mother daughter ring + cherry blossom (turn your brain off and play)
this combination of addons pretty much eliminates any kind of counter spirit can have... the flower should be reworked entirelly and mothers ring could get a nerf.

Hehe I do love this combo. Great for pulling people straight off of gens. But it is an iridescent and a purple add on. Not like spirits can run that every game. That blossom add on should definitely be made iridescent though.

I think these addons (+maybe a few other good ones) is why I would consider Spirit the third best killer in the game. If you remove good addons on Spirit she would probably fall behind Artist or something.

the problem with these addons is taht literally they play the game for you. carry hard, u dont even need to know how to play spirit, and thats a problem. (especially considering spirit never was a hard killer to play with)

I get why Cherry Blossom exists (accessibility). But I also dislike anything that makes the game a "turn your brain off and win" affair.

I agree. Dried Cherry Blossom just completely ruins Spirit, imo. It quite literally does play the game for you. As a survivor you can't tell if she has it or not initially so you just have to play as if she does because if you don't and she has it, she'll just catch you. It's not a fair addon at all and nerfing it won't make it healthier; it just needs to be reworked completely (and not back into what it was before 5.3.0 because the old version of the addon was terrible). And she will still be strong enough without it.
And then yeah MDR could use a nerf.

essentially what it does. wether u like it or not, u use your power a big aura appears in front of you saying HERE HERE HERE is where u need to hit. is dumb, just dumb.

She doesn't need more nerfs to her addons, her best ones are out of the game already and MDR is supposed to be that strong.

MDR is not the big problem, is stupidly powerfull yes but is not the big problem alone but in combination with the flower if u dont see the turn your brain off and win problem that it is there, then i cant say anything else but biass.

Yeah i won't play my spirit girl without these addons. Everytime i play with yellow addons i get send to crappy maps or i get super good survivors.
Why shouldnt killers be allowed to wear their best when survivors will most likely bring their best as well + medkits
If you want to nerf her then nerf survivors iron will as well. Even though its not 100% its still really hard to hear non injured survivors with all the ambiance noises + everything else thats going on in the map. I hate that i have to crank my sounds to 100 to hear anyone.
Also just saying...you shouldn't call killers that use their best addons anything while survivors are seriously running around with 4 purple medkits + good addons or purple toolboxes + brand new parts. I really don't like how people have these double standards.

There is no skill when using blossom, so why bothering? I myself feel disappointed when I find out that that Spirit is using blossom.

The perk that no longer gives 100% sound red(75%), but also is countered by using a exhaustion perk?
Who even uses iron will post 6.1.0, let alone think is broken?

I’ve been saying this for a long time but I have no idea what was going on in BHVR’s heads when they thought keeping Mother-Daughter Ring in the game the way it is and reworking Dried Cherry Blossom like this was a good idea. This combo doesn’t actually help anyone learn Spirit properly and is just a bandaid fix for her basekit’s learning curve, not to mention that it heavily increases her power level.

I certainly see how it is an issue, but due to a lateral hearing loss I can't track audio for crap, and since I can't mindgame survs the way I used to before directional phasing sound was added, so dried cherry blossom is almost necessary for me to use her effectively against decent survs. Feels kinda dirty, but a necessary evil for me, unfortunately.
As a result, I just don't use her much anymore, which is a bummer.
As OP as the combo can be, I still don't think MDR/DCB Spirit is her most powerful configuration, though. Back in the day when she had collision with survs and before the prayer beads were nerfed it was worse, imo.
I do wish BHVR would add some sort of visual cues for directional sound for people with hearing issues.

directional audio cue for spirit quite literally plays the chase game itself for survivor. what is the point of playing against an invisible killer if I know the exact location for where the invisible killer is? It defeats purpose of being invisible.
both of these add-on is killer equalizing the negative changes.

DCB should be a brown addon that completely eliminates all sound while phasing in return for the killer instinct imho. Make it exclusively for accessibility for hard of hearing people who wouldn't be able to hear anything anyway.

I'm not a spirit main but the "addons are high rarity so they can't run it every game" argument really doesn't hold much water.

As a person with hearing loss, I'd be 100% down for this. I love playing spirit, but it's almost impossible for me to play her by using audio tracking. I either need to be running DCB, or I am limited to using her power strictly by guessing where the survivor will be or using the occasional grass/corn movement.

I don't want to play with stridor. I think it messes up my ability to hear stuff the correct way in the game. I used it few times and yeah its fine but i dont wanna learn to use it and then not be able to play normally you know.

Spirit has quite a few very strong and oppressive addons other than the MDR and Cherry Blossom. This combination allows for pretty much no counterplay. And not only that. But because she is so fast with MDR she mostly doesn't need to use her power for a long time so it actually even helps with the cooldown (similar to the duration addons). These addons are just overtuned.

I just crank my volume on 100 if i dont use cherry blossom. If i feel not as nasty i play with yellow addons...if i have had tough matches and too many bags ill switch to mean spirit :D

So you've dunked a huge amount of BP into a character. I'd imagine that less than 1% of players have that sort of playtime. You put in a massive effort in so you get to rinse teams with those addons. Doesn't mean that every player can constantly run those add ons. What prestige is your blight out of interest?

Spirit's addons were gutted + she got a directional phase sound so you know where she comes from now,what else do you need,game holding your hands even more ? she can have some strong addons like every killer has

Not really. The directional audio means the survivor gets more information on the spirit than they did before and the power might not be as effective at safer loops. Overall, survivors still need to make reads and you can’t always perfectly react to the directional audio because of how fast she is. She’s not as strong as she was before, but it isn’t autoplay for the survivor by any means.
Basekit spirit is pretty much perfect as she is. Had they gone through with the change they initially proposed where she kicks up dust (thank god they didn’t), then that would’ve been overkill.

since the bloodpoint requirements nerf to the web, i feel that even new killers have way overabundant supplies of rare addons. i mostly played with yellow or green addons as killer as i already felt too powerful with these when playing as a strong killer such as spirit

they get so much information that it defeats purpose of being invisible. there is no need for dust when you can hear her across walls. Swinging outside of phase can get you hit by dead hard.

you could make dbd meme image where the image looks black & white. On one side, you have Ada's wong wiretap image, In the middle you have spirit with these two add-ons and on black side, you have an image of red bumble on killer instinct.

But it makes it a lot easier and you can do it from much further away. I know it has other uses too but that's my favourite.
