Sometimes the animations bug out like this; it generally seems to happen if the ping between Wesker and the Survivor is bad, or if the geometry you're getting thrown into/smashed against is a bit awkward.
Vaulting a window, or a pallet will fix it, as will being downed.
Wesker definitely has a lot of bugs with his power still. It's probably to be expected given his power and the inconsistent way BHVR makes maps, but it'a still a bit disappointing given how buggy the first RE chapter was.

This experience was the highlight of my dbd day getting tunneled all matches or having trolling teammates. I got a laugh out this, though it seemed that I was the only one seeing Mikaela's impression of Aladdin's carpet
