How are you held hostage?

https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000942011
You'll also need the video evidence to submit
EDIT: Huh...that's kind of funny. The DBD Report Link won't show up in the forum because it says it is "Not Responding" so all you get is the hyperlink above instead of the image of the report

Record footage, then go here:

A killer bodyblocked me and another survivor inside the gas station for about 20 minutes, then smacked us on hook. I did nothing that could be considered toxic.
These people need therapy.

Killers can't body block but survivors can?
1 -
Probably cause the survivors can't belt the killer with a weapon.
13 -
How were you blocked in the gas station? There's an open back window and completing the gen opens up the garage door?
9 -
I mean does the Gas Station have multiple exits? The only area you can get trapped in is the garage with the Truck but a generator spawns there, and completing the generator opens the garage door so technically you can escape from it. Or is there something I am missing here?
7 -
In the backroom where the gen is, if its there, its one way in and out if the gens not done or the doors not broke.
So yeah he's probably trapped

Something doesn't add up...
2 survivors
1 non attacking killer
A building with multiple entry points
Was it after the gens were done? That's the only way I can think of that would allow the killer to block you in without options.

There's also that little cash register spot in the building that has a chest sometimes.
If a killer blocks you in, you're not getting out.
5 -
They're two completely different things. Survivors bodyblock the killer to protect teammates, either in chase or on the way to a hook. The killer can hit them out of the way, and the killer can't actually be trapped because survivors lose collision when hit. It serves a purpose and comes with ample risk.
A killer bodyblocking a survivor without attacking them has no strategic value unless it's endgame collapse, and the survivor can't do anything to get out of it or exit the match. The killer is just throwing the game to grief the survivor.
Survivors bodyblocking other survivors in this way is also against the rules.

I'm sure it has to be this one.

Yep. Only spot I could think of as well. By the front door on the left is a nook that I would be very surprised anyone hid in.

Look on the bright side! If you DC you are one step closer to a permanent ban!
Pretty.
Good.
Job.
So far.

You can be blocked behind the counter if you get unlucky with the window spawn
1 -
It's amazing how people can still bodyblock each other for so long.

The cash register spot.

The cash register spot.

The cash register spot. Also why would I make this up 🙄

A killer can hit a survivor twice and they are no longer blocked, survivors literally cannot block killers other than taking a single hit for an injured team mate. I have been held hostage in a corner by a killer and I did not want to DC so all I could do was go out and take my dog for a walk etc... That person should be banned but the penalties have been too soft.
I cant wait for harsher penalties to come, I am sick of people ruining the game for others and it has gone on far too long as it is. If people cant play like adults/normal human beings... they should be removed from the game.

I have never seen someone get trapped there, let alone two people get trapped there. Why would you hide there to begin with?
(EDIT: I am a bit late, but since people really think that I am trying to shift blame to the survivors, I am not albeit I worded it very poorly, Ive just literally never seen anyone get stuck there so I was just asking a question, the situation was better explained and I have a better understanding which is why I asked. Thanks to those who tried to clear things up for me.)

You're so desperate to find a way to blame the survivors lol

Disconnecting only ever results in temporary bans.

Good news! The harsher punishments are already being used.

Good, sooner the scummy players are purged the better. The toxicity in this game really can kill the fun at times

If ur a killer being held hostage you’d get a fix like the recent update announcement but if you’re a survivor being held hostage they’ll just ignore it, don’t waste your time.

Maybe they were both hiding together in a place rarely checked? Maybe they were role-playing as service clerks. Maybe they were coming up from basement and, both being solo queue, got tripped up by each other not knowing what the other would do. Maybe they just aren't very good and didn't realize how easy it is to be trapped there. Maybe they are so good that they thought the killer would never check there because killers rarely do, but the killer did a super brain play and looked there, and then decided to be toxic.
Or maybe it doesn't matter what the reason is, and toxic behavior should be looked down upon and punished?

Two survivors left, Dwight and me. Bubba was downing him, then downed me. Dwight crawled to the cashier spot. Bubba let me wiggle out, so I healed Dwight. Bubba followed me while doing that, then bodyblocked the way out.
How is this so hard to imagine?

Actually, it will be a longer wait for them to be permanently banned. It’s four strikes for that, which is unchanged from before. Yet the first three strikes simply have longer durations now. It’s a rather worthless change, that does nothing to simplify or streamline the reporting process.

Man, Threads like those... People are more arguing how it can actually happen to get trapped instead of giving the correct answer - record and contact Support. (Which was given in this Thread)
And it does not matter why one or two Survivors are in a Spot where they can be blocked (the little cash register in the Main Building), if the Killer is blocking them, they are doing a bannable offense at this point. But this Forum tries to think about any way why this cannot happen, because Killers are innocent little lambs who need to be protected, so a Killer would never do something like that!
Yikes.
In general, it is a joke that it is still possible that Players (Killers and Survivors) can block Survivors in some spots. The blocked Survivor should lose collision once they got AFK-Crows and thats it, bodyblocking solved. Yes, you can report those players, but a) not everyone knows that they have to record and b) this does not help the person being blocked at this point.

Im not, I just didnt understand the situation and was confused, so I decided to ask some questions about it. Albeit, I will admit that it was worded poorly and can be seen as me trying to shift blame when my question was just focusing on how someone would get stuck back there since I have literally never seen it happen before. (And after having it explained, I can understand why they got stuck back there, and Im glad it was explained.)

Sorry, I did not understand that is what happened, my interpretation of the situation was completely different. But yea, that is reportable. Ive literally never seen anyone do that before but it is something I am definitely going to keep an eye out for so I can avoid it in the future.

When did I say it shouldnt be looked down on and punished? I simply was just wanting more information so I was asking questions because I was confused regarding the situation. It was better explained later on (thankfully), but my intentions are not to undermine the situation.

Yeah I’m never going to this spot again too

Maybe his internet went out and then came back. Or the batteries in his remote died and he had to go to circle K to get more... or he had to take a dump and his kid just held you there cos his kid is 5 and doesn't know how to play... and it was DC or poop his pants or put the game on hold... maybe her gramma fell and couldn't get up... and she had to wait for life alert to respond... or maybe the gamer was just a dbag...
