Anyone else reluctant to prestige killer?

I would like a bloody P3 Myers or Spirit but I feel like you are setting your stall out as some kind of badass by doing that.

Then when the inevitable game comes where you are looped, pallet smashed and all 4 escape within minutes you are going to look like a right chump standing there in your P3 outfit. And derided by the survivors even more than usual.

Surely not just me?

(I think generally I see more prestige survivors than killers.)

I don't bother because it takes too much time. I'd rather unlock more perks on each killer than waste BP unlocking the same cosmetic but with blood on it.

Besides the store often has far better cosmetics anyway.

I do it only for the killers I like to play such as Freddy, Pig, and Legion. Working on my Spirit right now and I might do Myers but I dont play him as much. I'm also trying to p3 every new killer now once they come out. I did it with Legion and I want to do it on the next killer

I can understand a reluctancy to do so, especially when there are some incredible cosmetics in the store for a lot of the killers as well. I am slowly working my way through the killers to get them to P3-50 as a personal goal, as I have P3-50'd all but 2 survivors, however I am only doing it one killer at a time, making sure that I can still play ones that I feel comfortable with in the meantime :)

I was tempted once but I realized It's waaaay too much of a grind for just a cosmetic.

I have a P3 spirit I manged to do that at the winter double BP event. She's the only killer I have P3.
I don't care if they all escaped
I did it for the satisfaction

There is no need anymore with all the cosmetics imo, the extra percentage for items/offering in not really worth it, I would get all the characters you want with the teachables and perks and then once thats completed save up 1m bloodpoints if you still wish to do it as a personal goal.

I didn't really intend this thread to be about store cosmetics or the grind.

It was more a question of dare you risk the extra humiliation of losing in a bloodied tryhard outfit?

    Only once

Yeah me too. It's boring since the cosmetics are so good compared to the P3 skins. I agree @Giddawid

@Rex_Huin Ah, I see. I was focusing more on the title rather than your post under it. As for "looking like a chump", who cares? You win some, you lose some. I try not to take it to heart <3

The only killer I've gotten to prestige three is the Clown, and that is simply because I like the look of his bloody cosmetics. I don't feel bad if I perform poorly in a match when wearing a prestige item, and if you like the look of the bloody cosmetics, you shouldn't be afraid to wear them. I've never been insulted for using P3, and I've even gotten some compliments since some players don't see very many Clowns.

Prestiging the licensed killers makes sense. They have no other stuff.

A P3 myers looks stupid honestly. I have his knife prestiged, but that's it. The mask with blood on it looks dumb and the outfit as well.

Freddy looks badass, as well as LF.

Yeah, I always incorporate a prestige item into all of my outfits. If I fail for whatever reason, everyone's very quick to give it to you. Hence I will only ever wear one item at a time, just so it's not too obvious...

Just depends on how you feel about it I guess. I personally don't think I'm a good player so I don't care if my P3 Bubba gets rekt'd.

Only thing that gets in the way for most players is their ego.

  • I don’t really think embarrassment should play a part in it. As a survivor main I pay no attention to whether or not the killer has prestieged cosmetics on. If I got outplayed I know it or if I outplayed them I know it doesn’t matter what cosmetics are on. So really it’s just do you want them and do you like/want the grind or not?

My goal has always been all perks all killers and all perks on the survivors I use. If I ever get to the point where I have no more perks to unlock on anyone I might consider prestiging a survivor for the camouflage. Perks over skins all day.

Plus some of the blood effects on the cosmetics look really bad

I prestiged at first, then I realized it was purely a waste of time. It is a horrible grind just for cosmetics. After getting Pig, Hag, Claudette, and Feng to P3, I figured out I was completely wasting my time. The % chance for better stuff is so minor it is just not worth it. So, I leveled Trapper to 50 and just kept getting him perks. He is almost done now with no resets. Much faster, and much more worth it.

Since the release of the cosmetic store, I now only prestige license killers or survivors. The original survivors and killers I do not bother to prestige as I just get stuff from the store.

  • what i do is level up to lvl 50, then start to save bloodpoints. After i spend all of my good add-ons i already have like 900K bp and i can prestige and go to like lvl 40 just with bp i saved while playing. Spirit's bloody hands are just so cool.

I have prestiged a lot of survivors and killers. Everyone has bad games. Don't worry about it.

Predigested 1 lvl 50 every killer and survivor, no need to go further, especially since the new cosmetics are so good.

I only have my Spirit p3'd and IMO it's worth it. She looks so badass sexy covered in blood. I haven't noticed much of a difference in the blood web. It feels like I'm getting maybe 1 more purple per web on average but that's about it.

As far as being embarrassed, I feel like you shouldn't worry about that. Everyone has a bad game here and there. As long as you make the survivors work for the escape then they won't look at you like a boosted killer.

I understand your point very well, but I still wanna prestige, I want my bloody main man Mr. Bing Bong

Yeah but people need to realize the P3 outfits don't mean you're very experienced with that character. You can spend bloodpoints earned by any means on any person, so you can P3 a killer you've never actually played. It does generally mean you know a bit about the game, though, so people will look for any excuse to make you look bad. People are like that, unfortunately.

I only did it on Michael, and that was bad enough having to start from scratch three times. But I do love his bloody knife and mask.

I do it because it feels satisfying. Got all killers p3 lvl 50, working on getting all perks for Freddy and some others. I have no life.

You can always switch to survivor when prestiging, thats what i due to prevent being bullied with no perks. you could also save up to 1 million by playing killer, either way will help you

I do it only for killers I use outside of dailies. Never felt the need to lvl survivors past 40 so I dump my points to killer. While I could care less about the cosmetics, I do find I have a much steadier supply of addons green & up. If Dev's ever add something that requires to p3 for an unlock at least my favorites will be ready.

I usually get everyone level 50 than when I want to focus on one person to get to P3 50 I work on that killer afterwards.

Tbh I've his t played long enough where it turned into a why not do it. I don't really wear prestige, but just knowing my killer is max feels nice. Idgaf about feeling like anything

I am only doing it simply because their is nothing else to do in this game. Yea the grind is big but i would rather that than having to sit there and having nothing to do, the only thing keeping this game alive is the grind. That's it.
