Do killers have diffrent range with M1?

Whenever i play sadako i often feel like her lunge is just not enough to hit afar, maybe im just too used with freddy, who feels like he has stretchy arms.


or is it just the animations being deceptive?

    Believe they are all the same distance, probably just feels different because she is so short.

    I actually have trouble looping with her sometimes because you can't even see over a short loop that the survivor can; which is a massive disadvantage. Only killer I think is as low was release Blight, and Hag

    Hag being small is an advantage for sneaky builds, however if you face a wall and they spin you have no idea where they go XD

    There's not really much of an advantage to playing her with a stealth build imo. Even if it lets you close the distance, at 110 almost every pallet in the game is safe so you are still relying on them running into traps, which doesn't really require any stealth to do.

    I used to be a pretty big proponent of monitor + abuse before survivors got as good at looping as they did. But there's way better options available now

    Some are hard to tell (annoyingly so) but they have all the same unless effected by powers or perks

    well i always run at least 2 gen regression perks but i find that the perk from Pyramid head which mutes your TR is quite nice with hag, since with call of brine and eruption you have to kick gens anyway.


    however i dont use that perk that often since it sounds way better on paper than it is on practice, its cancled as soon as they jump back on the gen. But then again i dont play hag that often either, mostly when i have daylies. She is kinda enjoying though, so not a case where i would refuse to play her.

    It's because you have good ping probably, try having a bad ping. You'll have twice the range from survivor POV.

    They are all functionally the same, but they often look different, feel different, and it really screws with me sometimes.

    Some feel "longer", "shorter", "quicker" or "slower" than others. I've had instances where I switched killers and immediately started whiffling like and optimized whiffing machine.

    I know it's totally a perception thing, but it does have an effect.

    good to know im not the only one, some really do feel weird. Especcially when you compare to your main killers.

    They're all the same except a few instances.

    T1 Myers is shorter while T3 is longer

    Nurse blink lunge is a slightly shorter

    Wraith post cloak is longer. I believe this is also true of Spirit and Legion (they also have an add-on to increase lunge time)

    Not sure about Blight rush lunge

    Oni dash I believe is shorter and Pig Dash is a lot longer.

    That's most of them though I may very well have missed a few.

    They are the same, but the character model size makes it deceptive.


    You would think that Pyramidhead, being taller with a long knife, would have a huge swing, but no.


    Likewise the much shorter Freddy with just razorblades on his fingertips feels like he can hit 10 meters away.

    They're all reskinned trapper machete. When you look at lunges always keep that in mind.

    If you use coup it makes it better.

    Coup, Fired Up, unrelenting I think? The one where there's no cool down from basic attack... and then your fave perk. I hate flashlights so you can guess which one I use.

    They're all supposed to be the same base amount, modified by some killer's powers and addons. In reality I've found that not to be the case, even when using killers of the same height. For example, when playing The Doctor I have to get right up on a survivor to land a hit, vs Trapper or PH.

    Because he is small and has a small weapon-model compared to other Killers (since he is basically only using his Fingertips and not a Machete or something similar).

    Animations mainly, except Myers, his lunge varies based on his EW Tier.

    Its the animation, except EW1/EW3 Myers, post teleport Hag and post blink Nurse all lunges are the same.

    I feel the same. There are times I'm legit convinced plagues lunge is shorter than other killers just because swapping from short killers to taller can ######### up my immersion

    Yea because his weapon is even shorter than the Legion-Dagger, so It looks weird sometimes.

    Sadako always confuses me when I watch streams form her POV (I don't own her), her M1 looks like it should have a much bigger hitbox, but it doesn't. I really thought she had increased range base kit.

    One could argue that Oni in Rage mode has a longer range only because he can hold the attack channeled for quite some time.

    All killers have the same hitbox.

    I believe the only exception is Blight. His is a bit wonky from the time they changed his height.

    They're definetely different with pinhead I never get hits throught pallets and it's very hard to hit spinning survivors. But however with wraith is easy to get hits through pallets and easy to hit spinning survivors. The difference is like night and day it's not just animation.

    The hitbox for lunges are all the same distance. Killers with smaller weapons appear to be going further, because BHVR added a thing so killers with smaller weapons will still visually connect so they get pushed closer to you to make their attacks visually land. Otherwise you get people complaining about unfair hits despite the hitboxes working fine.

    Nah, it is 100% the animation. If you notice any difference between Pinhead and Wraith, you probably have some problems with Pinheads quite unique weapon.

    I dont even mean this in a bad way, I had some problems with Plague when she was released, because she also has quite a unique weapon.

    It's lot shorter lunge too with wraith you can hit pretty far away but pinhead can barely hit half of that distance I don't think that just animation can explain it. But I have just stayed away from pinhead. Then there is freddy who get most bs hits.

    They're all exactly the same by base (no powers/addons/perks).

    Dont focus on your weapon or anything just try learn the distance you need to be away from the survivors.

    If you really wanted to push your lunge to the range where it can almost look desynced you can practice in the tutorial so the very last frame of your swing hit's an object. But it's not really needed just learning the rough range is good enough

    yea i know exactly what you mean

    sadako's m1 is a bit weird but once u get used to it, you will be fine 90% of the time

    tbh they should have just gave her some normal melee attack, because even now as i main her i still sometimes just miss

    tbh the only good thing about sadako are her animations lol

    i'm pretty sure the rage is the same exept for tier 3 myers, Freddy and sadako look like they have a longer range cause they are really small compared to other killers, also the lounge it might look longer if the killer have a higher ping than yours

    ONI?? LISTEN , nobody haS a longer hit range than my average 300 ping VPN killer from China in Uk servers late a night😂

    oh well then i think sadako looks shorter than freddy because freddy literally lounges his arm wile sadako just raises it a little bit or maybe i thingk buecause ( and in not sure about this one but it might be an explenation ) because freddy has the weapon that is his hand while sadako s symbol is detatched from her hand, so more room to fill on the hitbox
