The thing I don't understand about "survivors vs killers" animations:
Basically: When survivors turning left or right they have such a complicated (realistic) turning animation, from upperbody to legs, but when killers turning left or right... Cough...Cough... Just watch:
It looks like they're standing on a some sort of "Turning platform", it looks... Hilarious, weird and something that you'd expect from 2010 games...
Some killers don't even have their legs animated while they wiping their weapons and moving... (Hag)
My question is: Why we don't have the same complicated (realistic) turning animations for both survivors and killers?
Why old killers don't have a proper leg animations while "Hitting and wiping animations".
It's the same game after all. But it feels like at least with animations survivors were made in 2022, but killers were made in 2010. -_-

Realistic?????????? Do you have any videos of a person doing a 360 in real life? I eagerly await a video of someone doing that “realistic” animation in real life.

I'm talking about when they turn left and right from the spot. (Only moving your mouse)
Survivors have a realistic (pretty much) animation when they turn left or right when they stand in 1 place.
But look at the killers, when they do the same, it looks like their whole model is just turning like on some sort of a platform.
This is what I meant, nothing to do with 360. =)

Yeah. It looks weird. It always was bothering me. Why killers, when rotating, has to move their whole body instead of just head... Arms and upper body should try to fit head at certain angle, when moving and when using M1/M2, and legs should keep after upper body at certain angle and when moving.

I would like to add to the discussion about 360 animation.
When a major update was made in 4.5.0, 360 spins became closer to "realistic" as we refer to them in this discussion.
However, quickly sensing the feedback, 4.5.1 eventually reverted to the "not realistic" weirdness of the current movement.
It seems that sometimes the reality we seek in DbD is affirmed and sometimes it is not.

?? What's so difficult about spinning irl??

Wow, he's literally impossible to hit.
Seriously though, it's likely to do with the red stain. The direction the killer is facing is a pretty key element for survivors to be able to tell, and complex animations could make it difficult to tell if you're in the killers FoV. Sure the red stain could follow the camera (head) instead of the model (legs) but there are cases where the red stain is supressed.

If 360s looked anything like that, people wouldn’t be complaining about them.

More than likely it is a result of different POV.
Killers can only see the direction their bodies are facing since they have a first person POV. They can still move in a differenct direction than they are facing but have to walk sideways or backwards to do it.
Survivors can have their bodies point one direction and look in a different direction so the more fluid animation is a result of being able to turn just the head.

Because the game is designed for Killers to be constantly moving.
Survivors may require small movements or sitting still in some cases, but more often than not, the killer has four other survivors to pressure which means they need to constantly move to deal with such.

No, I think it's because they didn't updated old killers animations yet, If you take a look at newer killers (Sadako, Dredge, Wesker, Knight) they do actually have a proper "Rotate animation".
The exact moment at 0:30

Survivor locomotion sucked, extremely bad.
