The Dredge can't warp to a locker near the hook, but the nurse can


why is this? (I'm talking, of course, about the hook someone is hanging on.)

    Half the time the Dredge can't teleport near a gen either

    The question is: why would a Nurse want to teleport to a locker near a hook, does she have reason to believe there is someone hiding within?

    Funfact: when blinking through a locker you can see the survivor physically hiding within for a couple of frames.

    I think it is so you cannot just hold your teleport and wait for the unhook to immediatly be back but before it being out of 32 m range so for example Make your choice can activate... But then again Hag with one of her addons can do that as well... Should probably change the abilitiy to trap a hooked survivor...

    As for Nurse she would need both blinks to get the 32 m range to trigger Make your choice... Also her blinks are her travelling tools... Being unable to blink to some spot would enable safe zones around the hook... and also a guaranteed camp when the survivor just stays under hook and does not leave...

    Because the only way for Nurse to hit a survivor in most cases in by Blinking since she moves slower than them. Most killers if they see someone going for a rescue can just walk up to hit them with a basic attack. Nurse’s only option is the Blink unless she just happen to be standing right there already.

    Nurse can make considerable distance is a blink, but Dredge would be able to teleport from anywhere in the map if the lockers weren't blocked. Additionally, he has normal movement speed, whereas the Nurse's primary way of moving is via blinks.

    It will likely be some time before any changes are made to the nurse. The devs already have their hands full with the current DLC, and I imagine that they prefer to work on new things for the game in order to keep making money. I get the frustration, but I've seen God knows how many "Nerf/Remove Nurse" posts.

    Because Dredge's power is purely mobility. Nurse relies on blinks for everything.

    Dredge can teleport across the map. Nurse with double range can only make it 30m in a single blink.

    No she can't only Dredge can warp to lockers. Don't worry they won't add this feature to the Nurse.

    Mostly yes, she is fine... Some addons might be a bit too strong, but basekit nurse is fine...

    Artist can't use her power near hooks either. They've changed their policy for new killers and their powers around hooks, which is fine, but I wish they would standardize things a bit with the older killers too.

    The main reason to block Dredge from teleporting to a locker near hook is to prevent him from just hiding in a locker by the hook. It doesn't really stop dredge from teleporting back to an unhook.

    Blocking Nurse from teleporting near the hook would legit make her awkward to use on some maps with multiple floors.

    I've thought about it, and I'm pretty sure it's going to come down to what you're saying.

    I thought it would be nice if the movement was 4.1m/s instead of not being able to use the ability when around the hook, but that seems to create a new bug.


    I think that nurses should remain as they are now.

    Problem is that nurse relies on her power for everything

    Make her power unable to work neqr hooks and then hooked survivors become safe zones which is just silly

    Because nurse is nurse. But a more serious answer is that since nurse is 3.8m/s she can’t really have restrictions on where she can teleport to. Because she is more reliant on her power than any other killer.

    I believe that the 3.8m/s speed is what keeps all attacks on her basic.

    They need to be more consistent about killer powers working near the hook. Doesn't make sense you can't put a dire crow within 10ft of a hook but you can with a hag trap.

    It's particularly annoying with artist bc I just want to start shooting birds at whatever shows up on BBQ right away but I have to waddle off someplace else first. Meanwhile Lisa gets to set up a 10-course trap buffet all along the basement stairs.

    Camping would be a very inefficient way to play Nurse and Nurse is reliant on her power to even catch up to survivors.

    Hiding in a nearby locker and getting a surprise hook grab as Dredge would not have realistic counterplay and be completely op levels of efficient.

    That's the reason. Dredge can also pre charge their power and teleport to a locker the second an unhook occurs.

    The reason is BHVR want to avoid Camping/Tunneling as much as possible that they will prevent you from making devilish killer moves in favor giving survivors a chance. It creates a false double standard, problem is Nurse, Billy and Bubba are already out.

    if they recreated those killers today, expect an engine problem mechanic when revving near a hooked person. or OUT OF BREATH for Nurse.

    I want to create a big post about this problem as really hope they make Killers that dont flap dead when near a hooked, cause i think that just makes the killer worse.

    Nurse moves slower than survivors so... she kinda has to use her ability to get around.

    Nurse is weird, with long range addons she can be a pest but without shes too easy to beat so it's an awkward spot
