Lack of regional servers
I am a player from India. I have heard that the game used to have some servers located in Mumbai. For some reason, these servers were shut down and now I always have 100+ ping in my games while a server in Mumbai would give me a ping of 20-25. As a survivor, 100+ ping is unplayable. As an example,
this is a compilation of poor hits i gathered just from the last week's games. Every game I have to play and endure these types of hits. This is not a killer ping issue as in most clips the killer high ping icon is not even shown.
I have talked to multiple people playing from my country and everyone's experience is the same. These types of hits are so frustrating and I genuinely feel like not playing as a survivor at all, but the killer queue times are so long that I am forced into the survivor role.
I have tried contacting support, tried posting on reddit and tried tagging DBD's twitter account in a similar post. This is the last place that I can think for sharing these issues. I don't browse these forums at all so I don't know how this works, but if a dev or BHVR staff member is reading this, please consider re enabling the Mumbai servers once again.
As for the other people viewing this post, do you encounter similar issues in your game as well? I would love to know you people's opinion on this.

Yeah we need more server locations, it would help improve my ping

Yup, I can confirm this happens to me too and I'm sick of it, lag has waaaay too much control over how bad hits can be.

Totally for more locations. I don't have the problem myself but in EU Central (Frankfurt I guess) there are a lot of players from eastern Europe because there is no EU East server. And if you get a killer with bad ping (the icons show) because of server locations you also get these 5km hits through windows. Even if your ping is good.
Tbh your clip with the first Wesker is nuts. There, the bad killer ping icon also lit up. I really don't understand why window and pallet hits have no hit validation yet. If they have, this should be fixed.

Agreed. I am also from EU and can say the same when playing against especially Russian players.
But validation would not fix it. You loop by seeing/hearing where the killer goes. If you decide too late, because of bad killer's ping, you will not get that window even after this validation.
This can only be fixed by more server locations and showing ping in lobby (for easier dodge).

I mean, the indicators luckily help with severe cases above 200ms killer ping but for anything else, you need to guess. And that can cost you matches.
The easiest solution for this would be to also show a yellow killer ping, so you can at least prepare.
If I remember correctly people already asked for a Russian server some time ago, but I think it might be a bit difficult to do at the moment because of... you know... Reasons.

I live in iraq and get 150-180 connection test I was on a server in India I am getting 60 ping in 2020 I hope they do a server in the Middle East so we can have a good connection with what we have in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia

Don't forget Canada. We need Canadian servers as well.

yeah in 2020 they had some servers in India but they closed them for no reason and now we are stuck with this stupid ping

so true. You either pre-drop or you die. Even if you pre-drop, killers hit you in 1-2 loops around the pallet by hitting you after you have completed your vault. so Frustrating

i don't know why people are not complaining about this more often. The most fun aspect of survivor gameplay is so much dependant on latency and for some reason the issue is hugely suppressed in the community.

I hope they care about players who live in South Asia, Middle East They can bring back the Indian server or make a server in the Middle East, but they don't care about the players there, they only care about adding new killers.

I'm having this problem too. Maybe we people who live in places with no server should communicate and open a discussion about this issue. We can make our voices be heard by developers and show there is a demand about opening new servers.

the game needs to add dubai servers i feel for most of the people in the middle east that want to play the game but dont want to play on 100+ ping. I enjoy the game but I hate the fact the game gives the killers hits that they dont deserve because of the high ping i have, i see other streamers playing the game and compared to when they get hit, It basically feels like im getting hit from across the map and it sucks.

They have servers for NA as a whole, but they don't do hyper granular separation between US and Canada as far as I know. So you can get games with someone in Ohio, Ontario, Georgia, Winnepeg, Montana, and Toronto with the same likelihood getting a game with some folks a few blocks over. I imagine server costs are pretty big for dbd and they may have folded some lower player density regions together to save on costs.
