Role incentives - doing anything?

How many of you have been deciding which role (survivor or killer) to play, based on the bloodpoints incentive active at the time?

Ever since they were introduced, I have not played a single match based on the active incentive. If I really want to play a certain role, I will play that role. The BP incentives are too weak for me to pull me to play the role I'm not in the mood to. The only thing that pulls me personally to play a certain role (usually killer, 'cause I prefer survivor) is when there are tome killer challenges that I want to complete.

In my case, I mostly want to play survivor, and the incentives are on survivors most of the time, so they coincide nicely, but even if they were on killer, it wouldn't motivate me to play killer instead. I think that for me personally, what could motivate me to play a role is if there were iridescent shards attached to it. Or just player EXP, which influences the rate I get shards at.

Killer queues are still long from time to time, so incentives don't seem to be working suffiiciently.

I'd like to hear your opinions.

Killer queues are long because there's a constant tension in the survivor/killer ratio of what is ideal for matchmaking (4:1, more survivors = longer survivor queues, more killers = longer killer queues) and what is ideal for the game being fun (1:1, more survivors = game is unfun for killer, more killers = game is unfun for survivors).

Personally I use the incentives as a queue time estimate so that I know when I can switch to killer (Pretty much any time the survivor incentive isn't 100%) since I find playing killer more fun and only really play survivor when the incentives are 100%.

It doesn’t affect me because I like playing killer way more than survivor, but I would be a little surprised if there aren’t a lot of players taking advantage of incentives when they don’t care which side they play.

I do. Whenever incentives are not on survivor AND I am not playing with my friends, I will play killer. Meaning I play mostly survivor

I noticed survivors get the bonus a majority of the time. If I’m playing to grind I’ll choose the bonus bp side. I like these are offered. Shards would be AMAZING to get. Let’s hope :)

I'm just like you! Also I noticed that the BP doesn't make a big difference at the end of the game.

Speaking for myself I do finds myself playing more Survivor.

My main reason for paying Killer was they were now reliable at earning Bloodpoints. Since BP is my main goal I tend to follow the incentives barring killers Dailies/ Challenges or when I'm genuinely in the mood to play Killer.

    I do.

Mostly because, if there's killer incentives it means the queues are fast :>
