Issues with RPD
It’s an absolute maze and a horrible map. It’s extremely survivor sided IMO. Thousands of hallways and exits and whatever. Behavior even realized this and had to split it up into 2 parts. I hope RPD gets removed the same way Hawkins did. Just absolutely miserable. Hawkins wasn’t even that bad. I’ve also noticed Lampkin Lane has endless loops as well. Survivors run the same loop over and over and over again. It’s like watching a movie over a hundred times. It just makes me say out loud, “here we go again.”

Don´t DC.
RPD is cool.

It is very survivor sided but not impossible to win on but I get why people dislike it when playing killer.
I didn't like it for survivor either but it grew on me the more I played on it but I guess it would since it is definitely survivor sided.

... only three more escapes and I finally got this abomination that is "Outbreak Breakout" :V I hope that they never repeat something like this.

RPD has kinda grown on me since the rework. way more navigable and less places you need to patrol. I would say its a fairly balanced map but that depends on what killer youre playing

Don't worry, that's normal.
It's easily the worst map in the game and should be removed.

It’s not survivor sided anymore. It starts with a built in 3-Gen every time.

Ugh I hate that Outbreak Breakout is a trophy
2 -
Not sure I would agree that alone makes it killer sided though.
6 -
I feel the same way. I hate it both as killer and as survivor

RPD has two strong pallets on either variant. The rest are unsafe. West Wing is slightly better than East Wing for survivors but both variants still lean killer, with small patrol zones (including the inherent three-gen) and few strong pallets/loops.

It’s sad that so many people are unable or unwilling to learn navigating on a map. it took me 2 days to learn to play on RPD, it’s not hard 🙄
5 -
learning the map really isnt that big of an issue, the issue lies with tight corridors and making multiple killer powers simply not work because of it
6 -
RPD now is for me the same as RPD before : a huge maze I like neither as survivor nor as killer.
Well, with one redeeming aspect. It's a phenomenal Hag map.

Exactly...I thought Lery's was bad with Huntress but RPD took the cake. Granted I'm still brushing the rust and dust of my Huntress :3

After a rework I kind of like the RPD, though it is the only map that I got performance issues on XBOX S X (FPS stutter).

Just play it out. It's insanely survivor sided still, but it is what it is.

I don't see it. What about this map makes 3-genning easier? And it's not as if 3-genning is this infallible strategy.

I don't think it's a maze and the gen locations are always really predictable. Especially now there are two of them in the main hall which are within sight of each other.

Oh no I don't like this map..DC! Oh it's a killer I dislike..DC! Oh I got downed first..DC! Killer have Franklins..DC! Rainbow charm on hook..DC!
Survivor DC rule book 😀

No, RPD is poop.
But DC'ing is more poop.

I have been noticing RPD way more often then usual. Does MMR give the disadvantaged side a map advantage?

Since the rework it's gotten a bit easier for me. to the point I can easily cut off survivors/not run straight into killers trying to cut me off. Once you figured where the important landmarks are it gets easier (e.g. the stairs down behind the left archway on the mainhall (when you look at the statue) or the stairs off the roof lead to where the basement can spawn. it's either under the stairs or down the stairs from the room with green wallpaper and an exit

I don't understand how this map is survivor sided. To me its one of the most killer sided maps in the game

Do your best and earn as much bp as you can.

Maybe try to play it a few times with friends or with bots whenever that update drops? Once you learn the map, it's a lot of fun to play on!
Unless you're a rare Billy Main... but BIlly's have trouble on most indoor maps 😅

Very safe pallets, extremely large map and a lot of Killer powers are nigh unusable on RPD.

rpd grows with you and you grow with rpd.
at the beginning it is an unmanageable jungle. then you get to know the map and it's not that bad. then you realize how insecure most obvious loops are. then comes the revelation that there are snail shell loops (one runs in ever smaller circles) that one can run. they are not safe either, but they cost the killer a lot of time and most of them let go before the end of the loop.

Most of the pallets on RPD are unsafe; in fact I can think of only three safe pallets across both East and West Wings. Also because the devs opened up a lot of rooms & halls they pretty much broke up all of the god loops. And both variants are now smaller than Red Forest, Eyrie of Crows, and the Coldwind Maps. Also the map always has a 3-Gen every time it spawns.

The map is also two stories which makes it bigger, the three gen has long site lines and is easy to break and I can think of several god pallets on that map

There are only two god pallets, Pulsar. And one of them is right beside the LOS 3-Gen—which is very easy to patrol. In fact, I’d offer that any killer just not bother with anything but maintaining that 3-Gen. You’ll win.

God pallet by the helicopter crash hallway to the left of the Jill @ 4:47. Only spawns on East Wing.
God pallet in the main hall @ 3:45. This will always spawn.
God pallet in this office @ 1:33. This will always spawn.
God pallet in the safe room @ 1:09. This will always spawn.
God pallet by the entrance to library on the 2nd floor @ 3:12. Only spawns on West Wing.
God pallet in the back hallways near the flooded bathroom @ 5:48. Only spawns on East Wing.
The video I'm going to link is from the PTB and some things have changed from the PTB to Live, but those are all the god pallet locations for both versions of RPD.
Here's a video:
Also, on the subject of the main hall 3-gen area... You have LoS on Survivors. They have LoS on you. They can start running very early and unless you're running some hefty gen slowdown, you lose that exchange.

The pallet near the downed helicopter isn’t a god pallet; it almost boxes/traps the survivor there. The AC unit isn’t long/wide enough to really stop the killer from mindgaming, and going into that hallway right of the pallet isn’t good because it’s blocked off by debris now.
Main hall/lobby pallet—yes, that is one of the god pallets.
Safe room. It can be a good pallet yes; I’m not sure I’d call it a god pallet though. Before the wall was broken, it kind of was.
Library. Not a god pallet; can be mindgamed and leads to a dead zone. It’s strong if you stun the killer and use Balanced Landing after escaping through the home in the floor, though.
Flooded bathroom. What makes this a god pallet to you?
0 -
Not the one on the AC unit. There's one inside of the hallway to the left of the crash.
If you get mindgamed at the safe room pallet idk what to tell you.
I'm not talking about the pallet in the library, I'm talking about the one in the hallway outside of it.
@ 4:06 of this video, there is now a pallet at this table. If the Survivor drops it, you HAVE to break it.

:-)
I can live with that.
DCing is always mega poop.

I’m not particularly fond of it, but this map is amazing for Trapper. I can 4k here 9 outta 10 times.
On the flip side, I actually hate playing this map as survivor…I cringe whenever I see someone brought the dreaded offering for it and always secretly hope, if one of us doesn’t make it……….

Safe pallets that once they are broken the area is a complete dead zone

👍️ RPD and Midwich are the two best maps in the game. I use all my Bloodpoints to get map offerings for these two maps on both my Killers and Survivors. With Demo and Scratched Mirror Myers, the two maps are a huge advantage and on the Survivor side, I always use the Balanced Landing perk so I absolutely love the two levels on these maps. I only wish they had not reworked RPD and removed that staircase with a catwalk on the top floor - it was such a great escape route / safe zone for healing.
