Can’t believe they are removing locker flashlight saves
Fun is being sucked away from this game yet again, something that actually takes skill was very situational and only works in certain locations. Learning this was fun and something to strive to, flashlights run out and eventually you can’t do it? I don’t see the problem.

Eventually you can’t do it anymore, yeah. After several blinds and a ton of wasted time for the killer that they couldn’t do anything about. It doesn’t matter whether it was situational or not, there wasn’t any counterplay to it if it was done properly.

Good. It can be abused and should be removed as killers are locked in animation and cannot do anything at all to prevent it. Nothing should give you immunity like that

A technique where the optimal counter-play is to simply not play is by definition, not skillful.

When this is changed/prioritized over camping Bubba. Pretty good job so far.

Killers litterally have perks to counter blinding and taking away survivors items

"Fun is being sucked away from this game yet again"
Fun for whom?
For both sides?
Or just for you?
This reminds me of an anecdote.
It was on the PTB.
Everybody was testing the new killer (I don't remember who it was) 😛
Personally, I was on my nurse because I knew that some fixes had been applied to it, and I wanted to test them 😂
I arrived in the lobby.
SWF team.
4 flashlights 🤔
I take lightborn.
Beginning of the game.
I chase a survivor, I hit him once, twice, I put him on the ground, I look around, nobody.
I pick it up.
And there, a Steeve literally falls from the sky (he was in fact hidden a bit high, in LVL 100 ninja mode) right in front of me and tries to blind me 😅
When he understands that I have lightborn, he DC.
Another DC.
Then the third, and the fourth.
End chat: I literally get set on fire as "playing lightborn on the PTB is shameful, you noob, go play Minecraft, etc."
So if I understand the idea correctly, survivors have the right to want to set up a bully squad of death with flashlights, but on the other hand, if I DARE to want to defend myself, I'm the worst kind of trash?
Seriously, guys ... at least make an effort in your arguments ... 🤣

Will you be complaining about how 'unfun' it is that they taking away Slugging when survivors get basekit unbreakable?
Slugging is fun for the killer, you get to watch the survivors suffer for 4 minutes! Fun!

Is the bully squad member mad they can't bully the killer one way anymore?
13 -
Some people... 😂

try convincing dbd players of that PepeLaugh
1 -
Some people are really special.
You know that you talk about a interaction with another player right. If it was something you could do with nemi zombies no one would care but I guess it would not be that funny if there is no other player suffering right?
1 -
killer suffering is the pinnacle of SurvivorMain™️ gameplay.
2 -
too bad so sad.

RIP bully squads 😂😂😂
3 -
PLEASE please keep posting these. All of you. They are hilarious

Killer mains still believe the "fun" from playing as survivor is holding m1 on a gen
1 -
Well it surely shouldn't come from ganging up on/chain incapacitating the killer.
This isn't Friday the 13th where you can knock out the killer to no end.

Locker saves need to go. There is absolutely no counterplay if abused by two coordinated survivors.

Here is my story: as a Pyramd Head main my greatest joy in life were the very rare, but utterly devestating double KOs at an unsafe unhooking via POTD. This was an extremely rare occurence, since all had to be perfect: 1) you had to be there in the vicininty, 2) the unhooker needed to be injured and sorta unaware of the danger, 3) you needed to have the perfect angle to hit both AND send out our POTD shockwave in the perfect moment to hit the unhooked survivor the moment they touched the ground. Maybe not frame perfect, but any longer then a couple of frames and one or both could dodge or you would just hit the unhooker.
If done correctly you would down both survivors in one fell swoop. While the feeling of pulling this off was great, I instantly pitied them for I know how a devestating blow to their teams moral this must have been. Save to say that I saw quite a couple of DCs at this instances. Nowadays this ain't possible anymore due to the basekit BT buff to the unhooked survivor. Sure, you can still hit both of them, but only one of them will go down, while the unhooked survivor gets away and has to mend. This also massively favors the killer, but in essence is just a normal bad trade, and not a deathblow to the whole team.
So while my "fun" at playing Pyramid Head was diminished with this changes and this kinda situations will never present themselves again, I totally understand that its better for the game health and leads to more fun games. It was very situational to beginn with, and whiloe it was an expression of my skill, its probably good that its gone and replaced by a more healthy bad trade.

BHVR is fixing a number of exploits. This is just one of them. Why would it be bad to remove something that can be easily abused in a way that has absolutely 0 counterplay?
Earlier this year they "fixed" Skybilly for presumably the same reason and Blight's hug tech will be fixed eventually as well.
1 -
You don't spell "bullying" as "f-u-n". It has a few more letters than that.
6 -
This needed fixing to be fair. They do need to make Survivor not a tedious and horrendous experience most of the time though to. But right now they are pretty dead set in dumping in Killer buffs and Survivor nerfs in an attempt to make sure all the other asymmetrical games die off cause they are keeping their killer fanbase overjoyed giving them probably 90% kill rates when DC's and suicides are factored in.
This flashlight thing was rare as hell, but it needed to go.

So if they don't have those, they're just resigned to their fate?

Camping Bubba has counterplay. Locker saves don’t
1 -
Lol.
0 -
People, don't try to defend the locker technique.
It's clearly something that needs to go. There's no arguing with that.
So, sorry, you're not going to be able to bully the bad killer anymore by choosing the most appropriate map, but maybe it will make you realize that it was no fun for the him.

Bringing a perk to counter it isn’t something you can do once the match has already started.
If I see flashlights in a lobby, I know that as long as the survivors don’t attempt locker saves, I am perfectly capable of playing around those flashlights without the help of any perk. But I can’t go back and change my perks later once I see what the opponent is doing. Perks can counter this strategy, yes, but a perk should never be treated as “true counterplay”, eg. there should be something the player can do with their base abilities.

Killers also don’t wanna waste perks slots on something bully squads are gonna abuse so there’s that.

Laughs in dredge as you get pulled out of the locker
0 -
Yeah bro it takes a lot of skill to hold M2 and aim at a static face thats locked into an animation.
1 -
If you played killer, you would see how annoying and unfair locker flashlight saves were to deal with.
0 -
I'm sorry, I didn't know holding down m1 and aiming slightly up was considered "skill"
1 -
Yeah, and you guys whine and complain when we do bring the counterplay for those niche techniques, there's no winning for killers
1 -
Su... survivor nerfs? Bruh, they are literally introducing basekit unbreakable, and the DC factor isn't killers fault, it's survivors for not playing the game through and putting up with the trial
0 -
There is absolutely zero skill involved in the locker blinds. The fact that you referred to it as "skilful" is frankly hilarious.
