What's by far the best or most fun killer on console?

Best depends what platform. Low FPS consoles make blight and nurse borderline unplayable against good teams so spirit is probably your best bet. On decent FPS consoles like PS5 etc nurse becomes actually playable.
Most fun killer is subjective, but if ur on console Id stay away from trickster and oni as they are not console friendly (and maybe blight, but I've seen some very rare decent console blights so idk).

Artist? Probably the easiest one to play that is strong, both nurse and blight require high sensitivity which can be hard on a joystick for alot of people and you still cant match the sensitivity of PC for blight.
All killers can be fun as long as you dont go against a full team of good survivors though

The Hillbilly for me. Every time I play as him I'll fully roleplay to the chaotic s.o.b that he is, and he's also the only killer where - even if I do absolutely terrible - I've had a good time!
As for builds, mine are always randomized, but this adds to the craziness. I suppose for added amusement, a perk that grants the oblivious status like Dark Devotion or Trail of Torment, alongside Call of Brine, combined with a speed add-on and the Apex Muffler can be pretty neat.

On console I'd avoid Oni, Trickster, Blight, Huntress (I use her a lot on console, but at a clear disadvantage), and maybe Nurse and Slinger - any that rely a lot on what would normally be quick, precise mouse movements (flicks and aiming).
Sure would be nice if we got some sensitivity/dead zone support for console.
As for who I would use first, I agree that Spirit is probably the best bet for a high tier killer on console (I was a Spirit main for my first 500 hours or so of DBD). Going down the list, killers I've done quite well with on console are Pyramid Head, Plague, and Artist, but pretty much any of the ones not listed at the top should be be fine to use on console.

I play Doctor on PS4 with Distressing.
Lets you find survs. Works ok for me.

All down to personal preference. I love demo, the aesthetic, the hit and run plays, the satisfaction of a perfectly judged shred hit on a surv whonis trying to shack loop you, and i love using the undetectable from a portal emerge to ambush someone on a gen. Demo i usually use sloppy, jolt, tinkerer and bbq & chilli. If I'm running iridescent add ons I'll switch bbq for iron maiden and tinkerer for iron grasp or lightborn.
Ghostface is definitely a close second. I've always loved stealth play in any game. And peeking round a corner marking and downing an unsuspecting survivor on a gen is so damn fun.

Slinger, Huntress, Nurse, Oni, Blight can be hell to play if your fps suffers, I only managed to start playing alot of blight when I bought a better console, ot Also made life as a trickster main less of a QUACK
Wesker, Cenobite, Spirit and Huntress are your best bets I'd say, as long as you don't need crazy Reaction times you should be grand

Most fun for me is Trapper with Corrupt, Whispers, Enduring, Jolt and some Addons to set his traps faster. And Plague with Corrupt, Infectious, Whispers and brutal strengh
Not the best killers or perks to win every match with but I play for fun and points and that works well for me

I play xbox. My best killers are doctor and spirit, closely followed by demo, ghostface and clown.
Fun? Well i always love a good demo game but i have to work hard at it. If I'm just chilling and not fussed about wins then deathslinger and twins are my go to. Reeling in survs is a lot of fun, and people see twins so rarely you often end up with meme games where the survs babysit victor for me because he enjoys watching them work on gens. Ghostface is an absolute blast to play as well, love stealth gameplay and exposing survs on gens and watching them panic is so much fun.

Nurse is still the best killer in the game on console. It just takes like 10 times longer to learn her.
Blight is playable but not as good as he is on PC.
Artist and Spirit are literally the same thing.
Just don't play Trickster honestly, everything else can be fun.
