So a second Silent Hill chapter is possible?
Now that we officially get another Resident Evil chapter, how high do you think are the chances for a new Silent Hill chapter?

There is rumors 3 new Silent Hill games on the way. (Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill Telltale style story game and Silent Hill 9)
So maybe we can see another Silent Hill chapter for remind franchise to more people.
Harry and Mary should be main survivors and for killer i would go for Walter Sullivan

I could finally be happy again

I guess so but the legendaries make me doubt it. The only survivors they could throw in that anyone would want to see are Harry, Maria, Marry, and a few characters from 4. Actually I guess they have a good amount to work with lol. Walter would make a decent killer, I guess.

I'll shill out 60 dollars for a good remake / remaster of Silent Hill 1 2 and 3 even if they're 60 a pop.
Realistically though - What Silent Hill character would even be the killer? We already have Pyramid Head which is kind of hard to imagine given the story. I know there are some big options in SH but I don't see any of them fitting gameplay.
inb4 Eddie lol

Walter Sullivan. He is serial killer in Silent Hill Room and end game boss. He is best choice for killer.

I can respect that pick. Although wouldn't his power mostly be a blink of some sort and a gun? Or am I remembering a different character? Silent Hill 4 was the one of the first four I've played the least so memory is fuzzy on that one.
Just kidding about Eddie though good lord can you imagine.

Pinhead and Sadako never used any weapon, never hit anyone but here we are. BHVR found way to make them. I am sure they would find way for Walter too.
And Walter is not only the guy who using gun. He also has connection with Silent Hill gods (demons). He knows those dark magic tricks. So there is some powers he can bring.

For Walter Sullivan my idea was that he could place Haunts around the map with a terror radius themselves. If a survivor stands in this Haunt Terror Radius for ten seconds a ghost is spawned that chases them, the ghost moves at 110% speed and can go through objects but it only lasts 20 seconds. There can be three haunts on the map at a time. Add-Ons would give the ghosts effects, increase ghost movement of decrese nessesary time needed to stand in the haunt terror radius. I thought of a Joke-Add On called "Jaspers Chocolate Milk", It increases Ghost's movement speed to 115% but Decreases Ghost timer to 15 seconds. "Oh, Man, That was Awsome" -Jasper.

Who do you think should be the killer?,and not to mention Angela and Eddie 🤔 maybe

Aside from Walter? They could go with the incubus from 1 or the maybe Leonard Wolf from 3. If they wanted to get really creative they could try and make Alessa a manipulated killer. With SH2 being remade we could see a certain character that I will not name for spoiler reasons.

Just like the franchise, this thread is back from the dead!
Don't forget Claudia Wolf or The Missionary, they both attack people with melee weapons and Claudia has vague supernatural powers akin to Alessa's. Claudia was also referenced as maybe being alive in Heather's DbD lore, so they've done the groundwork there already.
Personally I'd love for a 2nd Killer to be Floatstinger or Incubus; just to confuse and mess with people who've never played the games. I have no idea how either would work, but the community chaos and memes on their reveal would be hilarious.
Walter, your SH2 person who is a spoiler, or Claudia would all be the most likely though, in my mind. They're all human(ish) and have vague supernatural abilities that BHVR could mess around with to create a fun power.

So, just saying:
The Silent Hill 2 remake is being done by a studio that has a... shaky history with horror games. They tend to get noticed a fair bit, but don't review well because the gameplay tends to be peepoo. Obviously, just copying SH2 shouldn't present as much of an issue, but a lot of people are still side-eying them, wondering what they MIGHT do to it.
Silent Hill F takes place in 1960s Japan. To make a point of this, it takes place BEFORE the events of Silent Hill 1. It also takes place before the events that SET Silent Hill 1 in motion. It will completely predate all lore from the actual games entirely. It is also being written by an author that PRIMARILY focuses on eastern horror. This is not a bad thing by itself, but it will be a major departure from normal SH tropes, which tend to mix eastern and western horror. It also already seems to rely a WEE BIT on knowing Japanese horror culture beforehand. The trailer shows a lot of a specific flower, which to a westerner, may just look like a flower. In Japan, however, it is very well known to be symbol of death. As such, it SEEMS Silent Hill F is specifically more geared towards a Japanese audience. Again, this doesn't mean it's bad or anything, just that it's not being written with westerners in mind.
There is another game going by the name Silent Hill: Townfall. Little is known about this one as of yet. That said, the developer has made horror games in the past with mixed reviews. Some really like their work, some don't. For me, personally, this one might be the blackhorse of the lot. It has a lot of potential to be s surprise hit, or a total nothing-burger.
BHVR (the devs behind such games as DbD, DbD, DbD, and DbD mobile) are working on a Silent Hill game that has a fluid story or something. The explanation of the game simply wasn't very clear. We know it has some kind of multiplayer functionality, but beyond that, it has something to do with everyone picking how the story goes(?). With this in mind, it wouldn't be surprising if they got to use any new big monster they made for that in DbD. This is the most likely outcome.

Bhrv (starbreeze) also made naughty bear, the darkness etc.

Seeing as this is the DbD forum, I threw that in there for fun, and didn't actually intend to say they only make one game.
They also made Eternal Crusade, which was basically dropped on release and left to die.
Also, BHVR is not Starbreeze. BHVR is based out of Canada, Starbreeze is based out of Sweden and are currently working on Payday 3. They are two separate companies. While Starbreeze definitely worked with BHVR, they do not share the same development catalog. Looking into it, I cannot find anywhere that lists BHVR as having worked on The Darkness. They have assisted many other studios and games, though.

Your wasting time, give me some monster options here,or would you rather see one come from the newer titles that's coming from Silent Hill?

This is a forum on the internet. Simply being here is wasting time. Also, you incorrectly listed BHV as also being Starbreeze and BHVR having worked on The Darkness. Neither of those were correct. Furthermore, Silent Hill Ascension, which is the SH game that BHVR is directly working on, is the most likely candidate where they will get a new monster from, seeing as they are directly working on it. They may go with a monster from one of the previous games, but Ascension would be the easiest target for them, as it will probably be much easier to use a monster they are already making for Konami.

Just give us White Hunter with a spear and a tight butt.

Nevermind the formalities, what monster would you like personally?

Memory of Alessa.
Valtiel tends to more work in the background and drags Heathers body away after dying. While I like the Bobblehead Nurses, I wouldn't really want to see them work outside of their normal mechanics. That would be too restrictive for players, though, and breaking the mechanics would feel like too much of a departure from the source material for me.
While the other games have their own big-bads, none of them hit quite the same as Pyramid Head.
Alessa, however, is integral to the plot of multiple games. She's basically the source of it all. Where Silent Hill REALLY got started. Memory of Alessa, which is a boss battle in SH3, is one of the few times we sort of see her more directly doing anything. A manifestation of what powers Silent Hill, or a least started the engine.
So, Heather Mason with black hair, covered in dried blood, burns, and stains all over her clothes. Holding a knife, and wielding reality altering powers and psychic abilities. Alessa is insanely powerful, insanely dangerous, and is also one of the most pivotal characters of the franchise.

While I'm not against the idea, that's basically Sadako?but we should get that as a skin for Cheryl, which I'm surprised this wasn't one of the beginning skins for in release.
Me I'm just curious to see who they will add if we get another silent hill chapter.
