

Feng was released only 11 months after the release of the game, and I'm not sure but I think Claudette and Meg have more cosmetics than her.
0 -
To be fair, those three are launch characters, it's reasonable to expect them to have more cosmetics!
Feng Min was post-launch DLC and has significantly more cosmetics than any DLC character who came before and after her. It's not unreasonable for people to complain about her, especially since she's been getting cosmetics constantly over the past year.
She's one of my favorite survivors to play but even I feel like they're kind of overkilling it with the sheer volume of cosmetics she's been receiving.
3 -
They should definitely use cosmetics as a way to expands on a characters traits and personality.
Characters like Jonah and Haddie could really use this imo since their personality feels very 1 note
3 -
Jeff's Amazon Moth mantle outfit doesn't scream metal fan, though, and is pretty creative and fashionable.
1 -
I'm still not over the 2nd RE chapter honestly
4 -
I actually think Haddie has great lore and a lot of potential, as do many others (Yun-Jin, Jeff, Adam, Elodie, and Yui come immediately to mind as being criminally underserved in the cosmetics department). Heck, Jonah just recently got what I would consider to be his first good outfit, almost a year after his release.
It's a subject I 've weighed in on a lot, and I get that it's more profitable for BHVR to make cosmetics for he most played characters, but it's a totally self-propagating thing, as many of the characters are the most played because they have so many customization options.
When they release a character with 1,2, or maybe 3 skins and then ignore them for 8-12 months, you may as well have not released them at all.
I'm not saying to stop making skins for Feng, Kate, Dwight, etc., but it'll be okay if they focus on other characters for a while. And at least give each new character a decent selection at launch, and not just recolors.

I do find it strange that a character with a paragraph of a lore to their name for 5 years is carried only by their looks and cosmetics. Personally, i believe thats simply favortism from bhvr because they know it will give them more money when in actuality im sure they make most of it from license chapters and rift passes.
I just wish that other survivors get the same treatment. Heck, even felix, an introverted architect, of all ppl cosplayed. Other survivors can do the same as feng. So it concerns me that they are focusing too much on feng when other survivors need it more in order to boost their playability.

Oh, I bet they make a pretty penny on individual cosmetics. If you think about it, a rift pass costs less than your average paid outfit and you'll make that back in auric cells, in addition to a ton of other stuff. I doubt their margins on that are great.
Hell, most of the full chapter DLC is less than a single auric cell outfit, which is wild. Yet you see the these outfits all the time, so they are being bought.
And if you're looking at it from a money making standpoint, it makes the most sense to create more for your most popular characters. But again, the problem is that your most popular characters are that popular in large part because of their existing catalog of cosmetics.
If you're a new player trying to decide which character to commit to, you may well go with the less compelling option who has a ton more customization options over a more compelling character with next to none. Because in the end, people love customization.
Feng, for example, isn't the most attractive, has paper thin, bare bones lore, but on average gets more play and receives more cosmetics than anyone.
Why? She has a ton of cosmetics and makes cute noises. That's about it.
1 -
Saves me needing to buy both characters cosmetic-wise, so I'm not complaining 😅

I hate how feng gets these cosmetics. makes those worlds feel fake.
0 -
Have you uploaded them somewhere? They look great.
0 -
The disparity in the acquisition of skins for each character cannot be helped.
Feng is a well-used character. And if they know that skins will be purchased for them, they will prioritize Feng's skins. If Jeff's or Adam's skins sell overwhelmingly better than Feng's, they should have been made already.
Sadly, I think it's a business issue; people who love minor characters in various productions, not just DbD, will be saddened that merchandise for minor characters is not being created. It is the same thing.
By the way, have you made Quentin's sea pants yet?
0 -
Yes! I am a Kate main and this would make me happy.
1 -
I'm a Bill main, and I just got the new Bill skin a bit ago.
Actually, I think I freaked out a little when I saw us Bills actually got something-
Still suspicious about it...hm..

You can search C3-Tooth on Twit, I drew more than 400 of these I believe.
1 -
This is exactly the reason Haddie is barely remembered at all. She launched with only recolours and 1 locked set while her 2 other cosmetics are locked to promotions/events.
If you were a new player looking at the roster today literally nothing would attract you to play Haddie since your only potential to match cosmetics is a bunch of recolours
2 -
Yeah, I dislike seeing the fact some characters almost never get cosmetics yet we see cosmetics for everyone else and honestly we know why and it isn't because some are more popular than others.
They just choose not to.
That's my head canon at least.

Feng still needs a panda onesie. Then we need to talk about Jeff and Elodie.
2 -
Instead of complaining Feng gets “too many” cosmetics, maybe try requesting more cosmetics for such and such survivor.
Feng is one of the most played survivors, why shouldn’t she have a lot of cosmetics? I’m a Jane main and I could go on and on with all the ways they cosmetically do Jane dirty (I’ll spare you), and still actually love the tons of Feng cosmetics they keep releasing…and will keep buying them ☺️

I'm not fussed if they give her a new cosmetic every week. I just want those survivors who get less cosmetics to have their wardrobes bulked up a bit more.
Feng won't rock the Princess Heart outfit like Cheryl will though.
