99% of flashlight players are not very good
Me included. That's why everytime I see more than one flashlight player in my lobby I bring my solo build cause I know they'll throw the game and even if I want to play Blashmine+Flashbang, chances are killer brings Lightborn most of the time.

That's exactly why I learnt not to bring Lightborn anymore when I see a lobby with 2-3 flashlights. They usually don't land a single save, and are overly altruistic.
I do commend them for wanting to learn how to use them though, it's a really fearsome item in the right hands.

I just bering Clairvoyance if I see what I suspect is a duo SWF with Flashlights. I mean I have been there, Flashlights with controller are hard,but I'm trying to practice Flashbangs saves. Yesterday i got my cleanest one yet against a Wraith saving Elodie and then she went down a few secs later. And when I got hooked I could see her self-care from the other end of the map😂

I've never learnt to use flashlights, in very low mmr they're like a beacon with "Please tunnel me !!" written in neon on it. At least, that's what I concluded after trying to bring them into games (not even actually using them...).
And I never really gave them the time of day since.
Now that the timing will be more forgiving, I might try and learn how to use them again. =)

With a keyboard it might be easier. Controllers are pretty clunky with aiming and needs a lot of set up to get into the right position.
Flashbangs are also flimsy.

The funny thing is that they just don't learn. Even when its obvious the killer has lightborn many survivors will still stand behind a pallet trying to blind the killer while they break it.

I had a random solo player flashlight save me 4 times in the same match the other day. Sometimes players with the flashlight mean business.

That many saves in a single match, yea about that often. However flashlight saves aren't as uncommon as you think. You may go awhile without seeing any successful ones but there are a lot of flashlight wizards in this game. Its all about timing the pick up animation just right so the iframes on the killer don't kick in.

As a fellow flashlight monkey I agree but it's because we've played the game so long that it's not fun to be serious 100% of the time and sometimes even if you get smacked it's fun to go for big plays, when you hit them it's epic lol I pulled off a blastmine CJ tech on a killer the other day and he sent me a friend request with big respect and we've been Swf'ng

I HIGHLY recommend using Fire Up as an "anti flashlight" perk. Considering how are gens flying nowadays, you gonna get a lot of value of the perk, and for the flashlights, it screws up the timing, so you can drive survivors insane xD
Lightborn? naaah, once they know you have it, they'll be glued to gens. Fire up will show them that they only screwed up the timing and have to try again and again and again xD nothing more enjoyable than watching their altruism kill them

Even better: bring Franklins. They are also big Goblins for their beamers and can't stant the thought of their precious rotting away on the ground. This leads to so many missplays, risky recoveries, 180°s when they should just W forward away etc. its actually Benny Hills style slapstick comedy.

99% are. It's the 1% that are a real menace. The 1% that knows you know so they position where they know you think you're safe. The 1% can actually change the outcome of a match, sometimes with just 1 well timed save.
I've never understood why people hate on beamers so much as F-tier items. Yeah most don't know how to use it, but skilled players can truly slay with em

from my soloQ experience:
good survivor with flashlight against a good killer = no saves, all pallets going to waste for blinds
bad survivor with flashlight against a good killer = no saves, no gens get done
good survivor with flashlight against a bad killer = killer disconnects not long into the game
bad survivor with flashlight against bad killer = the guy with the flashlight gets tunneld and its a 3vs1.

You are so right though... I was just thinking the other day that I may dodge lobbies where I have multiple team mates with flashlights. They almost always waste time chasing around the killer so they can (fail to) get flashlight saves instead of doing something useful like gens.
A half decent killer with a brain loves these players, as they get two people off gens just by chasing one and flashlight blinds are very easy to avoid in most instances.
This is why as killer you should not be scared of flashlights in your lobby, they are far less of a threat than 4x toolboxes or medkits

I'm also a flashbang user. I go for both Blastmine Flashbang AND Residual Manifest for end game.

You get a friend to run to your gen when they're about to go down and activate blastmine, they go down near the gen and as soon as the killer kicks it and eats the stun theyve already crawled under the killer and then I either stand inside the killer and tap the gen forcing the pickup on the survivor and get the save or I crouch on the opposite side of the gen and tap as soon as they're recovered from the stun and then get the flashlight save it's really not hard to pull off

I could probably get one and send it I don't have a YouTube or anything but one of my buddies I play with probably does and he has a yt I'll check there and post the clip I'm pretty sure he's got one of them from recently

This is a friend of mine I play with occasionally who's on console go to 2:55 and the clip starts there of the blastmine CJ , I need to start making clips of my own so I don't have to use other people's stuff to explain myself lol
