I'm Curious.
I wan't to make a long ass essay about how I feel about DBD, and thing's I would like to see change. Not salt changes, but genuine ideas to try balance the game. However, knowing the community. Is there any point in me using my time to type it out? Or will the elitist DBD players just come along and ruin the comments? So, to reiterate. Should I use my time to make a geuine essay about DBD, or just leave it to spare me the salty comments?

your opinions are welcome. please try to be balanced if possible. many people come here and make threads about how killers shouldnt be allowed to kill them, or camp, or breath, or use m1 or the W key.
id love to hear what you think about the new dlc! the spirit is great right?0 -
Well there are some people who would try and answer honestly but alot of people just pick sides and try to deny the other side any positive changes.0

I think the spirit is really fun to play against, but I'm still earning the shards to buy her. From what I've heard of a friend tho. She sounds great!

History in school put me into the habit of not being biased with essay writing. And ofcourse I play survivor and killer equally now, so naturally I want to maximise my fun on both sides.
Edit: spelling mistakes.

Giving your opinion about the game (in the hope of improving it) is NEVER a bad thing.
People will disagree, people will flame you, and you could theoretically be "wrong" on points you suggest. But as long as it's your opinion, that's your choice to share it.
If you write a big post complaining, ranting or attacking the Devs, that won't be constructive or help the game grow.
Also keep in mind, discussing "Balance" in this game is almost failed before it begins. The game (by it's very nature/ design) can't ever be balanced. In a 1 vs 4 game such as this, with players of varying and inconsistent skill, the concept of "balance" can never really be achieved.

If you make it well thought out and fair you'll likely get good responses, and decent discussions going.
If its the typical "Everything is OP, whatever side needs nerfs, left behind is such a crutch perk!" insanity that happens constantly here, probably won't get over so well.
I personally love seeing the well done topics, with actual insights of people that play both sides. So hey, if you do I'll be there for it

I'm satisfied with the responses i got back on the Steam forums when i made a long post.
Mainly cause i thought things through and reminded everyone that they're all opinions. (With some facts. )0 -
Make it as unbaised as possible, present your argument in a well-thought-out, polite way, and leave your ideas open to critique and I'm pretty sure the comment section should stay pretty chill. But I'm not sure though. There was a post a while back that devolved into a complete sh!tshow, even though the main topic was just how to report on x-box.

Even if you never post it... It's worth doing. I love to write. I feel like it's great for a person's sanity. Especially if you're trying to make a point or share your experiences with something. It'll make you think about a lot of different things. Sometimes people just talk a bunch of nonsense because they're not really thinking about how they actually feel. Especially with a game like DBD where you go from having a blast to hating your life in two seconds.
Might find out that you change your mind on a lot of things you thought you enjoyed/disliked about it. So I'd say go for it. Though the comments will most likely be toxic. DBD has the most toxic community in the gaming community. It just doesn't get viewed that way because the DBD community is so tiny that it's easily forgotten.

No matter what others say your opinions do matter here and we need more unbiased ones in this community.0

Thanks everyone ^_^ Now I know I'll be doing it, feels good to have y'all supporting me. I'm not sure if I should have a post for giving updates on my progress, but I could just start with this post! Although I will say, right now I got about two A4 pages done. But again, thanks for the support!!

Got it. Use a slug build on the huntress and let everyone bleed out while only using the hatchet while strafing

It will just be ignored like everything else. Best example for this is the depip experiment, with data and all the stuff. How did the devs react? "Unnecessary stuff, we already knew it was unbalanced" nothing has happened so far regarding the gen situation.0 -

You're either a bad, mediocre or good player, which makes you have different perception of the game. Also it matters how much you play each side. That's why there is a lot of drama on the forums, because everyone experiences the game differently, based on their skill level.

I just want to weigh in on this and say absolutely do it. As much as some people think that we don't read this stuff, we love hearing input from the community, myself included. I would also like to state, that we have a dedicated team that are working tirelessly on the game, and they may not always have time to acknowledge everyone directly. That does not mean that we don't appreciate the feedback. Every piece of information helps us, and the well thought out posts can help advance the game itself

It's absolutely worth the time. The issue people take isn't with people posting things like you're wanting, it's when those people aren't open minded to critiques or changing their opinion. Many people post their opinions not to be challenged but to simply have people pat them on the back and tell them how right they are.
