People are allready playing different killers

Worse case then when Artist came out. I bet I saw her on her realese day more than this Killer. On the other hand the new Survivor is the best seller from this chapter. I saw plenty of shirtless skins on him as well. I quess the best seller this time around will be the Survivor, while the Killer will be on the lower side.

I quess people don't like worse Artist that has less gameplay and takes way less skill.

    The patrol knights are just not threatening by themselves and the utility they do provide is not enough. Other killer powers that destroy pallets, also threaten to damage survivors to force pallet drops. Not having to kick gens is nice, but since it doesn't provide the 2.5% regression or work with perks, it's kind of bad.

    The guard pathing is shown to survivors so it's not really viable to make long paths either.

    The killer is a neat concept, but the power is very lacking and it's hard to find the best way to use the power since you can't really control which guard you send out. I don't even think having no control over the guard sent out is that big of a problem if the guards were better overall.

    I don't understand why they designed his power to be seen by survivors. By doing that it throws his whole tactical approach out the window, and instead turns him into just another Artist with his knights blocking a door/window.

    The only time I have ever struggled against Knight is when Im in some sort of corner. But that's a given since he can hold both areas to exit. But also like, Dredge can literally do the same, but better anyways.

    In most of my matches though, it has been easy. I cant believe some people were wanting them to be 4.4 m/s on Twitter, but to be fair, it's also Twitter.

    Not everyone buys new killers right away nor does everyone want to play them solely. After a few hours that’s not really a good basis to make assumptions based on how often you encounter them (besides I just played 3 surv matches and got knight twice..)

    though… power is pretty much like Artist and no one expected him to be more popular, did they?

    Good. He’s the most boring killer in the last year and a half. Artist requires more skill to play and is more interactive. There’s just nothing interesting about him at all.

    I jumped on to play a few survivor matches to see how bad it would be and got Artist, Ghostface and Pyramidhead in my first three matches

    I like the design and concept behind the knight but it isn't just that great in practice. You're supposed to use the guards for patrolling and area denial but they don't last long enough for a good patrol and they're just too slow/dumb to make for any meaningful area denial either. Seems like the best to use him at the moment is just a worse Artist really. Maybe there'll be good new trick that comes out that'll make him really good but I just ain't feeling it with this guy, he's just too telegraphed.

    He is way worse.

    I don'tlike Artist but I like her better than Sadako.

    And I'm not sure which is worse between Sadako and Tin-can.

    but… OP said people aren’t playing him anymore which isn’t entirely true (eg i got him in two of my three matches) - you can’t base a killers popularity just by how often one person is facing them a few hours after release was all I wanted to say.

    also, Artist isn’t exactly super weak/bad and is still pretty unpopular.

    I don't see how? From my one (lol) match playing as him it looked like you can deny a single loop no matter what if the survivor stays at it too long.

    Solid anti-loop, but needs to hit twice and has no mobility. That's B / C tier material. How you compare him to a pure M1 killer with no anti-loop is a bit beyond me.

    Well, this has been the case ever since Twins TBH. Mainly because the perks have synergy with other killers too. Its not that I dont like playing Knight, but I dont want to play the same killer for longer than 2 hours. So yeah, the first 2 hours you're only gonna see 1 killer, the rest is gonna be other killers with perks of the new killer, then normal gameplay again.

    The guards are useful for breaking pallets or gens, in a chase all you do is block off the current loop and the person you're chasing will just run to one of the 15 others on the map (45 if it's the new map)

    Knight is similar to the ptb. they really needed to increase his guard movement speed by 10% and have guard trigger the chase automatically if the guard is spawned on top of the survivor. what would make knight a lot more mindgame heavy is removing green orb so that survivor cannot see where the knight places the unit.

    Overall, just another free shift-w auto-win killer for good survivors. it is possible to get hits with his power, but its too slow for the game tempo of the game.

    I played with my friends swf today only, we saw like 1 nemesis, 1 demogorgon... and the rest were knights. We played for 5 hours straight XD

    As far as I can tell you're supposed to use the guards as a pincer attack, cutting off access to loops farther away and then closing in...

    But...

    Survivors can see the Ghost Trail of where you're going to have the Guard patrol, and you can't see Survivors to course correct even a tiny bit.

    IMO they should likely see about removing the ghost Trail

    Wouldn't it be nice if survivors had a real Exhaustion meter that depleted and recharged, so they couldn't just hold W all the time, non-stop, and out-run every non-ranged/dash mechanic in the game? So that they had to hide and sneak and use the environment tactically to give themselves a breather mid-chase?

    I've been too busy playing catchup with prestiging old killers I bought before the rework so I can get their perks; really wouldn't want to start on a new one with no BP saved up. Especially not with how meh his power looked when I was watching earlier.

    I'd be okay with him being 4.4 m/s if he could have all 3 guards patrolling at once.

    main problem with that is you cannot hide vs good killers in the chase because of scratchmarks, blood marks and grunts of pain. too much of the game is based off aggressive looping instead of hide & seek. normally killer power's should have some anti-shift w play that makes shift-w a skillful interaction between killer and survivor. Unfordunately, knight has no skill expression in making shift-w difficult. Too slow time to down.

    I faced 16 Knights out of 21 matches today...so I guess your mileage may vary.

    Tomorrow I will be playing killer - I will probably play him a few matches and then move on to other killers. I don't like playing the same killer over and over and over aside from my main.

    If you have someone on patrol, you can't activate your power at all. Furthermore, after the patrol is over, you additionally have to wait a few seconds of cool down before you can start a new one. It just hard restricts you from having 2, and then some

    But that would be so sad karu. I love his designe but it's so miserable to play. Bhvr really needs to step up there game cause it can't be that the knights destiny is to be never played like artist or twins. If they have such a big problem with making good ai or fearing good ai would be to much for survivor cause you could gang up on them they should just never used that idea

    There's only been 1 killer I can think of where the initial "this killer sucks" mentality has been reversed later, and that's Blight.

    I mean, not surprised. His initial power with the Guards and Patrol is pretty interesting, but since it can be used for Anti-Loop and this is his best playstyle, he will be played like this and this playstyle is boring, even for Killer players.

    And the problem is not that Survivors counter it by holding W, the problem is that holding W is the only way to play against this Playstyle.

    Basically, they would need to go back to the drawing board with the Knight, making his patrol far more viable and stronger while removing the possibility to use his Power as Anti-Loop. Sad thing is, knowing BHVR, they will just buff some numbers, which make him stronger in Anti-Loop, so he will be a stronger Killer with that boring playstyle.

    Really not looking forward to bringing this guy to P9...

    Well but the Artists you see are probably very good at her, using her Birds perfectly to hit or to trigger Perks whatever.

    Knight is a pure M1-Killer with Bots. Even Nemesis has more to offer. You have 0 Power you are in control. You set them, they do whatever they want. Thats it. You can order some things, but lets be real: The only order worth it is the Carnifex to destroy a pallet. Besides that, just press M2, create a route or not and move on playing M1 all the time.

    Wesker is definitely the best killer they brought out this year.

    Bots = usually very bad. Same with Zombies for example. Well, you can tell them where to go or what to do (I think the only viable thing is the Carnifex for destroying a Pallet while you move on, but apart from that, kinda meh).

    Unironically I've had substantially more fun facing an Eruption 2x Recharge Nurse than being fscecamoed by a Knight twice over using his power and being guaranteed to die because this is solo queue and nobody knows how to deal with that. At least when I'm facing a Nurse I know it'll be over quickly, the Knight has to catch me first and that'll take him 4 gens.

    The sad part is he does have a interesting power but BHVR so many "Training Wheels" on him that the only viable way to play him is as a Knock Off of The Artist.

    If survivors didn't see the orb as your pathing, or see the Guard's Range, or even get such a big benefit from grabbing the flag then he would be more viable than he is now. Honestly keeping the boost for grabbing the flag would be fine as long as they take away the Survivors ability to see the patrol path and the range.

    Well, unpopular opinion here. People tend to compare him a lot with the Artist for his antiloop mechanic, but for me the Artist is way more boring to play as and against. I can't even explain why Artist is more boring to play for me, maybe because the Artist feel too sluggish? Ok, the Knight stop completely to put the guard, but you put the guard in one second or less in a loop and can continue running. Also he is very good in 3-gens and when you zone a survivor, even in a long loop, is very easy to achieve a hit because you can use the guard to break the pallet while you continue chasing the survivor and hitting him/her quickly. The main drawbacks for him are the indoor maps imo (well, like most of the killers).

    I stopped playing the Artist when I prestiged her and when playing the Knight yesterday I had tons of fun with him, idk.

    That would be so busted every game is gonna last 25 minutes and be a 3 gen scenario where the Knight will just keep spamming his guards around his 3 gen.

    terrible idea sorry this is not a good way to make him fun or viable,this killer is already a snoozefest and you want to make him worse.

    as @Aven_Fallen said BHVR needs to go back to the drawing board and not just modify numbers or add-ons which they probably won't...he needs a full rework and it's been only one day since his release.

    True. It's almost 1 full day since he came out and I allready played againts many different Killers other than the Knight lol.

    So boring as killer. His ability is easily juked or survivors are intentionally drawing attention away from the injured survivor you’re zoning. Clunky as hell and survivors seeing his little green balls is an embarrassment.
