KILL RATE
Is it possible to see October ''kill rates''?
A 1-month table is relatively trust worthy if not compared to other months.
We would like to see if the kill rate shown can be condisdered accurate, thank you :D

Monthly stats would be cool

Ready for the 70% Sadako killrate?😎

Unfortunately bHVR receives quite a lot of beratement, criticism and anger over stats.
Believe it or not, I has this dude on twitter argue to me that bHVR was trying to excuse themselves our of looking over Nurse because he felt the last batch of stats showed Nurse being on low killrate. ofc because of her high difficulty which we should all know by now. Im confident bHVRs sometimes mute relationship with stats is based on interactions from such individuals.
Even tho I love stats myself.

OP Sadako Yamamura 😆

🤣 that would melt my brain, like, just HOW?!

I agree. I think this could be a thing if people didn't attack or anger just because of it. The forums were on fire that week and were so us vs them. I dont think they want a repeat of that every month.

I'd rather never see stats again

There is this saying "never trust a stat you didn't make yourself" (and sometimes it's even "falsify" instead of "make"). - And it's very true. Statistics are very limited in what they can actually tell you. - And they are highly vulnerable to being analysed and interpreted in such a way that it supports what you want it to support. The can be due to ill intent, the former not so much; just the nature of stats.
Long story short: There's a great risk for BHVR every time they put out stats because there is only so much they can tell you but people love to try and get more information out of them than they can give. (and I personally am also somewhat sceptical of their stats because ... they're usually presented in a rather... sloppy way; highly susceptible to misinterpretation or just lacking a lot of information / not accounting for a lot of variables that make them borderline useless)

The problem is you got people that try and use the stats for there arguments like oh look the kill rates are so high then you point out nurse been the lowest and they are like oh that don't count. You have the reverse where nurse needs buffs because she's so low.

Don´t play Solo Q?
Or you are just too good :-)
For normal players Sadako is strong.

I do play only solo q or killer. I don't see strong sadakos that often at all.
1 -
Why?
1 -
It does more harm than good.
Everybody takes those stats far too seriously and starts fights over them.

They should include kill rates counting DCs as well.

I want stats, yes

There is always* going to be that kind of people. Numbers are numbers.
But if you only show 1 month it could be everything. Some killers kill rate could be totally off by 5% just by the samples. And it would be interesting if the 60% was kept or it went back down to a 55%.
It would be worth considering that if the kill rate gets higher than 60% consistently it is more likely they will take action against camping and tunneling. As it is fairly common to secure kills.

Monthly kill rate stat (or any game related stat) reveal = monthly flaming wars on the forum
Perfect popcorn entertainment 😈

See, you think it's entertaining but I think it's a headache.
Because inevitably someone will say something dumb and my dumbass self will not be able to resist commenting.

There are like 5 sadako players and 3 are really good. 70% More or less xD.
1 -
That's literally 99% of forum going.
If we could resist commenting on some dumbass post, we'd barely ever comment.

No they shouldn't because DCs are not Kills and that would cause idiots to DC more to cause Killer's "Kill" ratio to skyrocket leading to faulty stats leading to not needed nerfs. It was bad enough when The Patch came out every idiot and their kin were DCing and Suiciding on hooks to try and inflate Kill rates to cause the patch to be reversed....
In the end DCs should be their own separate stat....even then it wouldn't show much since people DC for the stupidest reasons

So they provoke discussion? Isn't that exactly what forums are for? Just because people disagree with each other doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
I personally think kill stats are useful, Overall killrates are just raw numbers and a bit skewed becUse they dont include DCs etc. But the recent individual killer rates give a good impression of game balance and how good individual killers are. Like helping dispel the sadako is bad myth when her killrates are actually among the highest.

I think greater transparency is a good outcome for the community. When data is hidden it becomes a bit of a "Trust us" moment which I believe does not keep them accountable to the players.
2 -
Stats aren’t the cause of fights, people get into arguments all the time over things we have no stats on at all.

Got it, the community shouldn't have that information. But really even if DC's aren't kills they lead to kills. If someone DC's first down their team is most likely going to lose (usually.) So don't include stats from DC's or matches with DC's? Anyway lets just keep releasing stats that don't count things that actually effect the playerbase in actual matches.

I heard from a reliable source that 66.6% of killers prefer French Press to Drip Coffee.

Not showing stats because people trash talk doesn't sound like a good reason to not, to me.
Showing stats monthly would make these stats more trust worthy. They have them anyway.

Sadako is easy af to destroy, but you are right, the average dbd player somehow dies to her, both of you are correct, sadako is weak af, but since even the top 5% players are still really bad at the game she will still get a good killrate.

Thats the thing I have seen on the forums and in game people DC for all sorts of stupid reason that are not linked to The Patch or even balance even.....Peoplr DC because they don't like the map, the Killer, if they go down first, if they are found first....the list goes on.
Also like I said the data would be flawed because let's look at just a out a month ago they disabled the DC penalties and look how many DCs we had. The information wouldn't show anything but how petty and childish the players who DC are.
