Endurance off hook is a problem.
It's so stupid that a player can body block off hook and their unhooker can get away with unhooking for free.
I'm tired of playing nice and not tunneling and getting denied anyway. I'm tired of being expected to body block when I'm unhooked then tunneled out because I was body blocked by my own teammate expecting me to protect them. Unhooking should be a risk for the unhooker and never for the killer or the unhooked.
Instead of basekit BT, unhooked survivors should be given up to 10s of no collision, no interaction with anything but the environment, as if they just took a hit. Because they'd be invincible, they also wouldn't be allowed to do anything productive like throw pallets, use flashlights/flashbangs, or interact with survivors or killers at all for the duration. Conspicuous actions would of course end this immediately.
BT/Off The Record would then start after the basekit no collision wears off, giving it's bonus protection as usual.
Defensive, anti-tunneling perks like BT, Off The Record, and the basekit endurance should not be used offensively. They should protect those that are actually being tunneled but shouldn't be able to weaponized against the killer and shouldn't be a "Get out of jail free" card for unhookers.

It's all about how Survivors use them and how the Killer reacts to seeing it
If the Survivor wants to bodyblock then hit them activate the Deep Wounds and continue the chase... it's what they get for bodyblock in the first place

I don’t see a problem, nor have I had one playing killer or survivor. This just sounds like complaining.

Well I don't even hit them. Bodyblocking takes time. It's most often just easier to wait out BT for 1 hit down. But to be frank, survivors don't body block me like this very often. Because they know it's very risky

just tunnel them out. theyre literally asking for it
if you want to play nice then make this the condition that removes all niceness
4 -
Ok... it's the Killer's choice

sure enough. But as a survivor main (that still plays both sides) I tell you it's 100% fair to go for body-blocking person. He asked for it. He threw away his protection to protect another one so it's his fault when he goes down because of it
1 -
That's the point I wanted to get across
2 -
If you are patient enough the body blocker will wiff, its not that easy to do it perfecly (the body block), once he is out of the way go for the unhooker, simple.

Camping and tunneling is the worst (and most rewarding) it has ever been. Killers don't need even more leniency near the hook. They need punishments.
Leave the hook and play the game and you won't have this problem.

If the unhooked survivor bodyblocks, just tunnel them out.

This whole "well then just tunnel the body blocker" mentality is why this endurance is a problem. It promotes unhealthy gameplay and the 10s does NOTHING to stop tunneling anyway.
0 -
What's the problem exactly? The person wasted the speed boost from the unhook endurance by staying by the killer to body block. There's nothing unhealthy about it and it's not really tunneling because the survivor forced the killers hand.
If you don't want to get tunneled off hook, don't just run at the killer.

BT basekit is meaned to give you chance to get somewhere loopable after being unhooked. The alternative is to die 0.3s after being unhooked (aka survivor farming). At least with basekit BT you get chance to have 1 good chase. Possibly full chase if you take OTR and killer does not hit you immediatelly

I prefer just not having any protections on unhook basekit, but no collision then BT is out of the question automatically.
You with the follower act of playing nice is just a personal problem.

so you would prefer to be camped and downed immediatelly after unhook - even before you are allowed to take single step forward? Weird
0 -
Not that weird. I main(ed) killer after all and there is a reason borrowed time exists.

Ah. So you want to abuse this as a killer. Got it
1 -
There's nothing to abuse unless you want to include player behavior.
If the survivor wants to unhook in front of me, that's a there problem. Not mine.
If the survivor unhooks me in front of killer I'll hope they brought in BT. Nothing i can do to stop them.

So it's survivor's fault killer camps. So you want us to return to the state where BT is mandatory or soloQ is total nightmare because they will farm you like crazy.
No this is so unfair and game breaking. BT basekit was one of the best things that devs could have made. It's not survivor's fault that he can't play the game after 1st hook. Giving him some ability to play is only fair. Otherwise let's bring something unfair to killers too - say permanent sabo on hooks (no hook respawn). How would you feel about that one? And you can bring iron grasp/agi to take someone to basement so it's the same as your requirement for BT

It is in fact many of times it is the survivors fault a killer camps.
BT basekit is one of the worst changes they've made. Now I won't say it isn't useful for the current state of the game, but I won't say I like it.
The Infinite sabo was an actual legitimate problem, so trying to equate those 2 things is hardly a fair example.

HOW IS THAT NOT FAIR? Killer being able to kill you without ANY counterplay? Just by killer deciding to camp? It's EXACTLY the same as survivors deciding to sabo all the hooks and then never going near basement. 0 counterplay against 0 counterplay. How is that different?

Hooks not coming back was an old thing the devs had going on. Those hooks being gone was an actual problem. Killers who camp are much less of a problem than that. Now I do admit there should be something to help out, but I still can't say imma big fan of BT basekit.

How else would you like to fix it? BT basekit is also not ideal, because against true camper, you immediately loose OTR which means it's wasted perk slot. And it sure was a problem that BT to very high degree fixed

It is not easy to split those scenarios. The game is loosing a bit of the his horror vibe to become more and more of a sport. And if there is someone to blame its not the developers (I ll leave it to you).
That said. All these things, while they look ugly to watch, they are not even as strong as you claim them to be. Try other killers and find one that clicks with you. Someone that can benefit from that is definitely Plague. Infected survivors with no endurance will have no where to go :)
