What if, Killer could see survivor builds before the match started?
I feel like this would help eliminate wasted perk slots. If I saw two survivors running boon totem builds, that incentivizes me to actually use Shattered Hope.
Currently you equip Shattered Hope in the off chance they may use boons, and if they don't you are a killer with three perks. Similar interactions can occur with other perks.
We can currently already see what items the survivors are bringing. If I see all four survivors holding flashlights, you better believe I'm equipping Lightborn.

This could probably be counteracted easily by last second survivor switching. I know I'd definitely do this if I knew that the killer had almost a minute to craft the perfect counter to my build.

Survivor swapping sorta invalidates this. This entirely invalidates so many perks, and the whole reason is because shattered hope does nothing without boons. Better idea just ######### buff shattered hope to not being entirely dependant on boons.

You wouldn't even need to switch survivors, you could simply switch loadouts now that I think of it.

Yea or make shattered hope base kit, but I don't think Behaviour is going to do that because people have been screaming for that since even before Shattered Hope existed and they haven't done it now... so I don't see why they would all of a sudden start listening now.
Efforts are probably better spent on asking for something else because it's pretty obvious they don't want to make it base kit.

I see being able to see the perk loadouts of survivors as killer being too much

As someone who plays both killer and survivor, I don't agree.
Yea I think this would cause people to loadout dodge just to make sure the killer can't do what I was suggesting so this wouldn't work. It would also create a bad experience where survivors feel that they need to load out dodge every time. Good point.

glad this isn’t a thing

Only if survivors get to see killer load outs

A big part of perks, on both sides, is impredictability. If you can surprise the opponent with your build, you can get it to work at least once.
As an example, I use Lithe/Dance With Me. It works pretty often in early game, a bit less once the killer's seen me vault. It definitely wouldn't work if the killer saw in lobby that I had that combo.
Seeing the perk loadouts of survivors would remove a lot of diversity from them, as survivor meta would shift back or crank it up towards what is strong regardless of the situation (DH for exhaustion, busted medkits for healing, Adrenaline, and so on and so forth) instead of giving situational/underrated builds a chance. Niche or lesser used perks would greatly fade from common builds.

I'd not like this, honestly. The unpredictability makes the game fun for me, and to know exactly what is being brought in would not only take that away, but also nullify a lot of survivor perks without them having a chance and feels unfair to me.
Sure, it can be predictable what they'll bring, and the survivors already reveal their item to the killer on the loading screen, which gives the killer a slight advantage (a fair one, though). But knowing a perk loadout feels a bit too much.

The Survivors would just continuously switch their loadouts before the match started.
It would not work out the way you want it too.

No way this would be implemented before SoloQ benefits from this first.

I love that build. Lithe, Dance with me and quick and quiet. I call it "drop a gear and disappear"

I like the rhyme haha !
I'm thinking of maybe switching to Overcome instead of Lithe to disappear out of sight before vaulting, maybe with Lightweight, I'll have to check it out at some point :)

This suggestion would remarkably unbalance the game. Like some perks need the element of surprise to be effective. It'd make a lot of perks useless, and also hugely unbalance the game in the killers favour, which it already is.

Smash hit, parental guidance, lightweight, residual manifest is pretty decent. Slam a pallet on their head and blind with torch, by the time the blind wears off you're gone with 0 scratch marks.

Only if I can see the killer and their build too. That way if it's a Plague I know not to bring a medkit or any healing perks so I don't waste a perk slot. Or if it's a doctor it will incentivize me to run Calm Spirit.

I heard about that build, but I am extremely bad at getting pallet stuns (and at flashlights), so that ship has sailed for me haha !

Yeah pallet stuns are a nightmare at the moment. I can't hit them to save my life either. I think it was something to do with trying to bandaid reverse stunning. I tend to ride the line pretty thin so Ive been getting hit through alot of pallets im smashing my spacebar to throw.

That’s funny

Oh, you misunderstand. I have always been bad at them. xD
I'm still pretty recent to the game (started during the masquerade event) and I haven't really put a lot of time into practicing chase extensively or really learning how to loop certain tiles, so I'm still kinda flailing around grasping at straws when chased. I'll need quite a bit more experience to register naturally when to slam pallet down and when not to :)

See thats the secret. You never do. You just throw everything and hope for the best xD Broken clock is right twice a day :P

Hahaha, that's very encouraging and I'm loving it !
