Will The Pig tome outfit ever return?
I was wondering if there was ever a chance we'd see it again, because her tome outfit is actually really cute and it'd probably make me play her more.
I could have easily gotten it, but then Elden Ring happened and it was frankly just out of my hands at that point. I'd say that's worth giving a second chance for.

Tome outfits usually return after about a year into the shop and can then be purchased for shards. For example we just recently got the colorful Clown outfit (and prolly a much more drap recolor of that in the last rift) or the much requested Never stop slashing Legion outfit with the important Vandal dagger.

It'll return as an auric cell only outfit for a limited time (they re-define it as 'seasonal' so everyone defends this practice)

Was that, like.. his special outfit from his Tome, or was it an incidental outfit from another one?
And you can (rightly) call out those practices all day, but those fishnets don't lie.

The Cartoon Special outfit was in rift 8 and now returned. Rift 12 got a re-color of that outfit as Jesterfied and will probably return to the shop in 2023.
The Legion outfit Never Stop Slashing was longer absent and firstly appeared in rift 5.

Metal.
Wonder if her outfit would show up again in the Rift.. she's licensed, so probably not, but hey.

Yes, they do. But I bet it will be in 2023 and for cells only.

I literally haven’t seen one single person in those threads about the Halloween cosmetics actually defending this practice? Though I guess i stopped looking into those when it was obvious the vast majority is against it.
For licensed characters, it will be auric cell only. They even put their tome outfits in the paid track even though the main characters of the respective tome usually get their outfits in the free track iirc

I didn't know about all the specifics. Thanks for the clarification.

I guess there is also Bill - a licensed character that is part of the base game and whose rift cosmetic is only available for shards. But that’s just a special case because of Valve..

I keep having this weird moment of disconnect where I suddenly remember Bill's a licensed character and just get suddenly jumbled.
Like I've played him so long and he fits so well I don't even think about it, and then I remember "wait, he doesn't belong here" and my brain pretzels itself.

For real. For all purposes he is part of the base set of characters and no DLC and I actually have the same weird disconnect in my brain.

'Because it's not that big of a deal to most people. To you and others on this forum it might be, and that's fine. This type of thing doesn't even register to the casual player. Halloween skins being available around Halloween sounds pretty normal, not like some evil plan to steal people's money.'
'If they were not Halloween related items, I'd agree. But you have your right to your opinion, just as I do mine, and my opinion is that that Halloween content being limited to Halloween isn't a big deal.'
'They are deemed Halloween skins, so they will be back next year. Its really not a big deal, if you want them buy them, if you don't want them, then why does it matter if they are only there during the Halloween season?'

In fairness, I would argue that any cosmetic is not a big deal.

Well.. I would not say those are defending the practice but okay, I see what you mean now.

It will probably return one day, from BHVR viewpoint is something that requires zero investmement or workload, the work is already done, from Saw license holders if it lands in the store is money without lifting a finger plus they seem eager to have content added to their license, I dont see a reason why they would veto it.
That being said, Im willing to bet its going to be Auric Cells only as almost all licensed characters except Bill.

I'm sure it'll come back. Bill's outfit came back, and that was the last bit of uncertainty in my eyes, imo.
Right now they seem to be around tome 8-9 in their rerelease schedule, so I'd wager she's somewhere in the relatively near future.
