Title.

The fact I will get people lobby dodge because I'm playing my least leveled player is quite annoying especially with how backfill and matchmaking works...

Like I get it, low prestige might mean low playtime especially if it's on the default survivors so you think that player may not be your skill, but in reality that's just not always true and prestige doesnt show skill. Theres alot of high prestige bad players...

Just annoying I'll be playing a P4 ada and get lobby dodged because I wasnt as high as everyone else yet if I play a higher prestige it's okay... like I physically level everyone and have every other character and killer P12+

I don't have this problem at the moment, although I am more or less in the same situation as you.

I wait to have enough BP to prestige 1 my characters, to obtain these abilities, before raising the characters that I often play

When BHV had hidden the rank level of the players, there was less "stress" if I remember correctly, less sweaty killer or sweaty survivor, less toxicityts

I have the opposite "problem", my favourite survivors were P3 before prestige changes so they're P9 now. With P9 I would be by far the highest prestige in virtually every lobby I get, typical prestige of teammates is 0-2, with a rare 4-6 ever now and then, and very occasionally a 10-14. I feel that puts a lot of pressure on me to perform best in the match so I deliberately play with survivors I didn't level but I would prefer to play with my favourites that I bought cosmetics for.

It's even worse on the killer side. I play super chill and don't care about kills, but since the prestige changes if I want to play my higher prestige killers I feel like I would have to sweat hard to justify my prestige level. There are some killers that I just levelled to P3 because I had too many blood points but I never played them except for dailies so I never learned them properly, now I don't dare playing them even for dailies any longer.

My preferred solution would be a switch to toggle prestige display off, with this option my prestige wouldn't be shown to others, and I would not see other people's prestige either. Those who want to show off theirs can still show it off, I can play more relaxed.

If they want prestiges to be displayed with no opt-out, prestige levels should be considered as an additional matchmaking parameter to generate lobbies with players of the same prestige so that there isn't one who sticks out due to high/low prestige.

Of all of the indicators BHVR wanted to show in lobbies, it baffles one to wonder why they chose prestige. It literally only reflects blood points invested in one particular character, and nothing else. On top of that: with it capping out at prestige 100, it doesn’t even perfectly reflect the points spent on a P100 character.

Anyone remember they briefly showed player prestige and level for a while, then took it away? (This was a couple years ago.) Just to bring it back now...
