Why are survivors allowed to stand inside of killer models after collision returns?

It's incredibly easy to do, requires to no effort and can provide an advantage whether survivors do it or not. If you take the time to look, the survivor you're after gains more ground. If you don't look you have to consider you're potentially letting survivors get away.

It would be fair to add a notification, like a white aura around the killer's camera when a survivor is within less than a meter of you.

If a survivor runs into the killer model during an interaction or after a hit, the killer has to decide whether to move away from that position and turn around to see if a survivor was standing inside of them or continue the chase knowing that they could be running from who they're chasing. The latter is often the better choice, but it all creates a distraction even when it's not being used. If it's ignored completely, survivors escape a chase for doing nothing.

I mean, you should be able to see a character that's literally touching yours. It's weird that you can't.

I think the more appropriate question is why do survivors lose collision with you after you hit them. I'm specifically talking about the scenarios where they completely corner themselves and they still get a 2nd chance even though they made a major misplay.

If you're looking for lore accuracy pretend they're crouching between your legs ala scooby doo.

Because of how bad the sounds are in this game, and because stuff like Iron Will and Off The Record exists, this can actually be a problem. The survivors disappeared off your screen, and you'd think that the killer would assume, "Oh, they're just inside me." But that's not always your first assumption, because even without Lucky Break or Off The Record, survivors just leave no scratch marks or sound sometimes. If that wasn't the case, we could mostly assume that the survivors were inside us, but because sound and scratch marks are still screwy, we have to waste time looking around like idiots. I get it, maybe we down the survivor a few seconds later after we realize that's what happened, but those few seconds can be game-losing for killer. Literally the difference between stopping the last gen or not. And what brilliant move did the survivors do to deserve this advantage? Just no-clipped into the killer, because they got hit. DBD's fine logic.

The number of times I've tricked a killer with this lame trick, sometimes healing inside him, is ridiculous.
