I suspect he'll be buffed in some ways but nerfed in more.

I'm sure they will. Even survivors say that it's a boring holding W simulator. That tells you that a killer is actually bad.

Hopefully. But if they Buff his Patrol-aspect, they should also nerf his Anti-Loop. So that he is not played like a slightly weaker version of Artist at Loops.

One thing that does need looking at is, once the summoned spectre finds a survivor and initiates a hunt, a survivor just needs to run through the spectre whilst it's looking to set its standard and the chase is already lost somehow.
It needs to immediately set the standard upon detection and initiate the hunt. That engagement needs to be much quicker, I feel.

This is going to sound like too much, but too bad.
- Guards need to immediately set their standard down when they see a survivor. Moving towards where they spotted the survivor is mostly useless.
- Guards need to collect intel from Knight himself. Basically, if the Knight sees their target, it uses that info for path-finding. This would alleviate some janky situations where the Guards get stuck or lose sight in situations where they shouldn't. It would also prevent some issues where Guards just run in circles.
- Survivors should not see the visible trail that shows where the path of the Guard will be during the summoning function. This just tells Survivors to run before the Knight finishes summoning.
- The visible detection ring around Guards is in a similar situation, though I kind of understand why it's there. I'd rather give them a Terror Radius than a visual indicator, though. This would also give the Knight some interesting interactions with TR related perks.
Even with all of this, the Knight would still basically be a less powerful version of Artist. However, some of the other possible uses of the Guards would become a bit more viable, so the possible playstyles would expand.

I am quite sure Wesker from ptb like got 3 or 4 buffs when he launched.
As for Sadako...let's not talk about her.
