Devs do nothing to penalize griefers
Was slugged as the last survivor, either because he was mad I looped him all game or because he just is a sad person in general. He dropped me right next to the hook for further insult.
Either way, the devs don't seem to give a crap. Why aren't there common sense tools in place to stop this garbage? This is basic stuff.

The finisher mori mechanic got rid of bleedouts pretty much entirely, but we don't know what changes they have planned from the first PTB (Mandy has confirmed that there'll be another one at least).

You mean it’s not holding him hostage. There is a difference. Leaving him to bleed for four minutes when he could have easily hooked is, in fact, griefing.

By that logic, it's not griefing if it ever ends.
That isn't what griefing means. Griefing is doing something with no practical value for the purpose of making another player upset. Bleeding someone out for reasons unrelated to being unable to hook them is griefing.

Bodyblocking you in a corner, carrying you while downed and repeating when you wiggle, specifically targeting you in games repeatedly etc

It is not. They said a long time ago that leaving someone to bleed out is not considered griefing, because of the bleed out timer

Would you prefer he use the term BM'ing? You're playing semantics. Correct, leaving someone to bleed out for four minutes for no reason is not a reportable offense. It is however, intentionally being toxic in order to BM and "grief" the person on the ground. It's not much worse than spam hitting them on the hook or teabagging, but it is another form of being an #########.

If you’re doing nothing the whole game, hide for 10 minutes when there are 2 people left or bm the entire game - I'm leaving you to bleed out. And would still do it if it was bannable

Griefing is prioritizing upsetting someone over winning. Trolling is a form of griefing. Holding the game hostage is a form of griefing. Cheating is griefing. Slugging is not griefing, unless the person slugs you repeatedly and never hooks you, even though they could.

I bleed out maybe 1 in 1000 games
I get a DC maybe 1 in 50 games (god that's massively generous considering I have had 3 in 5 games)
While I agree being slugged to bleed out is annoying and pointless at least it's not massively common nor massively ruining how the game played

Slugging isn't greifing and neither is trolling they both kinda go hand in hand and there are a lot of conditions that have to be a certain way for someone to even be considered for the two , I can have a squad troll you the entire game but as long as someone even tapped a gen or did anything resembling normal gameplay its not reportable

You can also crawl towards the gates after being slugged.
Edit: That pallet drop perk has actually increased my slugging of people, if you crawl towards a pallet especially if you're the last i might just watch you bleed.

Lol if this game wasn't called DBD, it would be named Griefing: The Game. BM is baked into DBD at the core.
Anyway, the reason the base-kit Unbreakable change and the Mori change were proposed was to address unnecessary slugging like in your post. They are aware it's a problem at least.

Yeah, you can push the survivors out when the gates are opened.. they will either escape the trial, or be killed. A slugged survivor (without perks to pick themselves up) with the hatch closed and the gates unopened has no such possibilties.

One time before it got patched I had a squad trying to head on and sabo troll me when I was playing twins, I got one to basement and they all three bombed the hook so I stood on the stairs and released victor to block the other side and went AFK to eat dinner and came back to 4 dcs and a really colorful chat, that was reportable and I could've been banned for that due to the game not being able to end and it wouldve counted as greifing and holding the game hostage

I was forced to DC just now because of griefers taking me hostage. The Myers and the Mikaela were working together. Nothing I could do.

It depends if they dropped you at the hook and went and closed hatch or did other stuff for bloodpoints it isnt really griefing because there is a bug right now where the final hook doesnt count for pipping anyways.
