Most hated maps as killer
Slowly over time I've gotten to really hate the meat plant and most recently Midwich.
I'm actually at a point now where if I get any of these 2 maps I'm just going to camp the first hook until they decide to sort these maps out.
A person can literally run the killer for 5 gens on meat plant without even coming close to going down because of the insane amount of pallets.
Midwich why even bother trying to get to the hook when half the time you just have to drop the survivor. 1 person with breakdown could effectively render quarter of the map off limits to the killer.
I really used to hate RPD, but since the reworked version is definitely not as bad. I still don't particularly enjoy it, but it's playable unlike the other 2 I mentioned.

Eyrie of crows.

The game gives me Eyrie every time I want to play Ghostface, so I'm not too fond of the map.
I strongly dislike Red Forest as well, but this time because unless I'm running range addons on Hag, 10 traps is miserable on such a big map. (I know Eyrie would be worse on Hag, but thankfully, the game does not hate me that much as to put me there when I'm queueing as her).
1 -
Yeah I'm not that fond of Eyrie either tbh.

The Garden of Misery is just a totally screwed up map,too big,too many things to get hung up on ,the green house is awful loop and I won’t even go in the house. Also any map survivors bring offering for.
2 -
That is so hard to trap on the maps like Eyrie or Game because there is no grass...
In the Game you still can put them by the edges of the objects or doors and they will be a good traps, but in Eyrie of crows not only there is no grass, but you just have no idea how to place a traps outside of survivor's line of sight. It's just so hard to do. They will notice any trap and try to trigger it and instantly run away.
You just can't place efficient traps without having them be at the open for the eyes. Completely adds to the difficulty of the match.
I was playing so many times as a hag on that map... Holy hell, so many losses tho, never give survivors a chance to get a gen in the main building if you play as a hag. This is one way to lose quickly.

The meat plant is pathetic. I chased one person on purpose once to see how long it would take to down them. 5 pallets for first hit. All god pallets. 4 more pallets to down them. As I picked the survivor up the 4th gen went off. I threw the game on purpose because I was just curious to see if 1 survivor could just throw down god pallets all game and have all 5 gens pop, almost!
3 -
That's two maps I thankfully don't get often as Hag !
Some maps without grass can be good, RPD is phenomenal in my experience, and Meat Plant is manageable, but yeah, Eyrie sucks in that aspect.
I'll remember to protect the central gen next time I'm sent there, thanks =)

The Game for me - even as a survivor in all honesty. It feels very auto pilotey a lot of the time - I just don't find chases interesting as either side on that map.

I actually hate the gas station. Garage gen is almost always free. Totems are generally easy to find. Gens seems pretty far apart so hard to establish a 3 gen. Giant stack of car walls means I can only from one side or the other.

How have your recent games been Hug ?

Not that I play killer much but
Erie- honestly too big and too safe, most tiles you can react on the pallet vault or be seen over so it's no mindgame plus stealth killers and trapper just mega hurt on it
Giddeon, hello pallet breaking simulator. Honestly no basic attack killer should win on this, it's so easy to play as survivor and 99% is safe
Midwhich- I dunno alot seems to be just run forwards in a square and less looping.. I like looping
Mothers dwelling- too big
You know theres actually alot of maps I dont like for each there own reason lol. I think alot need changes even if they just slight so each killer can feel good on them... but I dont see that happening and I'm a survivor main so doesnt hurt me, sorry killers...

I haven't been able to play this week unfortunately !
Did a couple of Ghostface games last weekend, but nothing groundbreaking. I did try out Nemesis for a daily and got called a wallhacker for using I'm All Ears to get tentacle hits, which was quite funny. I do miss my twig lady, I'll try and have a few matches with her soon, or else I'll get too rusty =D
How have yours been ? =)

The Game - So many safe pallets. Its obnoxious.
Cowshed - This map is a nightmare in every way. Too big, too many safe loops. Awful.

Well I'm the type of player that it doesn't matter which map I get I'm going to make the most of it...
But... RPD (haven't played the re-worked version yet)
I'm numb to Eyrie at this point
Same with The Game (meat plant)
And Midwich
Dead Dog is one that I don't like... but I won't AFK or anything when that map comes up

RPD and Lerys are on top... I'll just go protect the basement chest everytime when those maps come up, no matter the killer... I just cannot be asked to play them...
Eyrie of Crows, the Game, Midwich, Haddonfield, Garden of Joy are all terrible as well, but most of the you can at least try to have chases... The problem with getting places is the same on the game and midwich as in the two aboved mentioned maps... So they're all pretty bad as well...
Dead Dawg is just boring because everyone will just run to the main building and then you have to let them leave because otherwise you will throw the match just to get that one person...
Special mention goes to cowshed... The map is so busted it is hillarious again... I always laugh when people manage to go down on that map when I'm playing an M1 killer... Because there is no way that should happen... You need to be really bad at the game to ever go down against an M1 Killer von cowshed... Prove me wrong xD

Play Dredge, Doctor, Ghostface, Myers or Nurse then.
Gideon and Midwich will become your favourite maps.
It's all swings and roundabouts.
0 -
I play 4 of those and still will never like those terrible maps...
0 -
Grim Pantry/Pale Rose are the ones I never enjoy seeing
Also don't like Coldwind maps and Dead Dawg because I find it hard to see in first person with all the yellows, oranges, and brown
I haven't done too badly with Garden and Eyrie as Blight considering all the collision problems but they still suck

Suffocation Pit. 4 Jungle gyms in the middle section, back to back as a requirement in codes generated is stupidly awful. I get nightmare from this map.
One side is shack, other side is building with two windows and lot of pallets at side too.
We have middle infested with jungle gym and windows, another with pallets.
Suffocation strangled killers pit. Suffocation survivor's paradise!

Don't hate on maps. Learn them. There are a lot of maps in the game. You will have better luck on the next one :)

''I'm actually at a point now where if I get any of these 2 maps I'm just going to camp the first hook until they decide to sort these maps out.''
This sounds fair enough to me tho.
X killer
in Y map,
4 items,
one person comes to take chase = tunnel/proxy camp (for me).
Survivors can still do their thing and get a 2k, but against strong teams, this is the most efficient strategy.
And it's done for win streaks as well (by known youtubers and streamers).
Ex. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKEcnKNEE6Y&t=215s
He won by grabbing people out of hooks, by camping.
0 -
Well, I can argue with that. =)
There is nothing about learning them, I know ALL maps by heart, every single possible tile etc... But it's doing nothing for me, when I have to chase survivors for 2 minutes in eyrie of crows main building or suffo pit. You can't chase them otherwise, knowing the map does nothing!
Or dealing with chains of pallets because of bad RNG.

Oh I run Marys Letter when I want to absolutely dominate on Dredge. Never fails.

Been sticking with our main girl until I can practice other killers in bots when they come .
However with the last 10 games I've played only 2 have been atleast a 3k. The rest have been on horrid maps like cowshed , rancid, badham with absolutely no possible 3 gen from the very start.
1 -
I feel you !
The bots are coming very soon, it's gonna be so cool trying out lots of different killers.
Hopefully until then mmr does its magic, and the teams you're facing relax a bit ! ;D

Not all maps are redeamable, some are just bad design wise... Why would you not hate such a map? Also what exactly is there to learn about cowshed or the game? Liteally everywhere on the map are safe tiles...
0 -
Last 2 matches have been awesome at Midwich ! Had fun even tho I had zero hooks on top floor lmao

Eyrie of Crow, Red Forest, The Game, Suffocation Pit, Groaning Storehouse, Blood Lodge (out of the eyes of M1-Killers)
0 -
Pretty much any indoor map. Lerys and RPD are the worst offenders. I really dislike maps that screw killers out of their power. And the indoor maps are designed in such a way that a lot of the killer skill curve is dampened. You're forced to follow in straight lines due to the layout and you can't take cutoff angles if the survivor is sentient. I'd rather just not play at all or not play that killer in the first place. I shouldn't have to burn a map offering to ensure that my time isn't wasted

From worst to most bearable:
1. Garden Of Pain (Garden Of Joy)
2. Pig's Pallet Plant (Gideon Meat Plant)
3. Eyrie Of Misery (Eyrie Of Crows)
4. Mother's Dwelling + Temple Of Purgation
5. Springwood (All variations)
Honorable mentions go to Father Campbell's Chapel and Groaning Storehouse.
1 -
Good luck with that if they bring Reassurance. It can be activated from directly above and below the hooked survivor. In the end, you might find it more productive to just learn the maps and bring Darkness Revealed if it's very frustrating for you. Most of the bottom of the Game and most of the entire Midwich map is near a locker.
0 -
There is nothing to learn about badly designed maps xD What are you gonna learn about a map wit 25 safe pallets? :D There is no weak place where you can lead the chase to xD I don't get this argument :D I mean yeah sure when you get lost on map learning the layout can help... But when a map has no weak area because it is just loaded with safe tiles what are you gonna do besides kick 10 pallets and hope the game is not over yet so you maybe can bring survivors in the deadzone you just created...
1 -
Actually, the Garden has grown on me as a killer or surv.
I will forever hate any version of Lampkin Lane especially. That many houses leads to forever loops.
1 -
Worst: Eyrie of Crows. Really strong main building, map is huge, too many strong pallets, ridiculously inconvenient boon spots, etc. I have genuinely never had fun on this map, even in the case that I win.
Garbage Tier: Every Badham, Gideon, Garden of Joy, ~1/2 of the Coldwinds, RPD.
I'll still whine about it: Mother's Dwelling because it's too damn big, the other half of the Coldwinds because Corn is booty garbage.
1 -
RPD. i got it twice today, what an awful map.
1 -
Cowshed is an unholy abomination
Whoever designed this map, I wonder how they sleep at night...
Not but jokes aside, Cowshed is probably the most unbalanced map in the whole game - when the map gives survivors bad RNG, the map still plays itself but when the RNG dice land in the survivors favour, oh boy.
The whole map itself becomes one giant daisy chain. From safe pallet to safe pallet to good window and by the time its over, the match is over.
2 -
So surprised to see Midwich mentioned a lot, that's one map where I feel comfortable with pretty much any killer.
Garden of Joy and they Eyrie are some of the worst maps across the board, which is concerning as they are also the newest. Other realism tend to have at least one map that is just too large to control for the majority of killers... Fractured Cowshed, Gas Heaven, Mother's Dwelling. Suffocation Pit might get an honourable mention here as it's terrible RNG wise as the middle is sometimes way to strong but it's three-genable with some gens being in deadzone.

i have horrible cornvision (3rd world problems) so all the coldwind maps

Dude I know every map in the game. I hate those maps because they're really unfair to the killer. Doesn't matter if you can memorize the loops blindfolded, you still get out played because theres either to many pallets or you can't reach a hook!
0 -
What's to learn? That's maps are very basic and you actually don't really have to learn much and the layout at all. They're unfair because they have an insane amount of pallets or stupid hook placement.
Unless you're using a offering for either of those maps (why would you lol) then you're never going to be running darkness revealed, unless it's some meme build.
To be fair when I first started playing I did actually enjoy the meat plant, but that's only because I was playing impossible skill check doctor. Might actually give that a go again for the lols

That's the game. Some maps need to feel a bit more or less difficult to handle. I find them overall fair. There are some maps that your killer is gonna be op at. Some maps your killer will match less.
Suggestions to improve how you feel about this could be around the concept of matchmaking. So to avoid frustrating experiences with players way better than you (if they are way better, they deserved to win).
If you want to speak about something unfair you need to be extremely specific. Example : Hooks on Midwich Elementary School if survivors bring X perks. Or, Y loop in T map. There are maps that are better or worse for survivor's builds as well.

Last time kill rate stats per map were given Midwich had the highest Kill rate in the game. Also, Darkness Revealed can be quite effective. That's okay though; feel free to disparage trying anything new. I'm sure that will help.

I stopped caring about maps honestly. If I got a bunch of potatoes they can't be carried even by Garden of Torment. And if its a killsquad I'm genrushed anyway and they have plenty of resources unless I'm on Shelter Woods or something.
3 -
Garden of Joy. No notes.
The Game (though I have had my fair share of good games on there as well)
Eyrie of Crows (although I really dig the look)
Badham III and up. No notes.
Blood Lodge (mostly killer dependent)
Sanctum of Wrath (wrong guess about survivor spawns? that’s a gen gone, and another well on the way.)
Gas Heaven (solely because of those walls making map traversal just that bit more annoying.)
I also dislike Dead Dawg Saloon, but that’s mostly because I despise that one gen spawn on the main building’s balcony with a window betraying which way the killer is coming, combined with several mandatory breakable walls.
1 -
I use weird builds all the time and enjoy experimenting actually. I answering you back about learning the maps, like it was just a lack of knowledge in my behalf of not knowing where to go. I gave my reasons on both maps being unfair due to bad design through too many pallets or lack of hooks where you physically can't reach one even before any add-ons or perks are abused.
0 -
I also don't really understand how Midwich could ever be killersided considering it is basically the hold w map where you can just run around the main corridor for ages if you spot the killer early enough... And with the access problems of the map with up and donstairs... Besides the point where it is possible to just have no hook in range or hooks being blocked by smaller objects... so you cannot hook anyone there.
0 -
No problem, the hook placement can be wonky but Midwich is a pretty good map once you learn where all the shortcuts are. I'd give Darkness Revealed more of a shot especially if you're playing Huntress or Trickster.
It's older data now and the kill rates would have changed but I'd be surprised if the title of 'killing-est' and 'surviving-est' map has changed. If you know where all the access points are it's an easy map to get around on and it's easier to patrol due to being a smaller map.
